An interesting note.. When I was in Germany back in the early 80's the rule of thumb on the autobaun was, if your in the left lane and get rear ended its automatically your fault, get chur butt out the way!!! In Michigan its always been the other way around, you hit someone in the back end you get the ticket, gotta watch where your going... I have used Rotella 15/40 for years.. Do you guys remember an oil back in the late 70's that was purple in color,, I think it was called "Mystic" or something like that.. I use to buy that stuff in 5 gallon buckets from Quality Farm and FLeet.. Was always amazed at the body (viscosity..) of that stuff even after 4k miles in my 1970 351 Mach 1 Mouse... Stuff was amazing.. Wonder if its still around anywhere..

Take it back guys,, after closer examination of the pics, I noticed the front head on the right side appears to have major damage - looks like it took a bad blow in an accident and is cased!! Yep Randy,,, parts bike.......

I was thinkin the same thing Unc!!! If it doesnt say sunkist on it you dont know whats inside!!! If it were closer I would be all over that puppy,,, it'd be worth the gamble of a couple hundred bucks to find out!!! Make it go, ride er for a few years till it really is wore out, find another $200 dollar bike and do it again,,,,,,, story of my life!!!

Gorgeous, just plain GORGEOUS!! I'd put my sleeping bag next to that on Sturgis Mainstreet ANY TIME!!!! I never personally cared for "fake" pipe tips BUT if they were true 4/4 pipes all the way back - OH YEA!! Next I would have "MY LADY" airbrushed on the tank, I'd than get er a personalized plate with her name on it.... Her and I would become inseparable!! :cool10: That is one sharp bike!!

Been busy around here getting ready for spring but still tossing em up for our Skidder!!!

Never really noticed the Prius syndrome myself, around here its kids on mopeds with no real drivers licenses. 14 years old and Michigan law force em into the roadway (ticket time if you get caught on the shoulder) so all of a sudden a 55 zone becomes 25 mph traffic.. Talk about dangerous!! Speaking about being invisible, I drove semi's for a while (still got my "A" License) and can tell you guys, even a 40 ton rig is invisible out there!! Scares the living heck right out of ya when cagers/bikers/pedestrians/cops/ambulances/firetrucks/mopeds/bicycles/squirrels/rabbits/deer and even shopping carts come out of nowhere and cut ya off...

Excellent post Cheeda!! Just last year we had a local biker hit a pot hole on the entrance ramp onto the highway, caused him to lose control, slid out into traffic, cost him his life - WATCH THOSE POT HOLES FOLKS!!!!! We are still frozen solid around here in West Michigan, with a solid 3 feet of snow/ice and temps going back down close to zero again.. All of us with basements are very concerned with the flooding season coming up and not even really thinking about the pot hole mess yet, but it IS coming.. Indeed, it is gonna be a mess around here this spring!!! Those asphalt patch guys are gonna have there hands full for sure!!!!! Last year we also had several roads in the area that were so bad with potholes that the local road commission ground em up and put em back to gravel ..

Only spell it backwards Coffey,, annetna... :rotf: Probably got a some dirty carbs from sitting,, freshen that baby up and that puppy will come alive!!!!!

So name it "Annetna" and see if it runs better...

BEAUTIFUL RIG RICK!!!!!! CONGRATS!! A couple years ago we took our Spectra in for a tank strap recall and got looking at what KIA was up to in new stuff.. I have always said that, IMHO, every car on the road should be Turbo Charged (cheapest, easiest and most fuel efficient HP increase). While at the shop I happen to notice that KIA was taking very serious thought about that idea, they had several stock models that were using turbo technology!! I told the wife, FINALLY someone is taking a serious look at turbo charging for fuel effeciency!! Is yours Turboed??

For kicks and giggles, Tippy and I test rode a new Harley Trike last year.. One of the things that I noticed was how quickly it steered, especially at speeds over 50 mph. I can see where it would not be that difficult to over steer one after hitting a big pot hole or curb.. Totally a different "feeling" than a bike that requires totally different rider input too.. Both very tragic and sad accidents!! My heart goes out to all involved!! Puc
