  1. In the spirit of a true Socialist,, what do mean get my own map? If I cant get free directions provided for me I sure gettin on no boat !!!
  2. You didnt miss much... Mama had her spikey riding boots on, missed a step and poked a hole in one of RBig1's tires. Fool and I ate to many Rum Balls and stirred up the chat room so bad that the Power Company pulled the plug on my house several times to cut us off. I did get to touch off the clubs full auto AK47 a couple times so ya did miss shooting that thing,, other than that,,, you really didnt miss anything.. Just another normal VR Chat session..
  3. Yeah but cha didnt have to slip the three position nozzle controller on "Random Select Full Auto" before you pulled the trigger one last time ya lop eared WWW maniac varmint!!
  4. What,, no directions? The Pucster dont do well without directions brother!! Please go to google maps,, find the route you got planned, zoom in a little on it, go to the URL and copy/paste a link and share it... If nothing else, this would warm an old frozen heart wayyyy up here in the great North ya lop eared riding in the warm southern breezes varmint
  5. That @Flyinfool is DEFINITELY feeling better and is DEFINITELY on my Hero's list!! Exactly 1 foot of wet, heavy fresh Wisconsin White Wash in exactly 8 hours time and STILL coming down:clap2::clap2::clap2::dancefool::dancefool:!!!!! Not bad,, not a bad at all Jeff:thumbsup2: Now where did I put the keys to our new 4x4 truck,,, dad burn lousy lop eared loss of memory geezer varmint stuff...
  6. Yeppers,, I have a lift table, cherry picker (the HF model with the two arms that go under the bike) and a couple of the standard Motorcycle Jack stands too and know exactly what you are referring to concerning the exhausts in the way - that was what my thoughts were on inquiring about the possibilty of you having something fabbed up for stantions.. For my Venture I use the cherry picker the most as its easiest to get around the scoot with and lifts the highest. Take a peek at this quick little vid of mine if/when you get a second and you will notice the extremes a ratty old back yard wrench spinner like myself will go to to get around the need for those stantions = maybe you will feel sorry for me and remember to include me in any update you have on stantions .. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR POSTING HERE MY GEAR HEADED BROTHER!!! Keep up the good work!! Puc
  7. Yep,, I know it can be bewildering when ya see 237 viewers on there.. Thing to remember padawan Patch is that only a small fraction of those "viewers" you are seeing being counted are actual people.. A HUGE percentage are some kind of a "bot" (at least that is what I have been told = perhaps @Freebird or @Marcarl could school both of us, willing to learn, padawans how that works?). The easiest way to tell exactly how many actual lop eared human type VR member varmints are online is to go back to the place where I explained to you to see if there are varmints in the chat room, scroll up a little bit and you can actually see who is in the club house at any given time.. That help?
  8. One of my shootin varmint buddies who is doing the Ruger Mini routine instead of the AR platform like myself sent this over to me... Gotta admit,, those Ruger Mini's are indeed WOWZY WOW WOW WOW cool too and these 308's definitely have a very special appeal to em!!!
  9. Current West Michigan Hotel California weather:
  10. What cha talkin about ya lop eared varmint,,, here is a pic of current West Michigan weather, taken just 1 minute ago and I risked life, limb and soul just to get this brother!! Can't even imagine actually going out in this nasty,, @Flyinfool produced weather to lite a grill ... :rasberry:
  11. WOWZY WOW WOW WOW:178: = Now THAT is BAD TO THE BONE Herm :dancefool::clap2::clap2::thumbsup:!! TOTALLY AWESOME BROTHER!! Thanks for posting this!! @Freebird,, any chance this could find its way into the clubs permanent, read only Tech Library? This fundementally AWESOME IMHO!! Herm, any chance you may have done something similar for lift stantions for our bike? The type that would sit on the arms of one of the foot operated hydraulic jacks that slide under the scoot? I use stacks of hockey pucks and/or 2x4's but would LOVE to see something like you have done here for a more permenant and safer lift.. Irregardless though,,, I LOVE your work my friend!! NICE JOB!! Puc
  12. Yeppers,, I dont agree with that Bongo either Mama,, aint none of gettin older,, we is ALL getter BETTER in our advanced maturity status,,, smarter,, better lookin,, better cookin,, even got brand new teeth on my end so now I can even chew those sandwiches and pizzas you make for us!! Nooo,,, I think, exploring the Medical Field and bumping into Doctors there that like to cut on our bodies and remove/replace stuff is playing a big part in why things slowed down to a crawl in Chat... I also still think that our Face Book platform played a roll in the slow down too as some of our regulars went that route for their puter time needs.. My son has been working with me on familiarizing me with how that all works and I am beginning to understand why some folks went that route = WOWZY WOW WOW WOW am I starting to have fun over there!! I just got caught up with friends on our VR FB page that I aint heard from for a while!! Plus I have a HUGE "natural" family of cousins, nieces, nephews who are FB'rs who I am now staying in touch with!!!! WAYYYYYYYYYYYY COOL!!! Anyway,,, those are my thoughts Mama!! Of course,, Bongo could be onto something,,, maybe,, possibly some of you lop eared varmints are indeed getting old BUT dont count on me being one em :guitarist 2::guitarist 2: Here is proof of my claim to fame on staying young = me and my "bucket list bike" named Maggie out chasing our tails!
  13. Well ,, my bad,, I guess I missed that post where you asked how to find the clubs chat room Patch.. I know you asked about my "Machine Gun" comment of which I answered with an explanation of where it was found in Chat.. Because of that exchange, I think I may have made the mistake of assuming you already knew where to find chat and just had missed the sound making selection there.. Now that it's obvious that you did find chat (this is correct,, right?) and found no one in the "Lobby",, let me share an easy way that I check to see if any lop eared chat room varmints are in the chat room at any given time so I dont end up going there and talking to myself (not a good plan,,, usually when I have a conversation with myself bad things happen ). If you click on "forums" from the main page and get to the opening "forums" page (where all the forums are listed = click here if you are having a hard time following me Patch, this is the page I am talking about) = https://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum.php On that opening page, scroll all the way down to the bottom and at the bottom of that page you can clearly read who is in chat at any given time. This only shows current users in the chat room. Then, if you see folks in chat, you go back up to the top of the page and enter the chat room like you already know how to do. When you click on the VR Chat icon you will automatically join in the chat room fun. After you type a message in to join the fun, you just hit the "enter" key on your keyboard to make your comment viewable to the chat room varmints.. Make sense? Sorry I missed your original inquiry about how to access chat brother,, had I have seen it I would have gladly brought you up to speed on it all:happy34:.. Word of advice,, if need help in the future with something along that line, including bike repair or what ever,,, IMHO, the best way to get answers (and you may have done this in the first place but I am thinking this might be good advice for others not doing this and who may be reading this) to questions that I have found is to, after doing a quick search, start a new thread and state the nature of your question (as an example to others, if looking for access to the Chat Room, I would title the new thread something like = Need Help; How do I access Chat?). If your question is buried in a running thread about a different topic it is to easy to get overlooked IMHO. Hope this helps someone! Puc
  14. Nope, Mama's leathers are legendary around the club,, IMHO,, the reason no one told you about the link was probably cause ya didnt ask ya lop eared varmint
  15. I LOVED those early SOHC 750 Honda's and spent a fair amount of time rebuilding em, dropping in 805 kits to make em really run and chopping em out to make some pretty cool Chops.. I had a Santee Soft Ride with an 18 over front end that, after raking the frame out, ran out to Sturgis several times.. GOOD RUNNING SCOOTS and very reliable = as long as you pre lube the cam real well if it sat for numerous years = I bought a "parts bike" one time from a guy who thought he could just fire er up after sitting in his barn for 20 years,, he went 5 miles, siezed the cam so solid that the cam actually snapped in half cause he didnt take a few minutes and pre lube that puppy
  16. Chase That Front Wheel,, Chasing That Front Wheel, Chase The Front Wheel and so on and so forth You welcome brother!!
  17. Close to it brother,,, when I was in High School I had a slight receeding hairline and a well established 2 inch bald spot right on the top/back of my beener,,, my pea sized gearheaded brain was obviously growing with knowledge of spinning wrenches wayyy faster than my stretching from growth head could keep up with :doh: And yeah,, that Tippy,,,, WOWZY WOW WOW WOW ... I had to do a LOT of fast talkin and hard chasing to get a ring on her finger BUT,,, having learned at a very young age of the importance of steadfast and persistent and to not be afraid of hard work = LOOK who I ended up getting to spend 40 years (and still climbing) of my life with :thumbsup:!! Speaking of my shining beener,, wanna hear true but funny story about such? Thought so... Got a really close friend who has owned and operated the local Yamaha Shop for years.. George (the owner) is a few years older than myself and has a full head of WHITE (not grey,, SNOW WHITE) hair.. I walked into the shop one day, looked at him as I took a bite out of his donut laying on the counter and said "You know George,,, if that hair on top of your head gets any whiter you would be REALLY hard to see in a snow storm !! George looked at me standing there eating his breakfast, thought for just a second (George has ALWAYS been quick witted), stared at my head, smirked and said: You know Scott,, one nice thing about this head full of White Hair I am sporting,, I can always DYE IT
  18. :dancefool::dancefool: Indeed they were bullet proof engines but, the 350 Motosport I rode when I was a kid taught me they aint exactly long distance scoots.. After 20k miles, the little bicycle chain Honda chose for a timing chain (pre Hyvo?) would stretch to the point that the cam chain tentioner could no longer tension and then the chain would side slop enough to eat right thru the casting tunnel it ran thru and ya end up with oil pouring out from between the jugs,,, repairable with chewing gum in an emergency situation though
  19. While filling a 1 terrabyte hard drive with video's and pictures of times past for my oldest daughters Birthday present I ran across numerous old pics of a CTFW adventure that Tip and I took the year we were married... While far from being my/our 1st or last scoot, this old 71 Honda CL350 that I pieced together from parts and pieces did it's job magnificantly and hauled our newly wed backsides from our home in Fruitport Michigan all the way over to the east Coast of Michigan and up to the Upper Penisula (the pic on the water was taken on the North side of the Mackinaw Bridge) and then down along Michigan's GORGEOUS west coast back to our home.. The only issue we had was a flat front tire (she let go on a longgg sweeping curve in Alpena Michigan = a harrowing experience to say the least but as a rider with a passenger (didnt go down but spooky non the less) I learned a lot about riding down a scoot with a flat front tire when 2 up = knowledge that would come in really handy on future CTFW adVentures. The pic with me at the front of the bike was takin at garage where the owner loaned me the tools necessary to do the repair and even donated the tube patch stuff to patch up the tube and get us on our way again. Thought I would share with you lop eared CTFW varmints!! NOW ITS YOUR TURN!! GET OUT AND CTFW!! Puc
  20. PERFECT TIMING Corporal Newkirk = PERFECT!!! Our decent riding doesnt even start up here in Michigan until late spring,,, July 1st. I may sneak some MGnEM's for the locals (of course,, these events are open to all BUT brrrrrrrrrrr and WOWZY,, WET TOO,, I sure wouldn't chance riding up here from out of State for a Hot Dog any earlier at this point in my life if I was coming up out of those warm southern states BUT,, last year videoarizona did come up for Maintenance Day and did fine I believe = he is much braver than I though).. July through August though,,, MICHIGAN is THE place to ride and I know ALL the great riding adventures here!! Matter of fact, our home is located right at the beginning of the prettiest, cool roads available for CTFW! My kids and Tip have all been cross country many times on a Venture with me,, camping and chasing back and forth thru National Parks and the like and my youngest daughter is absolutely convinced in her mind that our "Tunnel of Trees" on the Northern CTFW route is the coolest CTFW adventure anywhere in the States = that is why we call her "TOTR" (Tunnel Of Trees Rider).. Give your shoulder time to heal, watch for a July or August Puc's MGnEM, ride up, enjoy a day of Hot Dogs with all the fixens, travel light and stay here at the house for a couple nights and enjoy some of Michigans FINEST while here.. Go home FULL of Hot Dogs and great Michigan adVenture memories... I say listen to your doctor, heal up and THEN,, LET ER BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. You betcha she does brother,,, ya just gotta hang out in the VR Chatroom with her and a bunch of these other lop eared story telling VR varmints for a couple evenings to really get to figure out with it is
  22. RUNNNNNNN,, its the Russians :rotf: Hopefully you KNOW that I am just teasing you Fed,,, :group cheers::group cheers: my Russian brother!!! I am very very glad and honored to make your acquaintance my friend.. I really have no answers for your question as I am still riding one of the real old Ventures BUT I did want to welcome you to the Club!! Thank you for signing up and I bid you the very best in finding the answers you are searching for!!! Regards Puc
  23. Sly,, I grew up hunting public lands (you know,, lands that are owned by We The People) and learned the ends and outs of that business from my deceased Father (I inherited his 300 Savage,, its an old 99E Lever Action that my Mom bought for him brand new for their wedding gift - when I was 6 years old my dad started taking me Deer Hunting with him on public land and I can still remember how HUGE that 300 was to my little eyes - IT IS A TREASURE CHEST FILLED WITH GREAT MEMORIES OF SOME AWESOME TIMES WITH MY FATHER - someday I will dig it out and snap some shots for our thread here).. I hunted those Northern Michigan lands very successfully and even took my family on MANY hunting outings (both bow and gun) with me on them - we used the lands we owned.. About 12 years into raising my family on a small 10 acre piece of land in rural Michigan I grabbed a large piece of property with an old house on it north of Ravenna Mi that was SURROUNDED by thousands of acres of State Land. We raised our kids there with snowmobiling, dirt biking, trout fishing (one of Muskegon's best Brookie Streams ran thru our property) and hunted EVERYTHING from Rabbits (kids each had a Beagle) to White Tail right out our back door... The only down side I found (other than living on 5 miles of gravel road - when the kids got older and started driving fixing cars became a FULL TIME JOB!!) with the picture I just painted was that people REALLY had NO respect for our private land - even though it was clearly posted.. I, myself,, didnt even bother hunting our private acreage as I never really cared for the idea of a stray round goin thru the house.. I did have a "bait pile" (in Michigan bait piles are legal) on our property and tree stands over it BUT that was strickly a go to place for the kids = my kids had over 30 deer "named" and many many late nights, my oldest daughter would not come in till wayy after dark as she REALLY enjoyed just sitting out there and watching the deer play and listening to them after dark = all another VERY good reason why I REALLY DID NOT WANT TRESSPASSERS WITH GUNS OUT THERE.. I never actually did shoot a deer on our land,, having been raised on public = I always LOVED and enjoyed the freedom of hunting public and I did so even when living there... As time went on,, the burden of owning/insuring/monitoring/tearing down blinds/fixing cars and on and on just got to be more of a hassle than it was worth.. I had one group of guys who I had to chase off our property numerous times a year - nothing could convince them that "State Land Hunting" can be just as good and rewarding as private land can be (actually,, IMHO its better but ONLY if you know how to work it, scout it, plan it = HUNT IT) and that was very frustrating - sort of took the joy out of owning private IMHO...
  24. Sadly,, the only shootin of the AR's I/we have done so far (this FOUL weather has been KILLING US) has been 2 boxes of 12 ga thru the AR12 (Tip shot most of those though as I was trying to determine whether or not she needed an AR of a traditional shotgun for her own shooter) and a few hundred rounds thru the AR15 with the 22lr CMMG conversion kit dropped in it to test the kit (ran great).. Sly,, I am sitting on a HUGE variety of ammo for both the 556/223 and the 308 for "testing" to see what each of them prefer both for accuracy and in feed. LOTS of Steel and Brass. Been shopping and buying off auction all winter and,, to be truthful,, am getting down right ornery with this weather... I WISH I could report something different my brother but these old bones just dont handle the cold like they used to.. Once the weather breaks and the fun begins,, would you like pics, vids and story telling time about such? Is there something that you would like me to do for fun AR "testing"? Dont be a shy Sly,, if ya got something you AR curious about,, let me know and I will do my best to give it shot (another pun intended).. Sign Me = The Fair Weather Biker Looking Forward To Fair Weather Shootin!!
