  2. when their bouncing up and down in the waves and this ol sticker covered 1st Gen Venture keeps poking ya in the side wanting ya to get er off the ship. The strange looking customs guards with the Hammer n Sickle emblems on their shoulders stared at the scoot with its Hot Dog stained covers and tent hanging off its back end and
  3. Heyyyy,, no joke brother,, them gators was in there just a snappin and a growlin - good thing Tweeks is quick ol girl or they'd a had us!! I would LOVE to go back down there and find the trail we rode that I was telling you and Bobbi about (only if you two would go with us) - really a strange area that made me think of this song the whole time we were trying to find our way out!!
  4. Driveway nothing Cha,, that Santee Softride Honda with the 18 over springer and 21 inch spooly (top pic) needed a 5 acre field to turn her around Tell ya what though,, it took some doings to get her trail spot on so she didnt flop but after I nailed it I hung on to it (cause it had shocks on its backside) and rode it to Sturgis from Michigan a number of times. Can honestly say - a finer riding Hi-way bike I have never ridden!! Talk about stable and SMOOTH!! Get that Springer rockin on her rockers and flexin on the tubes - lock the throttle - lean back on the bag and just let er roll,,, just beautiful!! Riding a good long bike is a acquired taste that takes a little time to develop but once you acquire it that "feeling" never goes away.
  5. Never took you as the Sporty type DanL, I thought for sure it would have been ol "Gun Runner" (pic above Loner).. He didn't have the 10 over Grasshopper (rode like a BOARD) like I hung on Loner but he was a cantankerous ol Panhead ..
  6. Get that thang away from me Raggy,, it gives me the creeps ,,,,,:scratchchin:,, but does all that fancy shmancy lawyer talk mean you will or wont be able to help Tip, Tweeks and I find our way out of the swamps down there this year Oh,, I almost forgot that "?" thingy
  7. Trouble:witch_brew:
  8. INDEED,, PRAYERS UP AND BLESSING DOWN MY FRIEND!! Tip and I are right here for you with our thoughts and prayers too Jonesy!!
  9. @Chaharly - Yep, good place to start,, never hurts to pull the diaphrams, check em real close and make sure the slides are moving freely in the throats too, check sync - out of sync will cause it too Cha!! Also might wanna do plugs (they usually gap outwardly over time, wide gap will suck fuel big time). Make sure she has a clean airfilter.. Lets see here,, put her up on the center stand after ya ride it a little, spin the wheels and make sure you dont have a brake dragging when ya stop.. Spin the wheel, rap on the side of the calipers with a rubber mallet and spin it again - check front and back.. Surprising how much a little brake drag will rob fuel.. Depending on mileage,, these things LOVE to oblong the meter rod orvices.. Lost mpg on Tweeks couple years ago and was just not handling fuel right,, moved the meter rods down (have to do it with nylon washers - they dont have "E" clips on meter rods like most do) to lean it out so she ran right again. Got my performance back and fuel eco by dropping meter rods .032.. LOTS easier than rebuilding carbs and she is still going strong many miles afterwards.. Hope this helps!! Puc
  10. ROCK N ROLL!!:dancefool::clap2::clap2::big-grin-emoticon:
  11. Hey Dan,, what about a "leather bra" ( dont know what else to call it) to cover the fairing? I have seen those,, pretty cool.. Probably wayyy expensive but might be worth yakking with Nanci about??
  12. Any fluid missing in the clutch res Cha? Definitely possible to be brake fluid from either the clutch slave or the brake line leading up to brake linking but a leak in any of those should be noticeable by missing fluid in a res.. I have had leaky clutch slaves that have leaked both externally and internally.. Dont take much to make a funny odor if you get that stuff on the exhaust.. My 1st Gens all seem to pee a little Anti Freeze when getting real cold,, you sure its not anti-freeze?
  13. Click on chat and read the top of the page if ya wanna see something COOL:178:,, GREAT JOB @Freebird!! :lightbulb:Make a really cool Sticker or Shirt Emblem or something,,,, really neat brother!!
  14. It was "Dah,,, never mind" and its right at the top of this page brother:think: You still ok to come find us and lead Tip, Tweeks and I out of the willy weeds down yonder this summer or do we needa be looking for another varmint to follow
  15. FINALLY :cool10::cool10::dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::clap2::clap2: I have waited and waited for this for YEARS and it FINALLY happened! I can not tell you how many times, over and over and over, I have had to defend myself against throngs of people calling me all kinds of silly names for being to hard on @Flyinfool - telling me that my "teasing" him about having a machine that actually produces snow is just way out of line because "no one can do that" in real life:8:.. BUT NOW I HAVE PROOF that The Wisconsin White Washer and Snopercharger are REAL!!!! :happy65: @Trader,, dont know if that was what the original question of this thread was gonna be (Is the Wisconsin White Washer real?) but if it was,, you now have the answer. I thank you for subtly asking the question and using proper Venureallistic-psychology to pry the answer from Fool's ice cold, snow covered, fingers! YOU da man TRADER!!
  16. I have found that smart alecically type people tend to also be pretty smart and they usually do have the right answer - especially when asked obscure questions like the one that Trader made in his first post in this thread.. (deep breath) I therefore would really like to hear all about the smart alec answer that you had formulated Sir Joe
  17. WHAT A SWEETIE PIE!!!!:clap2::dancefool::thumbsup: She's got that "life is soooo much fun when ya got your Grandpa wrapped around your little finger" look :dancefool: "and after we're done sliding Grandpa we can finish putting my doll house together then we should go to McDonald's for a Happy Meal,, we can even stop at the video store and rent Lassie to watch as we sip our Hot Chocolate".. Just PRECIOUS my friend!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:
  18. Now that's more like it,, the added info gives us something to work with.. I am thinking carb diaphrams and a dose of Seafoam will fix ya right up!!
  19. Pretty cool really,, I like it!! Listening to the pitch in the Auto Show vid Mr. Elio mentions it being an attempt at helping with our North American oil consumption needs.. The engine vid show's it being a naturally aspirated, 3 cylinder, 2 valve head, throttle body injected motor - kinda thinking 84 mpg might be quite a stretch but THAT would be awesome if they could actually accomplish it.. Regardless,, gotta give em credit,, if they pull this off it will certainly add to our choice in motorcycling and THAT is ALWAYS a good thing!! Hope it all works out:fingers-crossed-emo
  20. something that sounded like "pardon me Comerade', is it ok if I camp over there behind that
  21. Ohhh definitely,,,
  22. the guy who was wearing the green clothes and dancing on his knees had heard that the great USA Bird took finding Hot Dog's and Ice Cream VERY seriously! While Eileen and the Bird were passing thru custom's they noticed
  23. But the clock, she be a tickin!!! Yessirrreeeee,, time is on our side brotherss!!
  24. :dancefool:Now THAT is what I am talking about:thumbsup:!! :lightbulb:The Lord works in mysterious ways, even using a 15 cent fuse to bring about a great conversation between two of his own! Glad you found it Goose!!
