  1. Sounds like an AWESOME New Years Resolution to me Boomer, glad to hear from you again!! Dont know much about Pygmies but was wondering if they shovel snow? Maybe send a group of em to FlyingFool if they do!!
  2. COOL!!!!!! :clap2::clap2: Like Skyster already mentioned, it would great to see some specs on it and I wonder what kind of price range it is gonna fall into. Be AWESOME if it were comparable to the Vette or a Stealth in performance at 1/2 the money - suckers would sell like hot cakes!! Polaris did it with their Slingshot (price difference between it and the T-Rex and Morgan), maybe,, just maybe Yamaha is doing that with their Sports car!! Shame to not see a new Venture but at least Yamaha is showing they aint dead in the water with innovation!
  3. Careful,, yee be walkin on mighty thin ice there partner!!
  4. Told ya @CMCOFFEY!!! I KNEW that iron buttin @VentureFar would be when he read that foot note of yours!! Tip and I cant wait, riding that area on a moonlit night is like riding on the surface of the moon or something,, maybe this time we will even get to see some UFO's !! If nothing else, we can stop out in the middle of nowhere (anywhere inside of Death Valley National Park), listen to the coyotes howl and I can tell you guys some spooky stories like the one I heard about some pioneers who tried to cross the Valley in a wagon and ended up getting sick cause they bought some bad Hot Dogs from some Apache Indians out there!!!
  5. It was the Detective with an envelope in his hand. He handed the envelope to Freebird and Eileen and told him that he was glad to see the Bird finally coming to his senses and wearing a shirt that proved it was so. Thousands of faithful V-4 riders and even a number of Harley, Wing, Spyder, Slingshot and other bike riders broke out in a cheer that could be heard for many miles and gathered around the lovely couple as they opened the envelope to find the two round trip tickets to Paris still intact!! With a his tummy filled with Banana Nut ice cream, sporting the beautiful shirt with a Blue 1st Gen Yamaha Venture boldly printed on the front of it that Eileen had given him, the Bird felt Free again. He held out his right arm to his lovely wife. She grinned from ear to ear as they stepped inside their new Avalanche and headed for
  6. just not up to par like the motorcycle now displayed on the Birds chest was. While people were gathering around to admire the new shirt, Eileen felt a tap on her right shoulder. There stood

  9. INDEED,, back Doug!! Know what cha mean about family issues and all that,, VERY glad you got it all sorta out and are back on, what sounds to be a great scoot and hope your 2016 riding year is filled with some AWESOME ride time!! Notice what @Flyinfool wrote about your pics? While on patrol I noticed the parking meter on your pic parking was about to run out.. Its all ok though, as a welcome back gift from the VR I went ahead and tossed in some change to give you some more time.. Looking forward to any pics you wanna share my friend!!
  10. :think:Suspicious,,,, possibly.. Quiet,,,, NEVER!! Having spent HOURS hacking away at the latest piles of concrete like White Wash stuff myself here in Michigan and finding not even 1 Hot Dog in there,, I am DEFINITELY suspicious of there being any Hot Dogs in your White Wash either Fool!!
  11.,,, gonna have to have a longggg talk with Freebird about the 2016 budget needs concerning the VR force.. By the sounds of all this, I may have to hire a couple more for 2016 :big-grin-emoticon:
  12. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO MY PAL, TO MY PAL,,, HAPPY TO NEW TO MY PAL,, MY PAL CARBON ONE!!!!:dancefool::dancefool::dancefool: And to his wife Joyce,,, and to ALL the rest of our lop eared varmint VR friends too!!
  13. OUCH ,, those suckers almost explode when that happens!! Seriously Lar, glad neither of you were injured through it all, kind of a pain in the neck to have to do the clean up but thank God your both ok!!
  14. Being from the Lakeshore in West Michigan we never really had much demand for Nadoe Cellar's.. Years ago we did go thru an era where everyone was putting in Bomb shelters in case the Russians nuked us though. Buddies dad dug one out, even had some kind of an air filter on the vent tube to keep the fall out from falling in. It was pretty elaborate and a really fun place to play when his dad wasn't lookin. The Russians never did bomb us so his dad decided to use it to store his home made Dandy Lion Wine. Pretty amazing cause this was later in life and Gary (my buddy) and I had grown into teenagers by the time his dad started using the Bomb Shelter for storing his hooch - the strange thing is that it seems like Gary and I spent more time in that old Bomb shelter hiding out from the Ruskies when we were teenagers than we did as little kids.. Guess you could say we found a way to get bombed without the help of the Russians!!
  15. Well that sure sounds like a LOT of work just cause you wanted to go for a ride in the V-Dub Lar.. The old "Its easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission" still works for me brother but hey,, mans gotta do what a mans gotta do and I can see where I would get all geeked out if I owned a cute little convertible Herbie like yours too - I would probably forget the golden rule at least once.. Thanks for sharing the story, THAT was amazing!! I would score it at a 9,, shame you didnt think to grab a camera in the middle of all the commotion and snap us a picture or two of all the action!! THAT would have made it a PERFECT 10! :scratchchin:Ok,, lets change it to a 9.5,, after all,, you DID protect your scoot!!:clap2:
  16. and said, "wow Birdster,, that Eileen sure has good taste! Try that shirt on and lets see how it fits Bird".. Freebird slid the Yamaha shirt on over his Hardley shirt and instantly felt
  17. :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: Good grief do I LOVE this place :cool10: That Raggy,, he sure do come up with GREASTEST idea's!! You should do it Jeff,, call the Sheriff and tell em to send ya a couple of gangsters who can shovel and sing. Then when they get there hand em each a shovel and then teach em this little song that we used to sing when I was a kid picking Blueberries.. :lightbulb:Might not be a bad idea to learn it first yourself,,, you could even replace the inventor's name with your own,, "oh mister FlyinFool how could ya be so mean, I told ya you'ld be sorry for inventing that machine"...
  18. even just wearing his Hardley shirt had slowed him down to the point that he was unable to beat Big Tom to the ice cream table. Eileen smiled, uncuffed Freebirds wrist and gave him a different shirt to put on over the top of his Hardley shirt just in case Big Tom decided to make another move toward the ice cream. This shirt had a picture of a Blue
  19. ***** I noticed there are over 4000 people reading this thread, I have no idea what happened to Dan, hopefully he is ok cause he is a friend of mine, but out of respect for the masses, I will continue the story and just fill in what I think Dan would write if he were here, hopefully his absence is not to long cause it gives me a headache every time I try to think like he does ***** threw her hands in the air, screamed "my sweetheart, where did you go and how did you get that ice cream all over your arms". The Bird swallowed the last bite of Banana Nut ice cream he had in his mouth and started telling his wife how owning a Hardley had almost cost him his daily supply of ice cream because
  20. Yep,, thats the one!! It also has no glass covering the little half a needle it has left so its real easy to use, you just stick your finger in the little hole where the glass use to be, point the needle where ever you wanna go and your all set.. Its really pretty fancy, it even has a little button on its side that I call the " daily explore feature". The way that works is you move the needle to point where you want to go, push the explore button - this locks the needle down so it cant move. The you can go the whole day without ever looking at the compass again cause the needle cant move and get you lost. Only bad thing about this feature is you MUST remember to reset it first thing in the morning cause of the way the earth rotates and moves a little on its axis every night ( thinkin bad bearings on our planets axis axle), I KNOW from experience that if you dont reset it you WILL walk/ride in a circle...
  21. Might check your local News Paper in the help wanted classifieds Jeff. Besides the local regular paper we have a small, free, classifieds only paper here called The Buyers Guide that also always has ads of people looking for work. Keep an eye out for "Handy Man Ads" - usually those guys will do about anything. Our Community College also use to have a huge "Jobs" board (dont know if they still do that - was really big back when I went there), if you have a school nearby you might give a jingle to their Career Resources Dept and see if they have such a thing. Another good one might be a local Church in the area, just call em - tell em your circumstances and see if they have a Youth program looking for some cash for some summer outings.
  22. BUT,, cha gotta admit,, that was just one little bump in road of Hot Doggin it Dave :dancefool: Best be gettin that gorgeous Big Mac ready cause 2016 looks like an even BIGGER Hot Dog chomping, tato' chip munchin, Puc n Tippy following summer than even last year.. I even found my old deer hunting compass the other day, the one that has gotten me lost in the woods many many times, and will now be carrying it so we can get even more fun miles under our belts trying to find those Dogs in '16!!
  23. OUTSTANDING KIWI - glad it all worked out and your getting some miles of smiles out of that sweetheart!!:dancefool: I know EXACTLY what you mean about these AMAZING bikes and the mind blowing freedom brother - just fantabulous aint it!! Wish I was there with ya Kiwi,, toss a leg, twist a throttle, ride out the day, drop a tent, eat a Hot Dog, get up with sun up and start all over again :dancefool::dancefool:YEEEEEEHAWWWWWW Lets see if I can help you out with the picture loading thing here now.. My bet is your issue is with the pics being to big,, have seen it over and over again. Might try resizing a pic just for a test.. I use MS "Paint" to do so - its really easy and have never had a problem loading pics (and I have loaded my fair share of em ) after getting them under the size limit for the site. Here is link explaining that http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?109624-Just-discovered-something-picture-resizing-made-easy/page2&highlight=paint+resizing another one that if you scroll down you will find some video's that explain how easy it is to use.. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?114318-What-did-you-get-for-Christmas/page4&highlight=paint+resizing and then another by Freebird,, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?92599-Resizing-Pictures and finally (actually should have started with this ) a step by step of how to by Freebird http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?92609-How-to-add-a-picture-to-a-post If you still cant quite get it, just let me know and between the two of us we WILL get those pics posted - even if ya have to e-mail to me and have me post em for ya 's are our friends
  24. So THATS what was in that little jar on your shelf marked "Ready Mix"? I thought it meant it was ready to add into the mix for the Snoper.. I only added a teaspoon of the stuff into your vat hat - guess I shouldn't fool around with Fool's concoctions.. Know what cha mean about SOLID brother, first try with the Green Machine - went to pull out of the garage with it and the stuff stopped me like I had ran into a wall!! Came back inside, turned on the Roku movie.. Thankfully I didnt add to much of the stuff cause it didnt set up properly and got blowable when the Kanuck door blew shut again and it warmed up a little.. NOW I AM READY FOR YA AGAIN!!!!!
