Sorry to hear about your misfortune DJ, like already mentioned, THANKFULLY you caught it quickly and avoided having a flat!! I KNOW we all just had this discussion about plugging/patching tires on our bikes and most folks have no problem running repaired tires (I do) but I gotta say,, if that puppy is actually cut 3/4 of an inch I would replace it.. Thats a LOT of hole my friend!! IMHO of course... Regardless of all that,, HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TRIP TO THE KEYS!!! Puc

Thanks for the update Steve!! As with any "burn" victim, I gotta imagine the regaining of skin loss is gonna take some time and probably be easy access for germs and infection.. I just lost a very close to friend of mine to some weird flesh eating bacteria that started with some,,, less than stellar care of a skin loss situation.. PLEASE handle your recovery carefully and avoid infection at all cost!! Also, please know you have my thoughts and prayers during the process!! Crazy stuff this biking is,, scary to think a loose fender could cause something so severe.. THANKS for the reminder my friend!! Hope your Kauai trip goes great in spite of all this! Puc

I personally dont care what you guys or girls buy and ride, drive, fly, push or pull.. As long as you are willing to write about it and post some pics to include us in your excellent adventures,,, ol Puc is a happy camper!!:cool10::stirthepot:

EXACTLY my thoughts Dan!!!! Prayers Up, Blessings Down!! THANKS FOR THE UPDATE = GREAT NEWS SKIDDER!!! -
Funny you mention the filter thought Sys, I actually checked all kinds of things like that all over the house and garage a number of times in the last couple months.. It became obvious that it was my sniffer when Tip and I were down by the lake walking the pier and I could still "smell" those odors.. DEFINITELY not riding much till I get some answers. Around the home area is about it.. Shame too cause Tweek has a new back tire on her that we were really wanting to burn off before winter... Still no word on the C-Scan Fool.. Gotta hunch there are some Doctors at the hospital staring at the results saying something like,,, aint NEVER seen a skull so full of crazy memories, none of it makes sense :rotf: Awe,,, THANKS Bongo! Count on it brother!! I can say this,, it sure is nice being off the Anti-Biotics.. That stuff was nasty... Hope it killed what ever it was suppose to so it was worth the nauseau..

Everything has its reason,, maybe by waiting on those slow mechanic fellers you will miss all the rain for your trip home!! Have a safe and fun trip sonshine!! Tippy says hi and says she wishes we were following you thru all that gorgeous country you get to ride thru.. If you happen to have a way of posting some pics up we would both LOVE to see some.. CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE YOUR NEW BABY! Hope her and Genesis hit it off right from the get go!! By the way, where ya having your tires changed and any idea what route your taking back?

Well I gotta say - THANK YOU to all who assisted with this one!! I did most, if not all of your suggestions and got things down to just a few small ads popping up and I couldnt stop Firefox from opening with some weird ad page when it first opened.. Than friesman came along with the above suggestion,, worked thru it and now, even the small stuff is GONE!!! For anyone who may be following this thread.. On the version of Firefox I am using , I found the help menu by clicking on the far right to icon just under the "X" (as instructed by Brian), it is the icon that has 3 bars on it. Than I found out that the "help" button is located at the bottom right on the screen that pops up and that icon has a "?" on it - this version does not actually say "help". Clicked on the "?" and sure enough, there was a troubleshooting icon (just click on "troubleshooting" in the list).. Another window pops up with a "reset firefox" icon.. Clicked on that and BINGO!!! OUTSTANDING:clap2: Brian, I want you to know I didnt type that out meaning to sound unthankful or to be a smarty pants. I only did so thinking there may be someone out there with a skull almost as thick as mine who has been having some difficulties like I was having, was following this thread, found your post and was having a hard time finding the reset. Thanks to you, and all the rest of you folks, for keeping me going on here (now ya'll know how to get rid of me)!! Puc

Randy,, are the bad spots something thats been building up for years or something as a result of this past bad winter? I know around here they are still trying to catch up with the devastation of the harsh winter and wet spring with both roads and houses...
-

YOU BETCHA BOB, WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU FOLKS!! Our wedding anniversary (34 great years) is the 12th, the 10th sounds good here!! THANKS TO ALL FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT, THOUGHTS and PRAYERS!! Some really strange stuff,, I smell hot fiberglass,, really strange:sick: Puc

For the last month or so I have been noticing some strange smells,, really weird.. Then I started noticing an inability to concentrate and focus on stuff.. Tippy says she has been seeing it in me too, just not my normal abnormal self.. Strange stuff,, things that I would do out of habit like opening the refrigerator when I intended to open the freezer, opening the rear door on the car instead of the front door to get something out of the glove box, reaching for a light switch on the wrong side of a doorway.. Lots of fatigue.. Went to the doctor last week, did some tests and put me on some anti-biotic called Zithromax for a bacterial infection.. Pretty nasty stuff to the tummy.. Got another C-scan scheduled for Tuesday... I know getting older is suppose to include xtra doctoring time but this is ridiculous! Would appreciate any and all thoughts, prayers as we work through this stuff!! Thanks gang!! Puc

I think Joe should volunteer to finish cutting Eck's grass for that heartless comment,,,,,,, after all,, EVERYONE knows that John Deer equipment is indestructable!!! WOW Eck, that is terrible!! Wishing you a complete and full recovery from your injuries!! Thankfully you didnt have a leaf sucker trailer with a load of leafs on it behind you to finish you off!! Cant imagine something 7x the horsepower of Morh... They stuck me on morphine for a while after some back injuries, I remember laying in my hospital bed after surgery and watching these little soccer players playing soccer where some plants were suppose to be setting... Kinda funny till the stuff wore off:whistling: Careful with those pain meds my friend,, they are real easy to get hooked on!!
-

I have no clue what the heck ya got going on Mike but gotta say,,, the way your describing what your hearing it sounds like a recording of a VR Rally while camping in a tent near a bunch of pranksters from out west,,, or down south,, or up north,, or out east:rotf: Hope someone can help ya!!
-
Really wish we could have made this one BUT, as Buddy mentioned, photo's and stories are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than nothing - THANK YOU Monty for including us in the great adventure!!! LOVE THE PICS!! Lots of friends I would have loved to see again, LOTS of unfamiliar folks to meet in the future!

Wow,, I really really had screwed things up this time but am glad to be on the right track again - THANKS BIGTOM!! So, just to make sure I am all squared away with my understandings here,, BigTom is married to Taters, RockinRobin is a therapist helping Taters husband out with attitude adjustment techniques, BigTom wears MuffinMan's extra underpants while there are at least 100 members here on VR missing their's, there was a big sale on perfume that some of our wives missed, BigTom and Taters have a mailman who refuses to do his job...
