atta boy Lewis,,, show em how its done!!!! I ended up sending my St. Judes donation down to B2'Moms with another VR member last spring cause of a flooded basement so I totally had to miss the onsite auction fun and had to settle for just the fun of bidding on Dragonslayers "Thread Slayer Kingship" thread ... Now I am dealing with a flooded sinus cavity and the financial side of it has got Tip and I  . We gotta long ways to go in this one Lewis so I really cant speak to committing to anything at this time, BUT, we shall see!!

Hey Ang, I am now running Mich Commander 2 on the rear with a Conti-Tour on the front of my 83.. Not sure if you can find the sizes necessary for your 2nd Gen in the Continental but I gotta tell ya,,, for running in the western heat - that combo seems to work awesome and wear fantastic!!
-
on the meeting up for a ride down the mountain!! Yea - your right,, thats it.. It is 89a that runs kinda parallel with Ick-17 (not 15) - actually those "ick-spress" ways out there are awesome riding so pay no attention to my cantankerous sarcastic remarks:backinmyday:... THAT 89a is a gorgeous ride,,, not sure now with all the fires you guys had out there but used to be lots of elk and wild life and GORGEOUS scenery..

Why do feel like Flyingfool is talking about snow "flakes" not "snow flakes" in this quote...
-
WHY did Huggy just remind da Fool to swivel those nozzles toward NY and WHY does Michigan have to be caught in the cross fire when da Fool responds:bang head::bang head::bang head::bang head::bang head::bang head::bang head:

Oh my goodness Ang,,, Tip and I LOVE Jerome!! I have been hanging my tires on the Jerome Mountain for years and finally got a chance to ride it with Tippy last summer.. Sadly, that valley ride leading to Jerome just south of Flag (had to take the ick-spress almost to the cut across to Sedona) was closed due to fires (I assume) last summer when we were there,, anyone coming from the Flag area to enjoy Jerome should be sure and ride it if they have time!! Do you know the ride to which I refer? I tend to "chase the front wheel" (as YammerDan would say) and dont do maps/GPS's so road names are a blur... Seems like that valley ride starts just a few miles out of flag on west side of that ick-spress way,,, maybe "15" ?? Its a hair pin fun filled ride right thru some gorgeous ponderosa pine, rock faced cliff areas with TONS of emergency tent tossing spots... Anyway, here are a few shots of the Jerome area,,, I have a video of our "coast" (I LOVE coasting down mountains, farthest so far is Kings Canyon = 26 miles) out of Jerome that I hope to post up in this winters ride reports.... THANKS ANGELO for and breaking some early cabin fever here!! You really got me torqued up buddy!!! Puc PS Angelo,, being the Az that you are, I did some and stuck a trick pic in there just for you.. Can ya identify it?

As many of you know, my Dad passed away a couple weeks ago.. Thank you again for all the condolences!! Anyway,, being a person of the pen, putting my emotional feelings into the written word always seems to help me somehow. I thought I would share another piece of my heart with anyone out there that might be interested in reading it. I am not sure who or how this may affect someone else that has been thru this horrible grieving process but, posting it helps me and I somehow hope it affects someone else in a positive way... Love your parents if they are still around, be thankful for the time you had with them if they have passed on.. Puc I am proud to have been your "sidekick" as folks on your Linen route would say, and to follow in your footsteps whether working or at play. Footsteps thru the Deer woods set forever in my mind, a .300 Savage for my Father and his sidekick not far behind.. The day you gave to me a puppy - "Doc" loved your footsteps too, a day off school to go chase pheasants - just me and Doc and you.. That '59 Sears Moped that we loaded in your Linen Van, those footsteps walked beside it as your sidekick became a man.. Fruitport Schools didn't like me - they had me on the floor, but they told a different story when your footsteps left the door.. When Cheryl and I got married and you welcomed her as your own, those footsteps ran to greet new life with Grand Kids near your throne. Charley Brown with Billy The Kid, little Bucky and Becky came along, They each learned to treasure your footsteps and sing your Birthday song. You taught us all to live and love with the time here that you had, and follow your footsteps to Heavens gate to be there with you Dad.

Why wasnt this thread part of Don's "opps I deleted the wrong thing"...
-
Well yea Lewis,, only cause there are some people who are HOGGIN em all and keepin em all to their selves....
-
I vote for DragonRider as VR Ambassador to the outside world,,, he's almost as good at hooking (selling new folks onto a Venture) and booking (booking them here at VR) as he is at telling (us about the St. Judes Kids) and selling (us on donating to that great cause)... Gotta love dat guy!!! So,, friend of Lewis's from "N' Orlins",,, hows bout I just call ya "Caddyrider" till ya pic a name,,,,,, Hey,, Caddyrider,,,, come join the fun and dont be shy,,, any friend of Lewis's is a friend of ours!! Puc

Love all the stories and LOVE the pic Larry!!! Sure seems like a guy could have a LOT of fun (and maybe get into some trouble too) being surrounded by all those valves and pipes... Thanks to each of you for your service in maintaining our freedoms - you are all appreciated!!!
-
You did a good job there Fool,,, from everything I am hearing - if ya dont shut the dern thing off pretty soon your gonna have to unbury the deer up there before you can shoot em:rotf: Hunting tactics are gonna be a little different,, instead of waiting for the deer to come to you, now you just snowmobile thru the woods until ya find the size of horns you want sticking up out of the snow ,, wrap your drag rope around em, pull em out with the sled, shoot em in da head and finish draggin em in... Gonna be lots easier on the late season bow hunters too... The same tree stands 20' off the ground they had to climb up into are now accessable directly from the car door!!!
-
Hmmmmm,,, ya sure ya wanna do that JD?? That Fool does all this weather manipulation in his spare time just to around here, Lord only knows what kind of disasters we would face if he was doing it full time:shock3:!!! ... I think I would be more inclined to support a petition to harass him more just to keep his devious mind busy and keep his fingers on the keyboard and away from that Wisconsin White Wash Machine!!!
-
Once again,, you folks are AWESOME!! For some reason, the "THANK YOU" icon on my screen has disappeared so now I gotta say THANK YOU to each of you like this: THANK YOU!!!!! I will keep ya'll posted as this madness progresses,,, looks like its gonna be a pretty enlightening winter to say the least!! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and "solutions"! Puc

Hmmmm,, everybody laughed last year when I was petitioning for regulations on that machine the Fool invented... Oh yea,,, everybody thought ol Puc was just being kinda cranky and just not able to get along with his neighbor... As I beat off the nay sayers I concluded that I was probably dealing with a bunch of toe nails who had obviously not grown up with people like FlyingFool,, and for sure had never had an extended dose of cabin fever... What they didnt realize was that I have lived around people like Flyingfool most of my life.. People who hide out in back alleys,, ride noisy motorcycles and concoct devices in their devious basements that aren't necessarily deadly BUT are certainly capable of falling into the category of being a menace to mankind.. As a child I was forced to pick Blue Berries to buy my own school clothes.. To help survive that ordeal, I would often join in "song" with other slaves being held for the same purpose.. We would sing songs about a guy named Bill Grogan and his goat eating clothes off a clothes line, a hat with three corners and stuff like that.. One day this particular inmate taught me a song about a person who, in memory,, reminds me a LOT of FlyingFool.. The song was about this other devious basement inventor named "Johnny Rebeck".. The only real difference between Johnny and the Fool was Johnny used the machine he invented to take people's cat and dogs and make sausages out of em.. If you have never heard this song and bump into me at a Rally,, just ask and I will sing it for you (or,, for your sanity,, you would probably be better off googling it) - its pretty enlightening if your seeking to understand the psychology of folks like the Fool.. And,, on another note of pure Puc wisdom,,, Fool,, you too might wanna take a listen to that song about Johnny too,, as I recall the "sausage machine" got the best of Johnny in the end and there wasnt even any mention in that song of Jet Fuel being any where near Johnny's machine,,,,,,,,,...
-
Oopp,, oopp,, ya had er dialed in there pretty close for while Fool,, had to run in to the Doctor for some more stuff and it was nigh on a blizzard going in.. Didnt last long though, about 3 inches worth,, something obviously slipped on the machine again... Maybe you forgot to tighten the jam nuts on the leg adjustments after you tweeked on the nozzles... Wait minute,, wait minute,, wait just one minute here,, what in the wild world of sports is going on out there,, sitting here typing this message and White Wash cranked up hard enough I cant hardly see out the window,,,, holy cow poly,, ATTA BOY FOOL - let er buck,,,,,,,, oh my gosh - paybacks are a ...............

Mr. Shuttlebug,,, WOW!!!! That puppy took one heck of impact to toss that frame like that,, SOOO GLAD YOU ARE OK!! I know you guys covered a LOT of miles with that GORGEOUS bike/trailer combo this last summer - it was soooo much fun camping with the two of you at the LooseMoose campground in Oregon.. I certainly hope that you work thru the injuries and are blessed with another bike - would love to do it all again someday!! Prayers Up as you proceed thru it all!

WOW,, sorry I missed this,,, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES!! Thanks to ALL you folks for being there for FREEDOMS SAKE!!!
-
Take it from someone who knows Hugger,,, ya oughta think about having your brain checked for fluid leaks cause that aint normal!!!!
-
Awe,, come on you guys,, lets give that poor Fool a break,, he probably just forgot to adjust the nozzles on his machine from "wide spray" to "spot spray" and ended up covering North America instead of his usual torment of just west Michigan... Hey Fly-intheointment-fool,, ,,, ya might wanna double check your nozzles and other aiming devices there my good friend,,, some of these elbows sound a little cranky with that last slip up :stirthepot: Oh,, by the way,,, it looks like the shot your taking at me this week,, you know,, the one that is suppose to over spray all the way down to Atlanta,,, is going to just scrape us a little on its way thru.. Dumping a foot or more south of us but only an inch or so for my house --- nahhhhh nahhh deeeeee booooo boooo:stickinouttounge:
-
Keep it up there ya hog rider and we will have to rename the new VR - O.O.P.S.ORG for Oberlin Ohio's Partial System:big-grin-emoticon: Doing great Don - thanks again for your hard work!!
-
Or,,, we could combine these two posts and put this another way,, hmmmmm,, lets see here... "Great weather for making snow and getting it to stick" could = "Stick it to THE FOOL for making snow and this great weather" "I know we frown on trailers here, but ya know....putting your scoot on a trailer and coming south for a week or so is always an option for those who love snowblowers. U Haul rents..." = "we frown on snowblowers so we haul snowblowers on trailers to THE FOOL who loves snowblowers and we scoot south" "Stick it to THE FOOL for making snow and this great weather, we frown on snowblowers so we haul snowblowers on trailers to THE FOOL who loves snowblowers and we scoot south" Let this forever stand as an example of how a person can twist someones words to make a point and remain totally innocent in the process doing so,,, "Just saying"... :cool10:

Another quick thought for doing it on the cheap,,, start the bike up, let it warm for a couple minutes, put some spit on the tip of your finger - touch each pipe one at time with your damp finger (like checking a hot iron), make sure all 4 header pipes sizzle at touch (see if its even running on 4 at idle) - these engines are kinda sneaky, if your not use to em that can be running on three and an unfamiliar ear may not even notice it... Draggin a dead cylinder will certainly eat fuel and, could certainly show up on a vacuum gauge.. If ya got a dead one, do like VideoAZ mentioned, at least pull the plug on the dead jug and see if the plug is fouled... These little "D" plugs dont take to kindly to blackening from overfueling/choking..
