  1. I will tell ya one thing though. On the twisties there are few that will stay with him even on his HD. He traded in a 05 with 50k on it that were hard miles with much metal missing on lower surfaces.
  2. Geo; I,m sure Ky is nice but steelhead alley is here in west mi. And salmon are still running. Fall stealheading just pickin up. Plus you get six months to work on bike and save on insurance. You also get to pay alot more for everything so Mi must be better.
  3. thanks for help brother Syscrusher; Lookin at digital panels and Dakota has a nice one. starting at $8hundred something. Next please
  4. Friend of mine called last nite very excited. He just got home from HD shop. He said he had a little something for me and I better put the super tune on ol venture. It started cause I drove around him so easily one day allowing him to take off first and I was riding double with several pounds in bags. So we got a pension buy out from electrolux and he gets his in december. He went and bought two 09,s a street glide and a fat boy that is stripped down with stage one. both 96ci six speeds. Just wondering where my commission is? The MACHINE is ready and waiting.
  5. great one, also where is his ferrari?
  6. could we see previous years?
  7. Glad you and bear(bike) survived. I hate to see any road kill. It is such a waste of life.
  8. Having never riden anything as big as a venture I was unsure if I could manage one. Tipped it over in driveway first week I had it. Then later that month at a stop sign, I put feet down but pavement dropped off on right side so I leaned over to right with wife on back. I got bike stopped from going all the way when she decided to help hold it up. Only problem is her foot was several inches from ground, so she grabbed hand hold and proceeded to pull bike over as she attempted to put foot down. Then saturday I was taking bike off center stand and it leaned away from me as it rolled off stand, pulling me over on bike as I tried to save it. Busted up my shin, broke right fairing and pushed air inlet grill off, breaking it, screwed up rt mirror, now it wont hold position, put scrapes in windshield. I got bike uprite and since I was checking tires prior to a color ride, we put 350mi on. I picked the wrong roads as we saw miles of scrub pine and forest fire remnants east of houghton and higgins lks. Color tour ended up being the colors of charcoal and green.

    Kudos

I have dealt with pinwall on occasion and enjoy their customer service. Top notch
  10. Stopped yesterday and went up to door, no answer. A mkI was parked out front, 26k on odometer. Looked like new. Gloss black. Really looked nice.
  11. Our prayers and thoughts are with David and all our military forces worldwide and in washington. sandy
  12. Brother Puc; do u want to ride my new scoot? Thanks for fixin it. Naah just lookin at mk2's. Tried to buy a couple and ended up getting them in our classifieds to see if they can get more money. But on the good side, just as yourself, if I did end up with one I would feel good about it. your friend sandy
  13. Its that time of year when I like to replenish my supply of old metric machinery. Prices are falling as everyone wants to update, get sleds or other toys, or just want to clean the garage. Been seeing some nice mk2's for little money. $1500 buys alot of fun rite now.
  14. Hope weather holds out. Looking foward to it. Got info on raffle. Can you say scam?
  15. BikerJohn; If I remember correctly, take the idle pressure, say 5psi and add 10psi per 1k of rpm, so at 2000rpm say 25psi at running temp. Just remember these are volumn pumps that produce enough to protect at reduced pressure. Check your leak and look for air in line. Did you install a automotive type gauge? with plastic line or a motorcycle specific? A 100psi wont be as accurate at low pressures as a 80psi. I would like to hear from those that have digital gauges. Good luck
  16. I would like to see a publication date on the article. I use the cheapest oil wallyworld sells. Delco fleet 15 40 used to use rotella 15/40 till added friction modifiers. I can see where castrol gtx would show good, because their gtx oil would turn to water after 1000mi just a few yrs ago. It needed improvement. I guess I will get more popcorn, please continue!!!
  17. Great performance. A loaded weight might be more accurate. Wife and myself are both getting larger. What happened to shrinking with age? We can't pull over 41mpg with 40 being the norm. Do know that I have a float needle, seat, problem. When bike sets overnite fuel pump replenishes bowls that seem empty. Good Job Pete!!!
  18. Assigning any fault to the biker is absurd. He appears to be traveling along with traffic. Alot of times you cant see in the mirrors. High beams blinding you and other things in front of you to name a few. The officer is traveling at a high rate of speed. Why didn't he stop immediately instead of continuing? I certainly don't want him back on the road I'm on. We just had a off duty trooper run off the road and kill a 16yr old and cripple another boy with him while pushing a mini bike to gas station. He was on phone and running 30 over posted speed(according to police dept). prolly alot more. Another officer just killed himself in a one vehicle roll over accident, on a straight road. Clearly there is a problem.
  19. Greeting brother Jay; what club owns the house? It sounds good to me. Looking at wearing last bit of tires and oil change out prior to ice up. Scott knows some good roads. Hope he doesn't post them here. So far a couple of em are little known, ie. still able to ride without all the traffic. 1st of oct should see some colour. ps on wining new pick up. Prolly a scam but wishful thinking on my part.
  20. Thought twerking was something to do with todays tech geek stuff. Didnt know and searched it because another vr member did. Live and learn.
  21. Have a wedding on saturday, and next saturday I'm winning a new ford f250. Maybe anyways. Trying to squeeze all the riding in I can before ice fishing. Life is good. scratch that. Life is grrrrreat.
  22. what are your thoughts of a rear tire on front of m/c? thanks ps not a trike.
  23. Congratulations on a great accomplishment. It is getting rare in todays morality to endure rather than quit. Congrats again.
  24. Yes the double banjo and line over fender works good. Same as new sport bikes. That is how I delinked the MACHINE. Only problem is my original line is so old it is still spongy. To bleed left brake line you remove caliper while line is still attached, I placed mine on a steel channel (placed inbetween pads)blocked up to allow air to rise, bleed as normal. reinstall. Looks good too. Only one line going down forks. A electronic speedo is next to clean up front end and get rid of hp robbing mechical drive(1/4hp). Good luck
  25. Goes under sidestand on soft ground. Or wait------ no idea.
