    1. No 2. The more area up front to capture cross winds, the more tiring it is on the shoulders and arms when fighting crosswinds all day. 3. Absolutely 4. As Zag was saying, trim to needed heights - its not always possible to trim down to a good 1 up riding height and still get adequate turbulence coverage for the passenger. Nice thing about fairings is the wider stance and ability to have a higher windshield does seem to create a bigger air pocket for the passenger. 5. Doubtful - see number 4 6. I still LOVE the old school look of just a windshield.. Stop by a Harley shop and ask them what their best seller is, Street Glide with the Bat Wing. Talking JUST LOOKS HERE - NOTHING ELSE BEING CONSIDERED = I would stay with just a windshield cause there are fewer of them, would not wanna appear like I am trying to be a copy cat Harley wanna be gangster,, plus,, I really do LOVE the looks of just a windshield.. In the end Bill,, it'll look cool either way
  5. Sounds like our Yammer is getting back to his old self

Please pass on our well wishing and Congratulations to both the Bride and Groom too Or.. Prayers Up and Blessings Down as your daughter and her Husband share in one of God's greatest Blessings - may their lives be filled with the oneness and fulfillment that can only come from sharing life together with their best friend!! Puc n Tip P.S. - best protect those flowers from Moe brother,, something tells me that rascal would chew thru a barbed wire fence to nibble on a fresh cut Rose or two:sign your welcome:
  7. OUTSTANDING Middy!! THAT is one gorgeous scoot my friend - certainly has the looks of a solid canyon carver thats for sure!! Cant wait to see some pics of it doing exactly that:178: CONGRATS my friend!
  8. Brother you NAILED it with that one!! Kinda like trying to catch a shadow sometimes, spent the better part of yesterday with my wife in the ER - she is having a hard time with her breathing - no real answers and have to proceed to a Pulminary doctor this coming week. More Doctors and more tests. Seems like between the two of us we are spending way to much time (and ) just trying to figure out what in the wild world of sports is going on.. In your case, having gone thru 5 back surgery's myself, I highly recommend getting a good Neuro Surgeon involved. I had shattered Facet Joints that no other Doctors seem to be able to see - even though they had taken MRI's and Cat Scan's. After going thru all kinds of Message and Physical Therapy, cortizone shots, dealing with our local Pain Clinic and taking tons of Pain Killers (those nasty Vicodin and Norco can sure make it hard to go pooo pooo) I finally landed in the hands of a competent Neuro Surgeon who, after shaking his head in disappointment that I hadnt gotten to him first (made the comment about how fortunate I was that one of those tiny bone fragments didnt do irrepairable damage to the nerve bundle during prior therapy ), found the source of my severe pain after a short review of my MRI's. In the end I was:think: as to why on earth I didnt begin the process with the Neuro Surgeon in the first place. Hind sight being 20/20 and all that, had I of known then what I know now I would have certainly done exactly that:whistling: Something to consider GW. Prayers Up my friend! Puc
  9. Right there with ya Bongo. IMHO, it seems like I was blessed with the ability to dodge problems - looking back I remember saying "wow,, that was close" a lot thru the years. Now adays it seems like my dodging abilities are vanishing and I have to adjust my life to avoid problems and the exhilaration of getting to say "wow that was close" has almost vanished too. That little window of time to respond to crisis seems to have gotten very narrow. Sort of a big mind game with me,, used to be I could jump on the bike - rip er up to 100, great big ole on my face.. Now even before I twist the grip I have visions of flat tires, dogs running in front of me, kids on cell phones pulling out front of me, cops hiding behind trees running radar.. Almost like I caught the Yammer Dan disease or something,, you know the disease I am talking about? Its the one that causes you to spend all your time looking around a restaurant for yourself when someone asks if your you:big-grin-emoticon: I keep thinking maybe it's the changing to yet another phase of life that makes it suck but still not sure... If anyone figures it out PLEASE let us know.
  10. Doing a little better Chaplin - THANK YOU again for the prayers and for continuing to pray for us!! Still dealing with Doctors (pretty much on a weekly basis) but God is good. Hoping for some time in the future to be able to get out there and be included in those GORGEOUS pics you seem to be so good at taking!!!! BEEEAAUUTIFUL JOB CHAPLAIN!!!!!
  11. Road rage is crazy stuff,, I bumped into this vid a while ago - a perfect example of a biker handling a situation that could have turned out very differently for the enraged cager who assaulted both the biker and his girl.. Its so amazing to watch the enraged person deflate after the guy explains to him that its all on tape.. This biker shows an amazing amount of restraint..
  12. :lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb::lightbulb: Maybe you two Wisconsinites could put your head's together and come up with a way to skip all the :cold: and the :snow: for this winter and make up for the lost ride time yet this year.
  13. I like the way you think Goose!! Thank you for not being one of those smart alec "you really need a trailer" varmints and for not suggesting I mount that crate on the front under the ol boys headlight!
  14. NICE,,, very very NICE!! :clap2::dancefool: Congrats JF on both the find and the job well done on sorting things out with the brakes:thumbsup:.. Kinda does look like she may need a front tire (sounds like your the kinda gear head that already knew that - thought I would toss it out there anyway) before ya ride her to far, these puppy's are sorta spooky to ride if a tire goes PFFFFFFF..
  15. Riding Crud to Auto-Zone to get parts..
  16. Congrats JP on the new scoot and welcome to VR! Sounds like your getting a dandy there my friend. While my experiences with the Venture is limited to the 1st Gen's - I can tell you that the mighty V-4 Yam is a durable, exciting and fun power plant. Hope you find many hours of fine touring on that 2nd Gen and you find the same with hanging out around here - great bunch of varmints!! Speaking about your purchase, if you haven't completed the deal yet I might suggest that you negotiate your 90 day warranty to not start until next riding season so you are not limited to the winter months to "test" the bikes integrity. All the best to you and your wife as you get back into the best sport on the planet!!! Puc
  17. Good on ya Eck, hope you folks have a blast down there!! P.S. - please dont forget ,s for us geezers that simply cant live with out em:big-grin-emoticon:
  18. Prayers Up for both you and Mike as you work through all this Kat. You two will be in our thoughts and prayers as you work thru it. Glad to hear that your taking your time and getting as much info on it all as you can. Hopefully you do connect with someone who can be supportive with the ins/outs of that type of surgery.
  19. OUTSTANDING BROTHER!! :clap2::dancefool: Glad to see you folks are enjoying the scoot Dusty and that your wife is right there with you - what a blessing my friend:thumbsup2: Those pics are GORGEOUS - thank you for including us on your ride:thumbsup: your ol brother Puc:big-grin-emoticon:
  20. AWESOME DAVE - CONGRATS TO YOU MY BROTHER!!:clap2::dancefool: May your retirement days be filled with good health and fun times doing the things you always wanted to do!
  21. Yep, she was a dandy Yammer. And then there was the Victory... Those bikes keep falling off your line like walleye escaping from my fishin pole brother! Good thing ya got Silver almost ready to roll!
  22. Shoot Kan,, me and Tippy would even be happy riding two up on a rented Moped if we had the chance to make that ride!! I would even come back on here with a full ride report and 's of us doing so!!
  23. Not fun GW that's for sure, got the Prayers Up for ya brother! IMHO and from some personal experience, Sciatic pain shooting down the legs that lasts more than a few days is nothing to fool with.. Get in to see a really good Neuro Surgeon and let him/her advise you in what direction to take. In your line of work (and THANK YOU for doing what you do GW) having your back go out when on a rescue mission would not be a good situation..
  24. Hey Steamer,, :Happy Birthday:!! Hope you and that Rockin Robin wife or yours have a GREAT day of celebration!!
