What do mean just relax,,,,,,, becoming an Uncle Puc is a very stressful occasion.... Burrrrrother,,, its a good thing you Canucks got American friends like me who are OK and can help keeps things inline around here!! C above.. (look at that Carl,, just two little words:thumbsup:,, working on avoiding be to long winded,, not bad - eh?) -
Not trying to or nothing like that but I remember not to long ago that real hardcore bikers like us never even gave a thought about to much heat and all that stuff.. A few years ago it was actually kind of cool to be running around with a wet grease rag wrapped around our burned leg knowing full well that when the owy under the grease rag healed up we were gonna have a really cool alligator skin looking scab to show off. Speaking about trying to figure out the maturing process that each of us seem to be going thru:scared:,, my neighbor just stopped down and asked if I would be willing to lead a motorcycle tent camping expedition up into the UP of Michigan.. Said Tip and I could ride his 2012 Limited even though I didnt buy it from him , his wife could ride her new Tri-Glide and he would ride his new Sporty.. First time they ever showed interest in actually sleeping in a tent - I always thought they thought we were a little "off" for doing so.. Other neighbor looked at me, shook his head and said THIS I GOTTA SEE!! We started making the list of things they would need to carry,,,, got to the part about bug spray needed to keep the hoards of skeeters, black flys and No-see-ems off our backs while setting up the tents and the whole plan went right out the window.... The skeeters would never of even came up back a few years ago...

My guess is that in Canuckian "ok" is the short version of "alright" Bongo.. Hey Carl, I've had a couple of run ins with Tooche' before and I can pretty much assure you he is not alright,,,,, he is like the rest of us normal varmints and is half left.. Speakin of half left,, there's only half of Friday left too!!!!! :think:Maybe Tooche' aint so half left like I thought he was,, most us normal varmints woulda had that new bike named, broken in and pictures shared with us buddies by now:think:.... Good grief I hope that prankster salesman didnt make some more off the wall comment trying to sneak 50 more Canuckian dollars from Tooche',,,,,, if he did I hope there is half of him left - eh:rotf: -

Beulah The Buzzer on that one,, dont cha just hate puppy love:big-grin-emoticon:??? Oh well,,,, like Gawildkat always says = 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all',,,,,,,, wonder if Kat was thinking about men and motorcycles when she penned that:scratchchin:. Me n Tweeks was sitting in the garage purusing thru Ebay and discovered something - WOW theres a lot of Limiteds for sale and at much better price points.. Tweeks laughed and said now go see if you can even find ONE of me.. She wins ,, no new Harley While we were playing around comparing Harley Limited prices the ol girl managed to nudge me over into the tires and battery sections of Ebay and started with the "I want one of these and two of those" routine:Im not listening to.. Typical spoiled ol sticker covered 1st Gen with no second gear and a worn out saddle - some bikes want EVERYTHING!!!!

as long as you like

Know the bike WELL, 2012 Limited, 4k miles,,, got all the whistles and bells.. Even has the detachable trunk option... Tweeks is snarling at me... Ohhhhhh the pain of it all!!! Lot of bike for 17500... Lot a money for a motor and two wheels.. Sure would seem weird to ride something so,, so,,,,, well,, so fancy!! ,,,, Tip says if we do this we will never hear the end of it from all our friends on VR.. I told her no problem as long as we covered it with stickers as we traveled.. Sure is purdy!! Helped my buddy unload it from his trailer 3 years ago and actually was the first one to take it for a ride back then with zero miles on it - rode it even before my buddy did .. What a sweet machine!! 27k back then brand new... Wow thats a lot of beans..... Has over 5k of goodies Dave added on to it between then and now... Lots of goodies... Sure love motorcycles ,, specially pretty new Harley's ,,, wow what bike!!

I have always LOVED the looks of the new Voyager - that fairing has a certain style that appeals to me.. Have heard stories of them being leg toasters too.. Racking my brain here and maybe wrong about this but it seems like @Barrycuda may have had one:think:... Perhaps the bagger Voyager (Vaquero) would be cooler running... Wait a second here,,, didnt Kawi make some changes to the later models concerning the heat - seems like I read somewhere about an upgrade or something... Talking about new bikes here,,, I just noticed that its almost midnight,,, gotta scoot over to @The Tooch 's new bike page and give em a hard time!! He said "I WILL POST PICS ON FRIDAY" and in 17 minutes it will be Friday!!! :stirthepot::stirthepot::crackup:

Have tried many of em over the years Rodney and, IMHO, Yamabond #4 is the best of the best.. Doesnt foul, swell or break up from oils or gas. Drys flexible and seals like WOW!! Gotta hunch that its what Mom Yam uses in her factory factory case sealing. VERY friendly with aluminum!! Word of advice brother (and I know you know this but thought I would put it up here in case someone else reads this that doesnt know this).. Because Yamabond #4 does not break down, if you get to much on "the crush" and it over laps and happens to get into oil passages it WILL cause a problems.. Use the stuff sparingly - just a nice light smear works AWESOME!! As with all sealants, make sure every thing is oil free and clean, smear both halves with a light smear, let dry to tacky (dont take long - be ready) to slip it together... Lots and lots of old - came OEM pre-70's oil leakers left my shop as a "WOW - NEVER KNEW NORTON MADE A BIKE THAT DIDNT LEAK" motorcycle because of Yamabond #4 !

Prayers Up and Blessings Down Kat!! Wishing Mike all the best in the GREATEST of outcomes on his surgery!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAWWWWWWWWW!! :bikersmilie: Out a whooping on em and not even have to use the force!!!!!

and now perhaps the most arcane reason of all to go - its the reason that has proven to have given me some of the most deeply satisfying fun when traveling cross country on Tweeks with Tip, one of my kids or even by myself.. Gonna sound a little goofy but that's ok, I know I am among friends here so I can say it and not get in to much trouble... Ready? I THINK I WILL GO THAT WAY CAUSE I AINT NEVER BEEN THAT WAY BEFORE There, I said it and guess what,, I really aint never have been to no WNY Rally before and would LOVE to finally make one.. If your reading this and your a newbie to our group of lop eared varmints, have never been to one of our rally's and even remotely considering it I would encourage you to make the leap and head attaway - take the plunge cause,,, well,, cause why not head that way cause you aint never been that way before? I'm really tired,, been a long day,,,,,, did any of what I just typed make any sense:duck:

Shooot brother,,,, dont let no salesman trying to get more money out of your pocket steal the joy between you and your new bike - it's not worth it my friend.. Try to remember that your gorgeous new scoot is an innocent bystander in all their nonsense.. It didnt choose to be sent to that dealership,, it is innocent I tell ya,,, INNOCENT!! Go into the dealership tomorrow, tell them thanks for standing by the original agreement and that you are very glad to know that you are dealing with an honest dealership. Tell them you belong to a HUGE Yamaha club that highly respects good dealerships and that you will let people know how they chose to follow ethical business practices by honoring the initial deal.. As hard as it may be, say it all in a spirit of thankfulness.. After you check your new bike out closely to make sure it was put together properly, shake a few hands in the back room and thank them for work. Ask a few questions and see if you can a feel for their knowledge. Leave the place with a good feeling in the air.. Go a few blocks from the dealership, stop and tell your new scoot that it is in a good hands now.. Take some time alone with your new scoot admiring her shear beauty - dont be afraid to openly compliment pieces and parts that stand out to you (new scoots are delicate, ya gotta remember they have no prior owner and may be a little timid). Start the bonding process out by giving her a name.. Remember brother,, salesman like the one you just left back at that dealership are dime a dozen (hope you realize what happened is really not uncommon) and your new scoot is one in a million cause it is yours!!! Oh,,, one more thing. 's,,,, 's 's 's:big-grin-emoticon: -

Considering a different bike than my 2003 RSV 2nd gen
cowpuc replied to Cheesehead in flatland's topic in Watering Hole
You betcha,,, ANYTIME! -
OUTSTANDING JSB!!!!!:clap2::clap2::dancefool: Hopefully you nailed it - sounds very very likely that you did!!! Just a quick note here to anybody with a 1st Gen reading this thread.. The first thing that popped into my mind when I started reading JSB's post was "wonder if he tried disconnecting his speedo" because I have been almost squealed out of the saddle by the surprise squeal of a dry speedo/cable.. Then I came to my senses that we were talking a 2nd Gen here - totally different animal so I didnt say anything.. Just thought I would stick this note up here in case a new comer to the the wonderful world of Venture riding happened to read this - didnt want one of them to head down the wrong path if they hear a SQQQUUUEEEEAAAL - 1st Gens are far more likely to develop a dry speedo than a dry rad fan - IMHO of course.. WONDERFUL NEWS JSB!! Hope you have a wonderful trip out there!! PS: 's please.. (thought you were gonna get away with something didnt cha:big-grin-emoticon:
