Where Hot Dogs are plentiful and VR members are

Gotta plan your ill health events to happen while in crowds of people so they can all an ambulance if needed Lenny.. That happens naturally for me, I very seldom wipe out or go over backwards while riding a wheely when I am by myself - if I can't totally embarrass myself in the process of getting injured I am usually safe.. I totally understand where your coming from though brother.. As I mature I find myself asking myself some of those same questions.. Usually the answer comes in the form of a thought of something like, "if it happened way out here in the middle of nowhere I would get to ride in an Ambulance Helicopter" which actually sounds kind of fun:big-grin-emoticon:.. At least more fun then being draped over the back of a triked motorcycle like a sack of taters

Yea Bongo,, you got a mouse in your pocket or something

I ran a dial indicator with its magnetic based stuck to the side of a stand for a dirt bike against the surface of a rotor I had tweeked in the process of a tire change (got a little to aggressive and in to much of hurry trying to break the bead of the tire by driving my car onto a 2x6). I spun the wheel on the Yam with indicator doing its thing and SMACKED the rotor a couple times with a lead hammer and it trued right back to within a few thou - sort of like truing a crankshaft between V blocks.. Figured I bent it,, I'd bend it back... It worked BUT,, I am in no way endorsing such madness!!! I highly suspect the best way to fix a bent rotor is to replace it..

Funny you mention that Trader,, Tip, Tweeks and I stopped at a Harley Shop (had a BIG sign out by the road on our way to Sturgis that read "Free Hot Dogs" and ol Pucster LOVES free Hot Dogs).. After watching me gobble down a half dozen of their free Hot Dogs a salesman walked over and asked what we were riding (he didnt see us pull in) and wondered if we had interest in trading in our scoot and finishing our ride on a new Harley.. I smiled and said SURE... I will never forget the look on the salesman's face when we walked out into parking lot and he saw Tweeks standing there grazing between all those Hogs.. The salesman looked at me and said "we couldnt give you anything for that beat up old Yamaha" ... I could see Tweeks ears perk up when he said that and I reached over and patted her between her horns and told her not to worry,, I was only in it for the Hot Dogs anyway

So Ghost, did you check your alignment while you folks were on the road and did you find that you needed to make adjustments to the alignment? Did you find your alignment changing as you rode and if so, was it the design of the Spyders front end that allows for the alignment to change so quickly or did it happen after hitting pot holes and ruts? Is the system your using basically a set of lasers used to set the "toe" geometry and not so much camber/caster? Wow,, I am full of all kinds of questions aren't I Larry ( @Carbon_One ) told me about a website that dealt with his new Slingshot and I read something on there about needing to have those trikes laser aligned. What your talking about sounds vaguely familiar. In the case of the Slingshot it almost sounded like Polaris Dealerships may have been having some catching up to do in Automotive type vehicle alignment work cause,, going from memory from what I read so I may be wrong here, those Slingshot owners over at that site were all talking about having to go outside of the dealer network to get the better alignment. I think the story you tell about some NASCAR stuff rings a bell too.. Fun stuff to know about if your an ol wanna be gear head like yours truly!!

Gonna give that Canuckian @Marcarl a little assistance for you guys!! Ever wonder what riding on the back of a Spyder is like?? Keep an eye on the surface of the water of the Water Hole and you may get to do a ride along with Carl and Spidey the Spyder!!! This will teach those Mouseketeer rally goer's who attended the recent KW M&G and were all and NO 's!!!!

I spent many many, ok,, and MANY hours on trikes back when I was younger.. I had Yamaha Tri-Z's, Honda 250R's and a couple of Honda 350x's.. I made my kids stay off em cause they were a little trickier to ride than the quads/dirt bikes they were used to BUT I LOVED my trikes because of that very same trickiness.. I could ride em on two wheels - either on the rear wheels or front/back wheel - for EVER!! They were much more nimble than a quad, clamp the throttle to the bars and whip a roady slicker than smashed frogs on a highway PLUS they would float fairly well.. The thought never crossed my mind back than whether or not I was too old or young,,, I was just out having fun with my kids.. If I rode a trike today it would be the same,, it would not matter to me if people thought I was to young or to old as long as I was having fun with the other kids.. The End PS - I do have a theory that a triked 1st Gen would still be faster than a two wheel 2nd gen.. The End for real!!

Ohhhh sure,,, try to drag poor ol @dogman into this conspiracy of a Meet n Greet that never happened... Rules is rules and and the unspoken rules clearly state that,,,,,, well I dont have to repeat forum rules - you ol timer varmints know em better than I do!!

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about Jox - GOOD ON YA BROTHER!!! Got er ready to start, flyyy down open highway and absorb any misplanted pot holes, lap up twisties like a lop eared varmint VR member taking down a Banana Nut Ice Cream cone and stop on a dime - who can ask for anything more!!:big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon: Let this be a lesson to any motorcycle rider out there who has not yet joined this ingenious group of mechanical/electrical misfits - they could solve most, if not all, the worlds biking problems if people would take time to listen and spin the wrenches:thumbsup:!!! :ice_congrats-vi6886,,,, Jox!!!

OR,,, he could special order one with 10" scooter wheels on it!!! I think that would REALLY look cool!! -
Awe,,, THANKS MIRIDER!!! Really glad you liked the Grand Prize bother - its the gift that keeps on giving!! Gotta say though,, I wayyyy over ordered on those Grand Prizes last year.. I have a little over 1000 of them (Grand Prizes) left over after distributing them ... I am a man of faith in my fellow lop eared varmints though so when I just reordered for next seasons Grand Prizes I ordered the same amount as I did last year..

Now that he is retired maybe he will find getting to the "meat" of the subject in his dissertations a little easier

It was a lot of extra work but those of you who attended last years "Puc's Meet - Greet and Eat Meat" Grand Finale will never forget the parade I set up for the discourse.. That went over so well that this year I am working on doing live entertainment for a number of our outings.. I also have talked to some of my staff and think I have a couple of them talked into working some evening hours and may very well be scheduling a party or two from 4 till 8pm.. Possibly even a weekend event for all you cryba,,, people who are afraid to look at your boss and tell him you are leaving early cause you want to go have a GREAT BIG DELICIOUS 1/4 POUND Hot Dog or 2 or 3 or 4 with Tippy, Tweeks, Puc and who ever else knows how good those Dogs really are.. Gonna be great Summer,,, best come soak your toes in the Water Hole once in a while so you dont miss none of the fun!!!

OUCH!!!! Thoughts and prayers your way too Doug!!!
