You forgot to read the Official April Fool's Day rule book.. Page 31, paragraph 2: Any one who has been declared and certified as a fool OR has the term "fool" in their proper name shall not be eligible for April Fool's day coverage.. These special individuals shall, instead of participating in activities normally associated with April Fool's day, supply the world around them with only items that are true. These individuals will be required to do this for the 24 hours period during the day of April 1st each year and they shall be allowed to return to their normal antics of foolism after said 24 hour period..

Got to meet member VideoArizona today - Great Visit!
cowpuc replied to VanRiver's topic in Watering Hole
HEYYY ,,,, I want to be out there in that sunshine!! I kinda thought my tender little ears were ringing and were the other day,, just knew I was in some kind of trouble!! BEAUTIFUL PICS AND AWESOME TRAIL TALE THERE RIV!!! :clap2::dancefool: I absolutely LOVE when times like those happen my friend - it's what life is all about!! Congrats to you 3 for taking a second and getting together - way cool!! I think I got the names for each picture figured out, "I'm the bald guy" VanRiver on the left, pretty Pat in the middle and that sunshine loving VideoAZ on the right - a more likely bunch of good hearted VR lop eared varmints there has never been.. The question I have is who's MK2 is in the 1st pic? I learned my colors back in kindergarten and, if memory serves me correctly - that aint Blue:hurts:.. Is that AZZI or did you guys just happen to find a Venture parked in a parking lot somewhere and stop to have your pictures taken by it:hihi:? ,, kind of a novel idea - just drive around looking for cool bikes to take pictures of your friends next to .. Glad that varmint Dave was able to give you some fine tuning info on AZZI Riv - got my that by you two having the chance to bump your heads together AZZI comes out a fine running scoot!! A name for David's gorgeous Blue 1st Gen,,, ,,, hmmmmm,,,,, in the Lakota language "Blue Friend" is spelled To Cola - Tocola nick named to "Cole" would be awesome.. Everyone needs a true Blue friend like a Blue 1st Gen named Cole.. -
Back in the early days I used to love to go to the local American Legion turkey shoots - I also LOVED shooting dynamite there too. I had a Bull Barreled Remington 700 .22 - .250 back then that loved range work and it did a fine job. There was a large group of WW2 Vets who I got to know there, I could sit around after a day at the range and listen to those guys talk war story's for ever - really really interesting group of take no crap from nobody but give ya the shirt off their backs kind of folks - my hero's .. I started going regularly to gun shows with a couple of those guys - one named Bob (who's daughter I almost married) and I used to do a LOT of Gun Shows here in Michigan,, always dragging some kind of iron home.. Always carried a few purchase permits with me so I could tote home hand guns at will too - it's amazing how much simpler things in the "gun" world were back then. When the Chinese 7.62 x 39 SKS's were selling brand new at the show's for 80 bucks a pop and crates of that junk ammo could be snatched up for 65 bucks a crate I grabbed a couple of of them and a few cases of junk ammo just to go out and shoot cans, pine cones and make noise - about all the stuff was good for.. Later, after things started changing for the worse in our Nation's right to keep and bear arms and those junk SK's started getting scarce it seemed like everybody and their brother was looking for em.. I took my now wore out SK's with their pretty little 20 round mags I had replaced the 5 round mags they had came with and went to gun show - toted em around the gun show with a For Sale sign on stick that was stuck down the barrel.. Hadn't gone very far and a guy stopped me - pealed off my asking price in cash.. By that time Tippy had long since proven her love for Hunting and Shooting. She was never shy about deboning venison quarter panels while helping me process deer. Her and the kids all loved to shoot and hunt too.. While I was meandering thru the gun show after selling the SK's it dawned on me that I hadnt done nothing nice for Tip in a couple days.. While walking past a vendor table I noticed this little Coach gun staring at me.. I bent down, picked it up and started petting it across its twin chambers.. Kind of a cute little snake eyed critter.. While standing there listening to the little coach gun begging me to take it home with me and getting over it's shear rugged beauty I finally returned to thinking logically.. Tip was well trained with our hand guns and I always feared for any person who broke into our home because of it.. Not that I have ever had much use for bad guys but, quite frankly, that Lady of mine always had this nack for just pointing, shooting and hitting what she was looking at and I really never wanted to see someone, even a crook, get killed.. While I stood there glancing the light of the gun show auditorium against my thumbnail and glancing down the barrels to check for corrosion it occurred to me how ominous,, down right intimidating, looking down those twin 12 gauge barrels really was.. The thought then occurred to me that I could take 75 bucks of the 400 dollars the guy had given to me for the SK's, buy ol Snake Eyes, give Snake Eyes to Tippy as a gift to let her know how much I love her and maybe save some crooks life and send em scattering just by looking down the shipping end of ol snake eyes,, possibly even scare em enough that they would have second thoughts about sneaking into someones house ever again - win, win, win and win! Logic won out and here is proof!!

I will be sure and shake the parts off into the box they ship my parts in and save those hidden surprises and all the left over packing, air and the shipping box itself just for you @venturesome - we sure wouldn't want our friends in Bama to miss out on any future snowstorms,,, hope ya get my drift -
Aint that the truth brother!! Might not be a bad idea to double check the rear pumpkin too - some, if not most of those rear ends are vented so it might be possible to get water into that lube thru a vent..

Congrats to the whole Huggy clan:clap2::clap2::dancefool:!!! THAT is just awesome!! Now its time for Huggy to go Huggy shopping for that precious princess Harper brother! PS: +1 on what Eckster said about the pics!

Considering a different bike than my 2003 RSV 2nd gen
cowpuc replied to Cheesehead in flatland's topic in Watering Hole
Cheesy Rider,, gotta ask,, have you looked into bagging out your RSV by seeing if you could pick up docking hardware for the rear trunk so it could easily be removed (may be beating a dead horse here cause maybe the RSV comes OEM with removable trunk like the 1st Gen MK1 - just thinking I had heard this is not the case). Back before Tip started riding with me full time I baggerize my 1st Gen many times and it always amazed me how much lighter it felt when I did.. I also have 2 good buddies with HD Ultra's that we did that conversion to and WOW - did it make a difference.. Just a thought.. As far as a two up fun bike JUST for around town, Tip and I do a lot of playing around here locally on our little Honda Helix scooter.. Have you ever noticed that most of the desirable breeds of scoots have the passenger riding higher up in the saddle than the driver is.. I am sure it has to do with getting the driver down into the "V" of the frame and the passenger ends up riding up on top of the rear fender.. If you think about that (the passengers weight being carried above the central weight of the rider) it just doesnt seem like this would be a good position for optimal weight distribution/low speed balancing but it is "the look" that sells.. One of the reasons our little Helix is such a fun - in town - bike is because it is low slung and stretched in design so we are both sitting low in the saddle at about the same height.. Although the FJR style of scoot is not low slung like our little Helix it still has the advantage of seating you both at about the same level (which - ironically - is similar in design to a 1st Gen MK1 - more of a "Sport Tourer") which seems like it would have the same affect = easier to handle at low speeds when two up because you dont have the added weight of a passenger and trunk ABOVE your weight balance line where your fighting against it.. Add that to the fact that, as you mentioned, total weight is a lot less on that type of bike than on a full blown touring scoot.. Gotta remember something else in all this though,,, these great big beautiful Touring bikes that we have been riding do have a REAL advantage when it comes to going long distance brother.. I only make the suggestion of trying to bag out your RSV because it would probably be easier to do that than it would to turn a Sport tourer into a full blown touring bike should you decide to take a longggg distance ride with a passenger on the back.. -
Just cause I cant spin wrenches yet (just had hand surgery) doesnt mean I can't get ready for when I can.. My garden tractor needed new blades and a belt. Local supply place didnt have the parts. Best price online was Ebay at 38 bucks for the blades, 14 bucks for the belt.. Did a little digging and found this place: http://www.vbelts4less.com/ WOW what awesome prices - Blades were 8.50 each and belt was 8.60 and this was for American Made - top of the line stuff!! Called them and come to find out they are part of a company called "Belarus Tractor" and are located in Milwaukee Wisconsin - thats right - home of the famous Wisconsin White Washer and our good friend @Flyingfool!! Placed my order and will let you lop eared varmints know how it goes just in case any of you are needing lawn mower stuff!! Got chur back brothers!!

Yep,, THAT is AWESOME Larry - looks like a BLAST for sure!! Definitely both good looking machines - looked very rideable!! Did any one notice the guy doing the videoing pulling up next to the trike toward the end of the vid? Made me wonder about something,,, anyone know if its legal to ride side by side in the same lane when one of the bikes is a trike? Pretty sure most of the States that would be illegal if it involved a car and a motorcycle,, wonder if a 3 wheeler has a different rule if the 3 wheeler is classified as a motorcycle?

WOW ZZZZ WOW WOW WOW Eckster - nothing like a little Enduro riding on the Wing eh!! Good thing that guy in the truck wasn't a Michigan DNR guy or he probably would have asked you for your boater registration and checked your bike out to make sure you had life jackets on board.. Might not be a bad idea to check your scoots fluids for water contamination and make sure you didn't pick up a salmon in one of your saddle bags.
