  1. Doing a little better Chaplin - THANK YOU again for the prayers and for continuing to pray for us!! Still dealing with Doctors (pretty much on a weekly basis) but God is good. Hoping for some time in the future to be able to get out there and be included in those GORGEOUS pics you seem to be so good at taking!!!! BEEEAAUUTIFUL JOB CHAPLAIN!!!!!
  2. Road rage is crazy stuff,, I bumped into this vid a while ago - a perfect example of a biker handling a situation that could have turned out very differently for the enraged cager who assaulted both the biker and his girl.. Its so amazing to watch the enraged person deflate after the guy explains to him that its all on tape.. This biker shows an amazing amount of restraint..
  3. :lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb: Maybe you two Wisconsinites could put your head's together and come up with a way to skip all the :cold: and the :snow: for this winter and make up for the lost ride time yet this year.
  4. I like the way you think Goose!! Thank you for not being one of those smart alec "you really need a trailer" varmints and for not suggesting I mount that crate on the front under the ol boys headlight!
  5. NICE,,, very very NICE!! :clap2::dancefool: Congrats JF on both the find and the job well done on sorting things out with the brakes:thumbsup:.. Kinda does look like she may need a front tire (sounds like your the kinda gear head that already knew that - thought I would toss it out there anyway) before ya ride her to far, these puppy's are sorta spooky to ride if a tire goes PFFFFFFF..
  6. Riding Crud to Auto-Zone to get parts..
  7. Congrats JP on the new scoot and welcome to VR! Sounds like your getting a dandy there my friend. While my experiences with the Venture is limited to the 1st Gen's - I can tell you that the mighty V-4 Yam is a durable, exciting and fun power plant. Hope you find many hours of fine touring on that 2nd Gen and you find the same with hanging out around here - great bunch of varmints!! Speaking about your purchase, if you haven't completed the deal yet I might suggest that you negotiate your 90 day warranty to not start until next riding season so you are not limited to the winter months to "test" the bikes integrity. All the best to you and your wife as you get back into the best sport on the planet!!! Puc
  8. Good on ya Eck, hope you folks have a blast down there!! P.S. - please dont forget ,s for us geezers that simply cant live with out em:big-grin-emoticon:
  9. Prayers Up for both you and Mike as you work through all this Kat. You two will be in our thoughts and prayers as you work thru it. Glad to hear that your taking your time and getting as much info on it all as you can. Hopefully you do connect with someone who can be supportive with the ins/outs of that type of surgery.
  10. OUTSTANDING BROTHER!! :clap2::dancefool: Glad to see you folks are enjoying the scoot Dusty and that your wife is right there with you - what a blessing my friend:thumbsup2: Those pics are GORGEOUS - thank you for including us on your ride:thumbsup: your ol brother Puc:big-grin-emoticon:
  11. AWESOME DAVE - CONGRATS TO YOU MY BROTHER!!:clap2::dancefool: May your retirement days be filled with good health and fun times doing the things you always wanted to do!
  12. Yep, she was a dandy Yammer. And then there was the Victory... Those bikes keep falling off your line like walleye escaping from my fishin pole brother! Good thing ya got Silver almost ready to roll!
  13. Shoot Kan,, me and Tippy would even be happy riding two up on a rented Moped if we had the chance to make that ride!! I would even come back on here with a full ride report and 's of us doing so!!
  14. Not fun GW that's for sure, got the Prayers Up for ya brother! IMHO and from some personal experience, Sciatic pain shooting down the legs that lasts more than a few days is nothing to fool with.. Get in to see a really good Neuro Surgeon and let him/her advise you in what direction to take. In your line of work (and THANK YOU for doing what you do GW) having your back go out when on a rescue mission would not be a good situation..
  15. Hey Steamer,, :Happy Birthday:!! Hope you and that Rockin Robin wife or yours have a GREAT day of celebration!!
  16. Exactly!! That and set of these = http://www.ebay.com/itm/Progressive-Suspension-Fork-Spring-Kit-for-Yamaha-Venture-Royale-1983-1993-/331672716171?hash=item4d393c038b&vxp=mtr No air required after installing the Progressives, run 1/2 to 3/4 inch of preload on those springs and the bottom days are history!!
  17. That is fantastic Doug! Good on ya for seizing the day and grabbing a scoot to do that ride my friend!! You and I think a LOT alike - when the opportunity presents itself you best grab it and go cause ya never know - may be a one time shot!! Actually, I think 125 bucks for half a day of getting to pull off a ride in HAWAII :scared:is very fair!! I'd have been all over that deal like your ol Dad on a free place to camp
  18. A HUGE THANK YOU to Venturerider.org's one and only, Mr. @Eck for posting up the thread letting us all know that yesterday was our nation's official National Ride Your Motorcycle Day. Thanks Eck, Tip and I GREATLY appreciate it!! Even though it was a day early for Tips official Birthday party, I started her party early by fulfilling one of her Birthday wishes of taking her up north to look for Salmon. Taking a saying from one of my favorite TV Shows of all times, The A-Team - a quick view of these vids will explain why I too can speak it - "I love it when a plan comes together".. :Happy Birthday::group cheers: And then there's today,, look what we woke up to!! Our neighbors got together and joined in the celebration BIG TIME!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIPPY - WHAT A BLESSING TO BE ABLE TO SHARE ALL THESE YEARS WITH A BEST FRIEND LIKE YOU!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART! LOVE YOU BABY! Puc
  19. Oh, by the way,, THANK YOU for sharing the pic - it is PERFECT!!
  20. HOW COOL IS THAT DOUG:scared:,, WOW ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WOW WOW WOW SONSHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got to do the HOLY GRAIL Son! You are the first of my friends that I know of that has gotten to ride THE ISLAND!!:dancefool::clap2: So, how much to rent a scoot, are there lots of places to rent from there? Guess they dont have to much to worry about as far you riding away and heading home with their bike PLUS, you kinda look like a tourist (snicker snicker) and not your typical 1%er biker dude so they probably gave ya a discount rate . Glad you folks got a chance to do Hawaii Doug, sure looks like a TON of fun brother - wayyyy cool!!
  21. Hey Craig, CONGRATS ON THE NEW SCOOT!! I had a gut feeling that one of our family would end up with that one,, SHE IS GORGEOUS!:clap2::dancefool: Cannot WAIT to see smiling faces and hi-way 's,, lots and lots of 's, of you out enjoying her!! All the best on your trip to pick her up and your future enjoying the trike! Puc
  22. Dear Eckster, Tip and I want to THANK YOU for posting this up!! We have been spending time at my daughters celebrating Tips Birthday and JUST caught your message when we got home!! More to come in the form of some short vids but until those are finished, here are some pics of our day today --- ALL BECAUSE OF YOU MY FRIEND!! :clap2::clap2:
  23. 24. Oh yea,,,, I can vouch for @Flyinfool on that one.. Matter of fact,, it is rumored that the Fool had Eskimo's for parents, was raised in an Igloo, took first place with his pet Penguins in 4-H, had a best friend named Abominable Snowman in high school, prefers his coffee in the form of a slushy, takes his friend "Frosty" with him to Maintenance Days, has no idea what is meant by "brain freeze" when eating ice cream and got so bored with something called a "mild winter" that we supposedly had a while back that he figured out a way to insure that will never happen again. Personally I even think that lop eared varmint was THE missing element in the equation Algore used as a basis for his movie about the global warming we were all rooting for but we aint allowed to talk politics so I cant really go there,, even though there probably is some truth to it
