  2. and if this keeps up imagine what the 1st Gens will be worth Dale.. We may have some folks on here sitting on MILLIONS and not even know it!!
  3. Thanks Hell Yea! The info on this site never ceases to amaze me!!
  4. Rallys are all different, kinda like the roads that lead to them.. I believe they become that way because they tend to be a reflection of the folks who dump their hearts into making them become a reality, again just like the highways that we ride.. If you live to seize the moment like I do you know that getting the chance to get the inside scoop on the special people who do this work aint always easy and when it appears ya better seize the moment As Tip and I pulled into Lake Guntersville Motorsports (GREAT FOLKS - HOSTED THE RALLY!!) to thank them for all their hard work, we bumped into one of the people of whom the greatness of the 2014 International Rally reflects.. Thanks BrakePad for taking the time out of your very busy schedule and granting me the opportunity to seize the moment!! Your ol buddy,, Puc
  5. Thanks again for the info Monty!! THAT IS AWESOME!! Puc
  6. Barry, both Tip and I REALLY enjoyed seeing you again too! What a treat to get to meet your brother on your old bike as well! Someday we want to shoot down to florida and actually go have a little ride time with the two of you! OR, get you two up to michigan and get out of the heat. BEEEEUUUTIFUL new bike you have there my friend! Take really good care of her, give her a name, watch your maintenance and I think the miles of fun you will have from that sweetheart are almost endless! Congrats Cuda! PS, tell Son I said the SAMEgoes for his! Who ever let that one go must have been on a Wing buzz or something:rotf: Tip says hi to both you fellers! Love ya, s puc
  7. Will do sgn! We just drove thru the town, past a great big dam and even in the dark it looked pretty cool! The other end of town smelledfunny,, like a paper mill? Anyway, will see what time we are up and around.. trying to get to the coast and off it before the storm hits... thanks! Puc
  8. And,,, so far that little pea brainer did us pretty good! We made it to Kingsport Tennessee in some of the bestest riding weather down here we have ever seen!
  9. Indeed Larry, we had sooooo much fun listening to all the tales! It was an honor meeting all those folks. We pulled out about 2.30 today to try and catch the east coast before this hurricane thing hits,,, been a goal to finish our summer touring having done both coasts.. having that group of folks down there to be at least able to stop and say hi to was fantastic! Some really great people we have here on VR. What a summer! Puc
  10. Ya,, I know,, its another flaw in my charector DragonSlayer.. I have actually gotten better thru the years though. When the kids were little and toured with me, we played this little coin toss game,,, tail = left,,, Heads = right and spent many many miles finding all kinds of cool adventures by letting the coin decide.. at least now in my grown up days I have succumbed to using something WITH a brain :rotf: ,,,, well,,, sometimes.. Tip an I still do the coin toss too! probably not wise and certainly NOT for most people but ya know what,, I find it to be a LOT of fun!
  11. Getting closer to the coast,, made it safely to kingsport tennessee... hoping to beat out this storm everyones yakking about... might have to go all the way to Manhatten to do so
  12. Hmmmm,, maybe I am wrong here,, its totally posible.. seems like I said "are you YammerDan" and you said "I am not YammerDan" and you pointed at some other guy and he pointed at someone and they pointed at someone.. If I am wrong in my recollect I need to know so I can remove a quote from my signature...
  13. Before heading toward the east coast from the International Rally we stopped for breakfast. Tippy picked up the local paper and was reading it an noticed this article (c pics). Later we stopped at the Gunterville Yam shop, a GREAT place to do business with as they are SUPER peoplewho also hosted part of the rally. When there I FINALLY got a chance to yap with BrakePad, he was sitting in the parking lot on his new wing.. After a GREAT video interview with him (cant post from tab but will as soon as I can mike), I mentioned that I had taken some shots of the article in the paper about VR, the folks who had attended the Rally and a welcome to them.. After reading it he felt it would be a good idea to put it on the board.. BrakePad, it was a PLEASURE meeting you and hearing about your bike! Thanks again to you, Karen and ALL the other people involved in setting the Rally up and making it a great event! What a great opportunity for us To put faces with names and meet all the great celebrities that the article refers too! Also, Tweeks wanted me to thank you again for adorning her with the patch honoring our friend GUNBOAT. I was honored by your thoughtfulness and REALLY appreciate the gesture.. Heres the article Mike, mission accomplished! Puc
  14. After an amazing nights sleep with my head 6 feet from the waters edge at GORGEOUS Guntersvillie State Park I felt my hand itch.. Tip and I had been talking about whether to stay and have dinner tonight with all of our friends or to hit the road and take a shot at finalizing our N-S-E-W tour hopes for the season.. Been hearing allthe chatter of bad east coast weather in the makings and the weather here in the south is PERFECT for touring and hate to miss it cause of a hurricane.. The debate of ride now or have dinner with the group was a tough one.. While debating during a morning tooth brushing contest, this AMAZING Terradactel looking stork of a bird lands on a log about 20 feet from us..We look at each other, Tip whispers, get the camera outof the pouch.. I did an got awesome pics! I told her,, lets let the bird decide our debate,, you walk toward it and what ever way it flys we go... Sadly, cause means happy trails to our good friends at the International, the bird flew North East.. This actually kinda surprising cause he was he was facing right toward the lodge where the dinner is taking place while sitting on the log,, so much for stacking the deck eay.. It was wonderful seeing our very good friends from the past and making some very good friends with folkswe always wanted to meet. You folks are true treasures of the trail and we love each of you. Looking forward to the day our paths cross again! Ride safe! Puc n Tip
  15. Indeed Donna, this weather has been SPECTACULER and being able to enjoy this SPECTACULER area on our bike during the cool down is a blessing! We have also met soooo many great folks down here, both VR and local. What a friendly, positive and enjoyable community to have spent time with. Please warn those of who you speak that WE'LL BE BACK (speakin for Tweeks, Tip and Myself) Puc

  19. Got an offer on our home in the subdivision where we were at and couldnt refuse. Had really great neighbors and hated to move.. Tip loves the lake shore and I do too. Found a beautiful spot about a block away from our old place. Man I really cant stand all the loading and packingthat goes with moving but with Tips help it went great. Took about 4 minutes to pack and move here. Now we are laying in our new home with our heads about 5 feet from waves lapping on the shore,, mnap time..... new address is .ooo12 primitve way, gooners,, I mean, guntersville alabama. NICE, REAL NICE
  20. Had fun last night, we campground dwellers gathered and yapped for hours.. wayyyy late. Lots and lots of great trail tales! Got offered some homemade wine, passed cause I dont drink any more but smelled good. Watched some folks try it. Half hour later I noticed the same group pointing skyward into the night sky. After looking upward and seeing nothing nothing but stars I had to ask.... Comment was made that someone up there was pointing at us.. my eyesight is bad so i couldnt see who it was.. Someone from our group had an attempted bike theft this morning, caught the perp in action.. (c pic). Came back from shower, no place to hang wet towel. Noticed guy next door had awening on his tent. He and wife went on the museum ride and were gone. Worked perfect! They are very nice people and he seems non violent so all should work out. Tippy says hi to all! More later
