  1. What kind of cash you think that guy laid out for that set up Raggy? Knowing Corbin - couldnt have been cheap.. Without doing any kind of digging I am gonna guess 3 grand for the seat and bag set up.. Sort of different,, kind of makes me think about some of the HD's I have seen around with the gap filled in between the bags and fender.. I like em but still not sure how much.... Definitely more space for stickers!! Always need more space for those puppies!!

Hoping and praying she is ok and any medical attention she is getting works out!! That is the kind of collateral damage to this stuff that is NEVER fun - Prayers Up brother!!

  6. No 2nd gear doesnt make em scrap - at least to some folks.. It always amazed me how durable and rideable they are even with no 2nd gear!! Just finished off wearing out my 5th - no second gear MK1!! A LOT of GREAT memories from those scrap scoots I tell ya!! Short shifting is a way of life around the Puc house:big-grin-emoticon: Cant WAIT to follow the rebuild thread Johnny!! By the way = I LOVE those ol Blondes!!

  9. Definitely gonna take your advice on the Castor Oil brother!! Although,, back when I was doing a lot of MX'n and dirt riding I used to LOVE to follow guys running "bean oil" cause I loved the smell.. Probably would have the opposite effect so I will take your advice Slayer

  11. I asked about Seafoaming the living daylights out of it Riv - Doc said no way hosay.. Said something about steering clear of additives for the time being and giving it all time to heal up.. Also said that the biggest issue associated with Tuner installs is folks not following the orders of taking it easy, not moving the clavical area around (heavy lifting and over head movement are a major no no) until healing takes place around the Tuner leads. Said "you HAVE to take it easy for scar tissue to form around the leads - this should also do the trick for the clotting".. As for "filtering" = never even thought of that = read below.. Thanks for the thougts, concern and Prayers Up brother!! Never even heard of such a thing DanL' - THAT is amazing!! They gotta go in and change the filter once in a while or does it self clean as the clotting dissolves? Apparently, if its not to bad of clotting, in the arm when the vessles plug off the blood finds new ways to travel.. Then the clotted area will dissolve, over time, on its own.. You injury was DEFINITELY far worse than what I have going on here (sooo sorry that happened to ya bro BUT sooo glad they were there for you - what would we do around here with out our YammerDan!!) - got very little pain associated with the clotting, swelling is gone and discoloration too.. I am just whining for whining sake being a about having to lay low - wanna go race my buddies brand new 2017 Harley 103 High Output with my "brand new" 1983 Venture ("Sis" has got a second gear, OUTSTANDING CLUTCH and EVERYTHING) that I got from @Carbon_One so bad I can TASTE IT!!!!! 103 inch fuel injected high output against an old Carbed 74 inch and I still think I will put a whoopin on em !! Waiting to run with the big dogs again!! Puc

I, for one, would be HONORED to see some 's of your scoot,, I know,, I KNOW,, I am kind of a pest when it comes to 's = flaw in my flawed character as it were ..   14. Trackin right with ya Lenny! Crazy how things change aint it? ,, but,, then again,, crazy how things also stay the same.. Back, way back in "the day" so to speak,, we had these things called "CB's" that us social butterflies used to play with.. It was a crazy time of life - CB clubs with club vests, club contest to see who had the most CBing friends and on and on.. Now that I think about it - nothing has really changed except for the magnitude and the ease of being part of it all. Big difference was, back then it seemed like us social butterfly CBers were considered "outsiders" - sort of rebels in a strange way.. Nowadays its the other way around.. Interesting too was the fact that back then us motorcycle crazies were also considered outsiders.. Totally outside of modern societies realm of normal.. Seems like everything has flip flopped in a strange kind of way.. Why its enough to make a has been hippy, CB talkin motorcycle freak his head and ask what just happened.. and a healthy too!

  17. 1st Tuner test showed me operating off the Tuner 67% of the time.. They said I was still running "flat" (which I took as I still had a little lean condition going on) so they tweeked the program a little to make it more responsive.. Also gotta a dog gone blood clot in my left arm happening.. Gotta lay low with it a little for a month = keep it elevated and apply heat.. Kind of concerned me cause I always thought blood clots in the plumbing could lead to stroke.. Doc said that is very uncommon with clotting in the arm.. Hanging in there! Puc

  19. Tip n I sat on one once,, NICE FEEL!!! Also LOVE the dash board and the fairing design.. Still not really sure why Kawi didnt just complete the design by fully water cooling it as long as they were gonna end up with a radiator = blocking the air flow across the jugs anyway.. IMHO,, thats a lot of bike for the cash when comparing to other like hearted new machines.. I know that Kawasaki installed an external fan to cool the rear jug.. Anyone know if that fan operates off the control for the rad fan? Also,, be interesting to know where the hot air being blown off the rear jug is discharging.. One of the things Tip n I (mostly Tip - one up I actually like running without covers so I can see the motor being a sight stimulated male of the species) have really appreciated about the good ol 1st Gens are the side covers that contain the hot air movement while the engine is being cooled.. One might think that air isnt that warm but we who have had those early "louvers" in the side covers can attest to the fact that even those puppies would deform like the machine we used as kids to make creepy crawlers use to do..

    Always had pretty good luck using my Oxy/Ace torch set up with a brazing tip (so I could aim the flame "cone" directly onto the broken bolt if snapped off at the surface) for heat control. Get her cherry, cool it like Rod mentioned and bingo.. Wonder if heating to cherry - let cool to the point of no red (so you dont get a fire) and cool the rest of the way with PB or the home brew would work.. Heating the bolt to red also has the effect of the metal loosing its hardness.. Have also broken off easy outs and found heating the broken easy out to cherry and letting cool can make drilling it out a LOT easier.. One of the things I like about using the "screw in" easy outs is that if it snaps off they will usually come out when drilling in to them with a normal right hand twist drill.. Gotta tell ya Unc -bottom line,, those rotten, broken, exhaust poppin manifold bolts ARE one of lifes true Pain in the backsides = could not agree more with ya brother!! Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and caused my nuckles to start bleeding just looking at those pics!! With todays cramped up engine compartments and all the confounded EPA JUNK ya gotta remove just to get at the confounded things :bang head:,,, well lets just say ol Puc thinks YOU DA MAN for even attempting such a noble adventure..
