  1. ME TOO!! Have ALWAYS loved the high pipe design, just something about em that looks bad to the bone!!!
  2. DITTO ON WHAT BARRY'S PREACHIN!!! This place would be just another one of those boring, lifeless, unforgiving, tasteless, classless sites that I visit from time to time without all you great folks out there in VR land.. And Barry, YOU are a keeper my friend, a true Cuda on a Scoota! Puc loves ya'll:bighug:
  3. WHEW,, what an interesting start to the new year!! Kids were here for Christmas from Sac. All trying to get home, one daughter with her fiance ended up leaving Friday in a rental car and DROVE back to Sacramento cause they couldnt trust the airlines (she's in Residency), her fiance was suppose to fly down to Costa Rica for a school lab project but that flight got canceled 4 times and he went back to Cali with her in the car. Other daughter and fiance took the chance and waited on the airlines, our local (Grand Rapids) airport finally hooked them up with a flight out of Detroit headed to DC than on to Sac.. Tippy and I ran her over to Detroit, got home early this morning.. Personally I would have liked to kept em all till spring (its only a couple weeks away right?) but they got lives.. Now,, about that fresh foot of snow on the drive,,, wish I had your ambition Don... Man is it snowing here!!!!!:soapbox:
  4. Hmmm,, good question,,, 0 I guess,, the odometer died on the 83 year before last out in Montana at 148k and never did fix it..
  5. What the heck is that thang?? Tried "zvito.com" and got to a page I aint spose to open... Hey Ruffy,, you can always jump on a 1st genny for cheap and keep ridin - plus you can get to the rally's before everyone else cause everyone knows 1st genners are fasssstest!!
  6. Ridin necked - yes, wearin a skirt - no,,,,, gotta draw the line somewhere.......
  7. Few years ago I crawled thru one of these spokeless hubs on chop at sturgis.. Got talkin to the builder afterwards about the rideability of such a creation.. The rear pulley is very close to hitting the ground when the bike is standing upright, go into a corner to sharp and your metal to ground (way it looked to me). I asked the guy who built the bike about it and he said,, yea,, his wasnt built to ride it was built to look at... Definitly different..
  8. Now we're talkin!! A man and wife could have a BLAST riding cross country on that puppy... Them boys at the Sturgis Rally would finally show some respect if ya pulled in, wife kneeling on the seat swinging a .50 cal around:backinmyday:
  9. Needs a saddle horn though, taint no self respecting cowpoke gonna go roppin cows without a saddle horn... NICE!!
  10. OUTSTANDING!!!
  11. 20 on da kid... Quicker reflex's, less weight, more streamlined and no fear..
  12. Trellborgs front and rear like I use to run on my KX500 in the snow, the torque of that big twin would rip the chains right off the tire and toss chunks of concrete thru the neighbors picture window... :stirthepot: Wonder if HD would cover that set up if ya had problems with it...
  13. BINGO!!! THANKS A ZILLION Prairiehammer, I ran their supply down to 9!!! Gotta love this place! Puc
  14. Hey Lewis, CONGRATS!! My neighbor bought one identical to yours (it appears) a couple weeks ago, COOL SHOOTER!! His is a .40 cal - seems like around here the .40 ammo is easier/cheaper to come by.. I loved the weight (light) and also the price (got his for well under 400 bucks too) AND, if memory serves me correctly, those are also American made,,, seems like made in Ohio or something?? Cant remember the brand name but it seems like it was a short name, company fairly new to the market.. You think thats wise putting a loaded gun in Jamies hands? Tell em Puc said "hey".. Puc
  15. Yea ya did!!! AWESOME PIC, BEAUTIFUL!! I WILL TAKE ONE OF EACH!!
  16. I dont watch a lot of TV and I really dont even know who Michael Bolton is (my music tastes are stuck in the 60's/70's - oldies and willie) BUT if you are talking about the commercial with the blonde hair guy (kinda tall and slender) standing on the steps of a building "singing" at the top of his lungs,,,,,,, I TOTALLY GOT YOUR BACK ON THIS ONE RANDY - MAKE ME WANNA WATCH A LOT LESS TV!! Had enough too!! Puc
  17. Hi Cecdo Maybe just water on the plug wire, remove from plug and squirt it with WD 40. Next I I would begin with drying it out real well, sometimes snow will gather around the engine, thaw as it warms and cause a short around the coil/plug wire.. While its warming/drying I would replace the plug - once a plug blackens from choking to start the motor they dont always fire best. Depending on the age of your unit, you may find an adjustable main jet on your carb. Look under the carb and you will see a float bowl, in the center of that bowl will either be a bolt head or a bolt head with a screw sticking out of it. If it appears to have a screw sticking out of the center of the bolt head it is the adjustable type (be thankful if this is the case). Its very common for snowblowers to go out of adjustment as weather changes. By the sounds of things, your blower may be running a little lean, while the machine is idling - turn the screw slowly to the left (counter clockwise) and see if smooths out, turn it out only till it clears to a decent idle, if it gets worse try going the other way and richen it. A slow up and down rpm at idle is not uncommon. Bring it to high revs quickly and see it responds to throttle, then test it wide open under a load and see if it handles the extra fuel. If it seems sluggish under a load turn the screw clockwise (less fuel) 1/8th turn and try again.. PRAY FOR SPRING SO WE CAN ALL GET OUT OF THIS MISERY!!! Puc
  18. So where do we find good JIS bits for our hand held impact drivers? Thanks for the info Jonesy!! Puc
  19. Is there tent camping on site for us bums? About how many bikes usually show for this event? How warm/dry is the Dalles area during the month of June?? Thanks folks
  20. Congrats VentureFar on a ride well done!! Riding warm is one thing, riding when its cold out is a whole nuther matter, glad you made it safely thru your ad-venture buddy!!!! Puc
  21. All the way from sunny Sacremento, YUMMMM YUMMMM!!! 32 pounds of fresh lemons and oranges right from her own back yard!! Made a big batch of fresh lemonaid, scraped all the insides out of a bunch of the lemons so the lemonaid was super pulpy, took the rhines and stuffed em in a turkey and smoked that puppy for 5 hours, WOW - what a time we are having!!! May be to cold/snowy for riding but it aint to cold for getting fat :rotf: Oh yea, from our family to all of you - HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! Puc:12101:
  22. Phew,,, when I started reading this I thought it was gonna turn into another - why Puc hates plumbing threads.. ANYTIME I fool with plumbing I end up rebuilding the whole system,, starts with me replacing a valve under a sink only to discover I caused a leak 2 and miles away by doing so... Glad this one worked out as well as it did!!!
  23. HAPPY NEW YEARS MY FRIEND! It was really neat getting to meet you down at Vogel, all the way from Michigan just like us!! Maybe this year we will get a chance to do it again.
