  2. Thats great Fool,, glad to hear the news!! Tell those doctors to quit fooling around now and fix your fall damages. Once it gets below freezing and your adrenal gland starts getting a work out from the joys of covering Michigan with White Wash, finding your heartbeat will be a piece of cake!!!

  9. Exactly Motiv,, you are touching on a nerve that I am trying to verbalize.... Gonna go out a little farther on the limb here,,,, the idea that this geezer and his midlife crisis can tarnish OUR "reputation" kinda smacks of what I think is called Collectivism (think thats the word I am looking for) or something... Little chimes inside of me go off when I read articles like this,, call it old fashion or weird or whatever but I still believe in "personal responsibility" - as applied to my actions, my attitudes, what I consume in food and drink, what I think is cool, how I ride, where I ride, what bike I ride and on and on... In the end,, I - me - cowpuc, am responsible for all of those (and more) and, also in the end, my reputation is the result of what I have done with those personal responsibilities... Maybe I am all wet but,,, it seems like oppression, the loss of personal freedoms and the loss of personal identity seem to be the usual result of the final end to what I am talking about with this "Group" reputation thingy.. Ironically, motorcycling,, to me, has ALWAYS represented the epitome of personal freedom and personal identity and within biking there is room for everyone to be cool in their own way...

Sorry to hear about your fall Jeff but REALLY glad to hear they may have found something that has the potential of being even worse than the fall results,,, our thoughts and prayers are with ya thru it all bro!! Want you to know,,, I knew something was coming!! Read the Almanac a while back,, said another hard winter,,, than the local weather man comes on TV13 - says he dont agree with the Almanac - said he see's some funny stuff going on with the "Jeff Stream",, says much easier than last year BUT,, now get this,,, he also said he reserved the right to change his forcast cause the "Jeff Stream" might go back to normal by January.... The thought entered my mind that either your machine or you must not be feeling well.. Want you to know I had my that it was the machine and sorry to hear that in reality it was you... Listen to those Doctors, and have a speedy and full recovery. I promise if you do I will harass you even if you are unable to send any Wisconsin White Wash this year at all,, thats what friends are for!!! Your friend Puc
  12. Hmmmm,,, I struggle with this letter in many ways.. How do I put this into words... An example of just one of my personal thoughts...... I dont think any "group" has the right to establish "the cool factor" as something they own (or are the host of) ,,, for some reason the thought of this just doesnt set well with my feelings about an old saying I love and covet - We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. This overweight, balding biker guy who's kids are all grown up - that this person calls a parasite - may very well have been providing for his family all those years.. Maybe he worked his tail off putting braces on his kids teeth and food on the table and couldnt afford a bike.. Now he has saved his cash,, is only physically able to ride his high dollar 100 inch bike a few miles a week, and finds HAPPINESS for the time being in doing so.. Who cares if he sells the bike in 3 years and buys a Durango,,, its his money - he earned it,, spending it that way may be his way of pursuing happiness.. I know,, I am weird,, but I am me...

So,,, did riding at 42 degrees make you think about finding a way to get some heat from the pipes to warm your legs up:whistling: :rotf::rotf: Cant see where you need any of my assistance in your video capabilities BUT,,, if we ever bump into each other I would gladly run beside you and get a good vid of you and your bike in action!!!

  17. Good one Pete!! Felt like I was on the bike, I actually noticed his cut down shield and caught his choke being left on long before he mentioned em:detective:. Real pretty bike!!! I still think he happens to be riding the best touring bike ever made - nothing fancy, run like a scalded dog, amazing comfort, rip the twisties and do em for ever!!

  19. Should have an air pressure stamp in the sidewall.. Seems like 42 PSI rings a bell when I had em on my 1st Gen..
  20. Very observant Coff... Its funny you bring this up,, Tip sat on that Gen 2 at the shop and made the comment that she felt "wobbly" and "unstable" compared to ol Tweeks,, making her wonder about off roading like that.. Lets see if we are all thinking similar here..... Is this kinda where you are going in your thoughts = having the trunk/tent and Tip sitting so high above my waste line would sure make for some strange center of gravity dynamics,,, also having forward controls so I cant stand up would make it even worse? On another note, I think a Gen 2 with a side hack would be fun and solve some issues but,,, limiting on the snake trailing and she wont ride in one anyway.. We have tried one and she said every time she climbed in she could here the Hogans Heros theme playing in her ears and picture KlinK in the side car rolling free of the bike ..

  22. Oh man Sarge,, I am sorry to hear about your being sick, hoping and praying it is over with and is nothing contagious!! Especially being around those kids of yours!!!! Prayers Up Sonshine!! Thank you for getting back with me about the seat and for your time in checking it out. Certainly doesnt look real promising does it,, that Gen 2 frame/rear fender placement appears almost designed like a chopper frame - lowww slung... Hmmmm,,,, back to the drawing board I reckon..
  23. Hmmmm,, I think thats an old medical device called a separator.. It was used by Doctors years ago on male patients when the patient and his wife had a full quiver and wanted to stop arrow production.. The device's main purpose was to assist the doctor in making sure his snipping was accurate.. I have also heard rumors that one of the reasons Doctors stopped using this particular instrument was due to sterile ice shortages in some areas and that new separators were invented that required less than 1/2 of the original amount of recovery ice.. Thusly moving mankind out of the Ice Age and into modern days..

I can tell ya one thing,, that being sick business aint NO fun - still dealing with some of the same things myself, this waiting on doctors to figure out what the heck is going on is frustrating! DragonSlayer,,, glad to hear you are back on your feet and CONGRATS on the quitting smoking!!
  25. Cleaning bathroom sink drains is a pain,, Prayers Up FAR better than cursing at the drains..
