Co-Pilot to Pilot in flight to Bahamas: The guy was from Michigan, said it had been 4 months since he'd seen green grass and riden his motorcycle, said he could NOT wait 30 more minutes to land... Pilot to Co-Pilot: Must be some boneheads in Michigan, he forgot his chute...

11:00 news flash: The Federal Regulators Of Scam Elections of Naming (aka - FROSEN) issued a recall on the National Election being conducted for Naming YammerDan's New RSV today. Regulators issued their recall notice claiming that formal "Required Universal Mandates Allowing Democratic Decisions" (aka - R.U.MADD) had not been met.. RUMADD requires that a minimum of 50 votes be tallied in order for the results of the election to be valid.. Apparently, a recent National Poll For "Naming YammerDan's Bike" failed to meet these standards by 1 vote.. A new National Election is now in process..

Hey Yammer, sure dont remember the "Charity News" drag stuff.. Those were the days when I was very heavily into Motocross and HareScramblin, probably out riding wheelies on my brand new 1973 Honda CR250M Elsinore putting it to em on the Motocross tracks when you were ruling the drag strips.. Were you racing an XS650 Yam back then, wasnt that Yams big bike in the early 70's?? We should hook up Bert!!! Hey, I see your in Canada, I have one of those new Michigan "Enhanced" Drivers Licenses, any idea if they work like they are suppose to (not suppose to have to have a Pass Port)? That dont sound good Craze!! Glad it wasnt any worse, sounds like your in league with the rest of us frost bitten, cabin fevered bikers who can only stare at our steeds!!! Hope your healing process is complete for riding time so we can alll ride together!!!!!

DITTO!!! I have replaced LOTS of them on other bikes but NEVER had one fail on one of my Ventures.. Broda, if it winds up being the switch dont replace it with any of these little cheapies, I would spend the xtra and go OEM!!!

A couple years ago 2 buddies of mine and I went and test rode the new Victory bikes. I love test riding new bikes, I dont care if there mopeds, dirt bikes, road bikes, minibikes,, I just like riding em and being around em.. Now that I think about it, I like test riding old bikes too.. Anyway, we rode everything the factory guys had sitting there.. One of the last ones that I rode was called the Victory 8 Ball Vision.. When I got back I asked if I could take it back out.. This particular bike had something really "different" in its handling charectoristics that made me want to goof off on it some more.. For some reason it had a feel to it that reminded me of these toys that my kids had, Weebles.. You could just flog this thing and it always felt like you couldnt force it to go down.. My buddies totally agreed with me and we nicked named it the Weeble (weebles will wobble but they wont fall down).. After riding it the second time, I pulled into the lot, sat there on it explaining to the factory rep what I had "felt" and he says, "wanna see something really cool, climb off the bike and let go of it".. I did and without putting the kickstand down it just sat there on its side pads - UNREAL!!! In all my years of riding, this bike was the closest non-custom bike to being "perfect" in its ride attitude that I have ever experienced.. Later that year a Honda Helix scooter followed me home from an excursion.. Tippy and I ride this thing ALOT when we are home.. I have often commented to her how the Helix has some simular "feel" to it like the Weeble.. Puc

Well Bert,, at least ya got out AND ya got see, smell, touch and goof off with something to do with motorcycles!!!! I have come away from so many swap meet/bike shows with exactly that same feeling,, what a waste of time and money.. Then there are others that still have that WOW factor!! Hey, if you EVER get to Michigan when the Gilmore Museum in Kalamazoo is having their motorcycle swap meet/show it is well worth the 12 dollar entrance fee!!! One of the few that I have been to in recent years that I can guarentee you will go WOW - especially if your into vintage bikes!!!! As far as new bike stuff, apparel. Back when I had my shop I would go to the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis every year (have to be a or know a dealer to get into this one) that is AMAZING!! If you ever get a chance to attend this one you will be go away thinking, now THAT is what bike shows should be like!!!! I guess its just like anything else in life,, ya gotta take the good with the bad and keep smiling cause SPRINGS COMING!!!

Here ya go Boda, the switch is one of the ol mechanical types, it is hidden behind the passenger foot peg assembly on the right side. Its adjustable. You should see movement on the plunger sticking out of the bottom of it when you press down on the foot brake.. I was actually surprised to not find a hydraulic switch but this type of switch has been used for years.. Should be easily available if you need one!! Puc

Interesting topic, one of my 1st gens had obviously had non aluminum friendly anti-freeze used in it.. I found that out when I went to update the water pump impellar and noticed that the inside of water pump casing was majorly eaten away and globs of gelled goo came out.. I did ride that puppy out to its retirement but always wondered what the rest of the "hidden" aluminum coolant jackets looked like

Thats exactly what I thought when I read this Bongo!! Like Dan said, GREAT idea!! If you cant find another bike to test it on, I bet one of these Maintenance Days things would be a great place to mess with it!! Did you buy it on a credit card, or thru Paypal?? Is it to late to stop payment?

INTERESTING POINT DAN!!!! I KNOW I am SPOILED by the adjustability of the bars on the 1st gens too!!! Once years ago, when adjusting a set I got to fooling around and twisted one side way up on the grip bar adjust and way out on the riser - rode it to a party like that.. Had all my buddys believing I had gotten in a bad accident on the way to the party - they all bought my drinks for medicinal purposes... Next morning, after sobering up, they were not happy when I showed em what I had done. Fools made me buy for a month after that.. With these 1st Gens getting older and older I know I am going to end up with a 2nd Gen like you did (well not exactly - be pretty hard to find another one done up like yours:clap2:) BUT I too am gonna miss these awesome adjustable bars...

Gotta ask,, is the "Pillow Top" the stock seat of a 2nd Gen RSV? If not, what is and what kinda ride does it give?
