For what its worth,, was in our local Auto Zone picking up some car parts, noticed they had a few spin on filters for bikes so I asked if they could get filters for all bikes.. Guy dug thru his vendors and found Fram filters for Tweeks,, my 83 XVZ12.. Ordered a couple, 5 bucks a piece shipped to my door (free ship). Got em today (ordered last Friday),, was pleasently surprised that they came with all the O-rings too - cool!! Part number CH6002 (Fram filter number).... Gotcher back.. Puc

My wife and daughter are fanatical about Jack Bower,, they have been on the edge of their seats for a long time waiting for 24 to start back up.. I dont watch a lot of TV myself, I am always covered in grease and stink like gas so Tippy dont let me sit down on the couch and watch much but if I did,, ya,, I could see getting hooked on watching Jack and Chloe save the world..... Of course,, everyone knows that Chuck Norris or Clint Eastwood can beat up Keifer Sutherland and its a good thing that Little Joe or Hoss Cartwright, Marshall Dillion, Sargent Saunders (Vic Morrow), The Rifleman (Chuck Connors) or even Granny Clampett arent still around cause they could too!!!!!

and I am out of printer paper,,,, hmmmm,, lets do this... Tippy would like the Baked Salmon,, could she please get it baked with a little lemon and herbs and done till it just starts to gets crispy on the edges. Please give her an extra tartar sauce bowl - one for dipping and one for spreading and extra lemon. For her vegetable she would like steamed brocolli with some butter on it and she would like a small amount of Soy Sauce with her Rice Pilaf.. She would also like Whole Wheat rolls if available.. Could she have a Diet Pepsi with her dinner please.. I would like the Sliced Prime Rib of Beef done to medium rare creeping closely into the rare, please include a bottle of steak sauce and extra garlic salt with my order, could I please get the roasted Red Potatoes, a small dish of butter and sour cream with them would be excellent. For my vegetable I would like steamed Brussel Sprouts in butter and a Sour Dough Roll or Whole Wheat one like Tippys, please include extra roll butter for each of us.. I would like a Mountain Dew to drink please. Still with me Lone Eagle Ok,,, I would like to order matching Grey Long Sleeve Shirts, 1 for Tippy and 1 for me.. Her size is Medium and mine is large.. Just yankin your chain bro:Laugh:,,,,,,,, I will get this form filled out and on its way PRONTO!! -
Larry, Tippy and I ride a Honda Helix ALOT when we are not on the Venture,, gets excellent MPG.. We bumped into the Terry Hershner (sp) out in Utah last year, he is from California and was crossing the country on an electric motorcycle.. Got talking with him and found out he was on his way to meet up with his friend - Craig Vetter of Vetter Fairings to head to a "who can get the most out of a gallon of fuel contest" in Ohio.. Terry said that Vetter had designed his streamlining kit for his electric bike.. When I mentioned how much I love my Helix for its MPG, he was telling me that Vetter competes on his Helix and, thru streamlining and some clutch work has gotten over the 150 MPG mark on it.. Said that those scooters like you mentioned, the CF250, were also very capable...

Must something in the water, or change in weather BigLenny,,, yesterday - I went to move a 1st Gen parts bike into the garage to steal some parts from, put the kickstand up, rolled it into the garage, got mentally side tracked, lean it down onto the kickstand and let go of it - forgot to put the stand down first... Found out quickly that they care whether it is my fault, the bikes fault or someone elses fault,,, they are still heavy!! Hope you guys are ok!! Puc -
Got a question for those of you who know 1st Gen electronics.. Guy asked me today about an issue that just started with his 84 Venture.. Said his Tach has started responding real slow,, wanted to know if he should replace/lube the tach cable.. I was telling him that the tach was actually electronic and that,,, if I recall,, I had read that a "slow movement tach" could indicate ecm problems... Got thinking on the way home that I should ask the pros on here about it NOW so if I gotta call him and eat some crow the crow doesnt have time to spoil before I have to eat it... What do think gang??? Thanks!! Puc

Well,, gonna go out on another limb here DJ,, just for you... Go ahead and whip me if ya need to guys but I gotta say it... I would reconsider Shinko's... Been there, price was right, tires looked great and I thought I would try em.. Bought the correct sizes, as close to weight carrying capacity to my E2's as I could get, mounted/balanced em up, loaded up the bike and Tippy and I headed for the Dragon.. Going south on the highway out of Johnson City TN, 104 degree day, hot tarmac, Tweeks all of sudden let me know she her shoe came off.. Got her landed ok.. Back tire flatter than a pan cake. Got her ripped down, up on center stand spun the back tire and heard a noise inside the tire.. Guy stopped to help, rolled the back wheel and said "you got drivetrain problems", said no I dont - what ever punctured my tire is still inside it.. He took me back to "Jims" (GREAT FOLKS) in Johnson City.. Told the mechanic I wanted what ever was inside the tire rattling around for a keep sake.. Below are a couple of pics of what went thru the brand new Shinko - I keep this piece in my maintenance department bag just to show folks.. Notice that there really are no pointed edges on the piece, not like a nail or a screw or something.. The guy at Jim's agreed with me when I commented that something like that should have never punctured the tire.. He said that Shinko's dont have the carcass strength of the most other brands... Personally,, l wouldnt run em again unless I had to.. Just my opinion..... Puc

1 dollar is a small amount, a tiny price to pay. When you think of all those St. Judes kids, suffering on this day. A dollar from every member, what a great idea Lewis! Everyone I know could do that, from the oldest to the newest.. A dollar or 10 dimes, would make no difference really. Such a simple thing to figure out, it almost sounds kinda silly.. A dollar up here in Michigan, is 10 pop cans at its best. Their laying in a ditch out there, I KNOW I could do the rest. A dollar buys a donut here, which my doctor says dont eat. Why I could give it to those Children, for an extra special treat! A dollar buys a water bottle, now that kinda makes one think.. Your not really giving a dollar, just a glass of water to drink.. A dollar bill is hiding, over here and over there. Waiting for me to find it, so with those children I can share!!!
