  5. Hey,, buddie,,, gotta dime?? Reminds me of high school,, there was always a row of us bums leaning against the wall next to the lunch room,, just sayin... Sure enough Bongo, I scrolled down the page and there is a "buddy list" with "pm" right there beside my buddies names,,, now I wonder what the little "x" next to the "pm" is for - kind of afraid to click on it cause I dont wanna lose the only friend I have
  6. Other than the warm fuzzies we get when someone asks to be our "friend" (shows up in the message box) are there some kind of other advantages to this?? Neat option, just tryin to learn more on these cold winter days..
  7. Way cool Lewis! Sounds to me like you have some really cool reminders of days long gone by.. Also sounds like your dad was a quite a guy, can you imagine not only having to not only lift them big ol wrenches but actually WORK with them all day .. Neat that your passing things along to the kids coming up!! Hey, if you look in the picture below at the wall behind the bike you will notice my old 760 hanging on the wall with a couple of air pistols.. Memories brother,,, ohh the memories...
  8. Thats easy motha, the TP is for wiping the snow off your boots before you take em off to remove your socks to line the urinal....
  9. Wayy cool Blackowl!!!! I could probably hit something if I could find the bench to rest on :rotf::rotf: Kinda reminds me of looking thru the scope on my old 22/250,,,, draw littles circles,, time it just right and POOF - black feathers everywhere at 250 yards.... Yea,,, neat game:backinmyday:
  10. Wish I had one Barry, I would give it to you just to get pictures back of the look on his face when he opened the package!!!!!!! I know exactly the popper your talking about and will keep my popper loving eyes peeled for one!! No, thankfully!! Buddy had an old abandoned farmhouse across from his home, we used it all the time for a battle ground.. We had about 5 enemy soldiers trapped in the house while we hid on top of the old chicken coop.. I had already tried tossing grenades (old shoe with lit firecrackers inside it) in thru a window to spook em out - didnt work.. Ron (enemy) was hiding behind a window frame but left his hand showing on the frame work.. 10 pumps in the 760 was enough to peel the skin up from his middle fingers fingernail to the first nuckle, thats about the worst injury any of us ever got:whistling: Oh yea, another great trick with that lil popper was 20 pumps, fill the barrel with bb's and use it like a shot gun... Your welcome Lew!! Amazing how resilient the little poppers can be! Way cool you still have that old one from your Dad!!
  11. "That puts retailers in a position where they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. It’s only been a little less than two weeks since they’ve been in business, but as anyone could imagine, it couldn’t possibly be easy to do business with both the federal government and violent drug cartels breathing down your neck at the same time." Totally agree! The problem is that we have had a legal, judgement impairing drug (alcohol) in our society for years now and have proven over and over again that, in many cases, expecting people who are high/drunk to choose prudent behavior doesnt work.. It's just very difficult to expect someone who is intoxicated to CHOOSE to stay home/not drive home from the bar and not be dangerous to the public on the highways.. Good judgement while drinking/toking is kind of an oxymoron.. Speaking about judgement impairment problems, the road ways are only one area that suffers.. I have many many friends/neighbors who, like me, have had issues with drug/alcohol use.. Some have kids in prison for DUI, others have had families split up, jobs lost and we even have a couple of families who have lost loved ones to people who made the wrong choice - this is tough stuff... Introducing yet another form of legally getting a buzz-on when we have proven we cant be trusted to protect others, who are innocent, with the one we already have just doesnt seem right.. Maybe fix the first before we do the latter.. Now, being the horse trader that I am,,, I'd swap recreational use of pot for: the public serving of alcohol/pot - go to home use only, either raise the age of the kids we accept into the Military to 21 or lower the drinking age to 18 (never made sense - responsible enough to die for us but not to drink. - home use only, remove "felon status" from DUI and prison time - rehab instead of punish - support help for families, abused spouses and such associated to drug/alcohol abuse,,, manditory breathalysers for all motor vehicles tied directly to the ignition - puff to start - we have manditory seatbelts/airbags/helmets laws to protect the drunk driver - time to protect the innocent too... Kinda think the same way about the whole idea of deriving tax revenue from selling Pot,, it would be really cool if we could see balanced budgets (states and federal) before we toss in more revenue, let em show "we the people" they can be responsible with what they have BEFORE we give em more Yea, yea, yea,,,, I know,, Pucs in a dream world again..... Fighting pain is a whole nother issue, I certainly can not understand why Pot has not been used legally medically all along, probably has more to do with control of the $$ flow than anything.. This never did make sense..
  12. That plunger rear end and stamped tool kit had me thinkin maybe someone who bought into the Indian markee and built a baby indian,,,, little diggin and yep - looks like Ion had it right,,, never ever heard of an RSY and I thought that 650 A1 was Kawi's only pushrod bike motor,,, learn something new everyday!!! Good thread Hell Yea!!!
  13. Yea Bongo,, and a double smacker at that,,, just what I need to get me started these days!! FOR SURE REINY,,, we go from a thread with pages and pages and pages of playin the "why" game to one like this,,,,,,, and yet new people join the VR family madness everyday - ,,
  14. Hold the emergency you guys, I figured it out....... You can all quit worrying about it now, phewww..
  15. :rotf: Only problem is now I gotta decide whether I want warm feet and a cold bottom or a warm bottom and cold feet, only owning one pair of socks has its limits
  16. HELLO FROM THE FROZEN STATE OF MICHIGAN U.S.A!! Just watched the youtube video you have posted in your signature (from your reply to CarbonOne's birthday party thread).. NICE, really really NICE!!! Was that something you were part of? Are there any pics of you in the vid? If so, where at? How much is gas over there? I see you are riding a 99 RSV, what would your bike sell for if you were going to replace it? Around here I think somewhere between 4 and 5 thousand American Dollars would be its value.. Are there many Yamaha shops in your area, how about other makes? Are there really cool twisty country roads where you live or is it mostly city riding? Sorry about all the questions but it's not everyday that an ol biker from Michigan gets to chit chat with a French biker.. How cool is that... Oh yea,, take notice you guys,,, I didnt hi-jack CarbonOne's birthday thread (1 VR brownie point for Puc),,, this time:stirthepot: Long live VR! Puc

    Why?

WE HAVE YET TO REALLY GET ANY ANSWERS TO OUR QUESTIONS ON THIS THREAD... WHY IS THIS,,, WHY OH WHY Someone really needs to go thru this thread and count the number of times "WHY" has been mentioned,, lets vote on who does it,,, looks like YammerDan got the vote,,, let us know what you come up with bro,,, and DONT ask WHY:no-no-no:
  18. SOUNDING GOOD THERE DARRIN!! To do the plug caps you just unscrew em from the wires.. Not real sure on the wires themselves, as far as removing them from the coils, but I wouldnt be surprised to find out that the coils have the same screw in method that the caps do,, I may have an old set of coils downstairs to be able to check for you,,, I will let you know if I do.. I have in the past trimmed a very short section of the wire back when installing new caps - just to get into better wire, if you do so double check for length before you trim em.. That ignition module sounds interesting,, cant wait to hear how that performs for you!! Good luck on the brackets too!!! Puc
  19. OUCH!!!!
  20. You aint no klutz Sapper, that is soooo stinkin easy to do, I hate face plantin... REALLY sorry you got hurt brother!! I LOVE your comment about not riding but pushing - THAT is a keeper!!! Heal quick and fully my friend!! Gotta admit, this thread is funny :rotf:BUT I aint laughin at your pain brother,,, "formal attire" :rotf: Annie :rotf: shame on you,,, and "ragtop" worried about ur suit :rotf:you guys... Kind of a good reminder for us all to keep an eye on the road this year :rotf: (karma puc karma ) You guys got me all wound up now.....
  21. Yea Bongo, your record stuck or something,,,,, sides that stop hi-jackin my thread,, your hurtin my feelings and all that,,, some people got no upbringin I tell ya,,, get em Annie,, ssssssic em... :stirthepot::rotf::rotf: Dats da point Annie,,, ya take out da eyes - da race is over!!!! Dont worry sister, we will forewarn ya so it aint you who's blinded.. Now about chipping things off,,,,,, she's gotta point Dan,,, I think I would rather loose the race than have things chipping off.. Oh yea,,, skipped school back in high school with about 20 of my buddies.. All riding 350 Honda's (couple ol Beezers too).. Hot spring day, all us young bucks gettin stupid, one dare turns into another and pretty soon we're all ripping around with our birthday suits on :rotf: Probably not a good idea nowadays with all the satellite's watching us,,,, I am sure we would be labeled "terrorist" instantly nowadays,,, dont need those problems:no-no-no:
  22. Interesting point Dan, I have had lots and lots of folks tell me how much they like the xtra space on the MK2, I always really liked the easy removing (could literally have the rear tire off in less than 20 minutes) fold outs - only had one time that a bagged popped open (during a downpour know less) cause my kid forgot to lock it.. Just gazing at the MK2 I can see where lost pop a top could easily happen... Also looks like its wrench time for removal... Kinda like the looks of the more slender saddles on the MK1 too... Yea,, good point..
  23. How cool is that Jim!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!!!!! Sounds like you were way more serious about it than I, I just did it cause,,,, I liked em.. It is a SMALL world my friend - go figure meeting a design engineer from Crosman on a biker site I would LOVE to see your signed guns someday and shake your hand my friend, (YOU made childhood an outstanding experience - THANK YOU!!) - THAT would be an honor!!!! I KNOW what cha mean about the feed cam on the 600s, mine always loved good round nose pells to feed correctly (dug out many twisted up lead pile jams) but when they got sloppy you couldnt get em to feed worth a hoot.. I sold a few 600's to guys who were "hopping them up" somehow, never got into it myself but I guess they were something.. I LOVED the (what I called) copy cat guns of yesteryear, Pump shot guns, Model 99's, M1's ect all made by Crosman.. Had a bunch of 101's (way before your time), bunch of the 400's (good shooters), .. Those pics just barely scratched the surface, here's a few more for your enjoyment, the one with my wife in it is about half way thru the process of gettin ready to sell (notice the layers starting on the bed - I had it bad..).. Tippy worked her tail off making lists of them, I just played with em while wiping em down and crying about losing my babies.... Oh yea, I think my oldest one was the first year model of the Benjamin muzzle pump, really neat ol popper... This place never ceases to amaze me!! Puc
  24. Together we will whip this puppy Skid!!!!! Thank you for the follow up even though we were all hoping for better news,,, now we know how to pray for you!!!! Please let us know when the surgery will be!! Puc
  25. Got ur back buddy,,, and if we cant figure it out there are geniuses on here who can!!! Anytime Stealth,,, kinda cold out there right now BUT summers coming,,,, I HOPE!!! You would know wayyyyyy more than I do Sys,, this is my 1st Mk2 - got a pretty good handle on the 1st 1st Gens (owned many) but this is the newest Venture I have ever owned... I did cheat though, one of the guys down at Vogel (who was that you guys?? - nice guy - THANKS!!) let me play on his 2nd 1st Gen a little but I didnt get a good look at the pipes,,,, they just dont look like something Yamaha would hang on a bike - to narrow, not enough excess weight for OEM,, but I am with ya, what do I know... It won't work Dan ,,, gonna take a whole lot more than those pipes to wake up that new Gen2 :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: If it comes to that YOU are numeral uno on the list big guy!!!! Count on it Pegasus!!
