INDEED,, GOOD ON YA PAUL!!!

I know EXACTLY how ya feel Rand! When Tip and I visited the Hand Surgeon last week (was one of those 2 degree windchill days) and he told me he would fit me in this week to do my right hand that I could almost sense warm weather coming. Was one of Murphy's Law inspirational moments,, you know what I am talking about.. Tip says "stop being so pessimistic",, to which I replied "that aint pessimism sweetheart - it's a fact of life, besides, I am PROUD to be able to do that for the younger generation who actually have the energy to get out and enjoy it"..

Know what would be a RIOT Drews,, talk my staff into stuffin us a couple dozen of those Dogs, find us a perfect spot to camp , on the Multi million acre chunk of land that we own up there (State/Federal Land), toss up a quick White Birch fire, snap off a couple of Sassy Frass twigs to use for Doggy sticks and see if we can't come up with a whole new flavor to add to those rascals:big-grin-emoticon: Be GREAT if we could draw in a good 50/50 mix of Canadian/US attenders - them Canadians that made it out last year were a LOT of fun,,, so were the Michiganders - what a BLAST!!

Pasties (not provided by my staff though),, could get really interesting!! If it all fly's like last year Cha, your work schedule is PERFECT!! Mid week opportunities should be plentiful this year, I am hoping to have several of the outings throughout the 2016 ride season and 99 percent of them will be weekday events (cant afford to pay the overtime).. Come out of the land where Corn grows and into the land where Hot Dogs bloom my friend - you'll never regret it:happy34:

Actually Cha they have been weekday events, my staff people really like to have their weekends off (and I am not much for paying over-time).. I did catch a fair amount of smack talk about that last year though,, people like @ragtop69gs (Raggy) kept beatin me up cause I didn't have one for the working people (I still question Raggy's real love for Hot Dogs though cause there were others who attended that were working people) so, if things go well and it all fly's again this year we may do a weekend dogger.. Will know more as we get closer to May..

I know it's early but I just sent off an email to my staff to see how they are fairing thru the winter.. Trying to make sure they are still on for another great year of rounding up Hot Dogs for us.. As soon as I have a response I will let everyone know one way or the other.. Also, if the response to my recent email to my staff comes back as a positive one (meaning all things are a go for this years outings:fingers-crossed-emo) I am planning on sending out some very special "Grand Prizes" to all of you who attended one of last years "Pucs Greet - Meet and Eat Meats". By the way Reiny,, was it seat and bike width that caused issues with your hips on the Wing? Never rode one, sure LOVE the motor and looks!! They do seem to appear a little wider in backbone stance, is that where you ran into problems? I LOVE the color of your RSV better than the black Honda though,,, REALLY REALLY purdy - IMHO...

I know Polaris was having a hard time with their Vic sales (possibly due to not honoring warranties on first years scoots) but I thought the Indian line was a really good seller? Strong enough that they have been able to stand shoulder to shoulder with HD pricing on comparable scoots.. Am I misreading something here Bill?

Hopefully you crank the old girl up once in a while to keep er rolling:fingers-crossed-emo - (just did an edit here,, you already covered this one WITH = SHE RUNS LIKE A TOP! - I am such a dorkwad sometimes - DUHHHH) One of the crazy things about those V-4 Suzi's is that they only made em for a short time and parts can be hard to come by - NOTHING LIKE OUR 1st Gen Yammers.. A real shame too because they were really fun scoots (as you well know).. I think the V-Max really hurt their sales (and the Honda V-65 too) cause it seems like once the Max came out it was all down hill for Honda and Suzuki.. Ya know what, I almost went Suzuki Cavalcade back in the late 80's before I jumped on the Yamaha scene.. That Cav was a 1400 and it was AWESOME too!! Wayyy cool bike and wayyy ahead of its time.. Never owned of them either but worked on a few of em.. They had a "plug" in the forward bevel shaft that came from the factory with a liken to fall out and cause forward bearing failure due to lube loss.. I repaired a few of em with a machined aluminum plug... Any idea if your big Mauddy has similar mod needs? Yep,, I know,, I KNOW too,, you REALLY do need to get some pics :big-grin-emoticon: WOULD LOVE TO SEE EM!!! I LOVED the 1200's my friend! Never ever did get to own one but THEY were awesome!! Not that much bigger than the 700 (wayyy cooler pipe design though - I LOVED the stock pipes on the 12) and baby did they BOOGY!!! One of the things that I always loved about Mauddy was her "chop" like design,,, again,, it was that era.. I know you know this but some folks who may stop in here might not,, that seat on Maud is BONE STOCK.. Look carefully and it sure does look like a King/Queen off a chopper dont it? While lacking in the rake and Springer (I love my springers) front end, she did have enough "chopper feel" that I could ride her all day long, 16 hour days, and never get tired.. GOOD RIDER!!
