  1. Indeed, I definitely found the REAL YAMMERDAN on that one bro!! Weren't no doubt in my mind after we bumped noggins !! Gotta admit though, you did have me cornfused for a few minutes BUT - that alone signified and verified that I had found the right bunch of VR varmints I had been with for all those years... WHAT A HOOT!!!! ****Anyone who aspires to go find a Vogel of their very own would be strongly advised to heed these words = JUST DO IT!!:biker: You'll be glad you did!!
  2. JF, those mountain shots are absolutely GORGEOUS = talk about a Touring delight!!! When I first saw the plushness and tightness of the flora to the roadway the first thing that popped into my mind (besides the overwhelming feeling of wanting to ride it:big-grin-emoticon:) was "wonder if they got deer down there?".. That said - could you give us some insight into what type of wildlife (the animal type ) you may have seen on your epic journey here brother? Thanks Puc
  3. ^^^ VR NORMALCY DEFINED!! ^^^ I will never forget the time Tip n I went in search of a Vogel.. We headed out CTFW on Tweeks with the purpose of answering 2 pertinent questions: 1. What exactly is a Vogel. 2. Are there actual people behind the screen names found here on VR or was there just one person doing all the activity on the site (I long since wondered if Freebird had just created a list of screen names and was solely responsible for all the responses associated with the names.).. That trip was successful on both accounts. We found a Vogel and learned that real - normal (as defined by Sir Bongo above) lop eared people varmints are actually attached to those screen names.. I even found the depth of Bongo's definition when a young man named YammerDan looked at me and said = I'm not YammerDan and I KNEW I had just met YammerDan = NO confusion there on anyone's part for sure!!!!!!
  4. Bum did that to Lake Michigan a couple years ago Bongo,, I remember it vividly cause I was hoping for the same thing - only problem was, the slick ice topping on top of the lake gave Fool the chance to readjust his the angle of the output nozzles on the Wisconsin White Washer = was able to aim them directly at his buddies house (me) on the other side of the pond, kicked on his newly built SnoperCharger and WOOFF - direct hit closed us in with 10' of powder!!! Never under estimate the ingenuity that can come forth with those two varmints when they put their devious minds to work together ,,, another really strange thing happened during that time... Tip n I took a putt (in the car) down by the Lake and noticed that we could actually see the lights of Milwaukee where @Flyingfool lives. This NEVER happens - at least that I ever saw. I saw those lights and told Tip = LOOK AT THAT,,, Jeff must be up to no good,, probably found a way to tweek Waukees power output to spin up the SnoperCharger a little faster.. Sure enough, by weeks end, 10 feet of pure Wisconsin White Washer white out all over our yard!!
  5. and then to think he was the one who actually started this bunch of misfits Jeff
  6. Dont know how but I missed this one = sorry Drews but RIGHT BACK AT CHA ON THE GREAT TIMES!!!! Looking forward to the ones coming our way in '17 brother!!!!
  7. Got er adjusted just about right there brother!!! Only a dusting of 5 inches or so here on its way to share with all your friends and those :stickpoke:down south who been begging for it = GREAT JOB JEFF!! Needle draining off juice:(,, your right,, that sounds like NO FUN!! Prayers Up that you wont have to go that route!! Also glad you can finally put chur pants back on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Been under the weather a little lately brother but mark my words,,, I'll be back :witch_brew::witch_brew::witch_brew::witch_brew: ,,, wait a minute,,,,,, write as much as Carl talks,,,,,
  9. Careful Snype!! Those Canukians can be sneaky lop eared varmints ..
  10. Wont be a spoiler for ya Snype but can tell ya this,,, they's out there = go find one and you will be richly blessed!!
  11. I wanted to say something about a pot and a kettle but Ben's got my brain so twisted up with brain freeze that I cant remember what it was
  12. I been saying it,,, I been trying to warn em for years
  13. Thanks for asking and pointing this out brother, appreciate ALL the support here!! Gotta check in at 5:30 am, surgery starts at 7:30 am and is suppose to take some where between 3 1/2 to 6 hours depending on what all they find when they get in there. They are planning on taking some lymph nodes for dissecting and double checking them for spreading there too. As it stands, they are planning on releasing me on Tuesday back into Tippy and the Lords care at home, once again depending on how it all goes. As any of you folks who have met her, that Treasure In Person (TIP) sweetheart of mine is the best best friend and life mate a guy could be blessed with!! She sends you ALL a huge THANK YOU for the thoughts and prayers and lots of :bighug:too!! Pre-Op's went well. They held back lots of important info about all this till the very end. Get this = starting tomorrow I gotta be on a strict "clear fluids" diet. Then do the clean out business with "Fleet" at 4 am on Monday. Then, they tell me, "sipping" clear fluids only after the surgery until I go poo poo.. When they said that, Tip n I looked at each other and :confused24: = same question on both our minds = how ya suppose to poo poo if ya dont eat nuttin .. Tell ya bunch of lop eared varmints one thing for sure - hope those Hot Dog cookers out there on our Venture Rider touring trails are building their supply of Hot Dogs cause it sure sounds to me like once we get thru this and into CTFW time those Dogs is gonna be an endangered species:thumbsup2: Thanks again for ALL your thoughts and prayers thru all this stuff!! God has blessed us richly with friends such as each of you!!! Some things in all this that I am HIGHLY thankful to our Lord for besides each of you: The Surgeon who is doing the work is a brother in the Lord. He has been thru some of the same surgery, suffered thru a lot of the same "tiredness" and complications I have been dealing with and is very optimistic of the outcome possibilities. He also seems to be a very humble and gratitude filled individual with a deep desire to help those the Lord sends his way. Back in 06 our local Hospital invested heavily in state of the art Operating Room technology. The surgeon who will be working on your ol buddy was instrumental in all the updating and is highly admired by other Physicians in our area (I recently met with my Cardiologist for a Tuner checkup and he was telling us that we are in very good hands). Puc
  14. A HUGE thank you for all the thoughts and Prayers Up gang, it is REALLY appreciated!! Just a heads up though, my "pre-op's" stuff should be finished tomorrow (meeting with 3 doctors) and they are planning to open me up early on Monday. It looks like a 3 to 6 hour surgery (depending a lot on how extensive the cancer has spread = will know more when they get inside). A little bit nervous about this one but, God has it all under control and, with your thoughts and prayers, will see us thru!! Once again, I TRULY appreciate all the concern and covet each of you in friendship, thoughts and prayers. THANKS GANG! Puc
  15. You betcha Or,, ALWAYS happy to in your favor brother = good grief its GORGEOUS over there in your ride area!!! By the way folks,, dont let Orlin's humbleness fool ya - you dont have to go that far east to harass the Wildcats!! Here is short video of one we found camped right next to us in Orlin's secluded, "private" campground which, unless I am missing something,, Orlin n Sharon are planning on having "open" for our indulgence again ??
  16. Seems how your still stuck on riding a 2nd Gen Raggy I am not sure this will help but, if one of my 1st Gen's had ever needed Cable Service I would have gotten ahold of @yamagrl and inquired about one of her Cable service plans. Personally, I keep a good battery installed - cable's and starter cleaned and havent needed the service yet (knock on my wooden beaner). Wanna hear something cool Raggy? Gonna be down after some medical snipping real soon. Got ambisious today, went out - hook the battery charger up on our new scoot, filled the bowls by toggling the kill switch, she rolled about 3 times and VAROOOM:missingtooth: = no strain on the cables what so ever:thumbsup:!! Not sure where all the Internet type responses are coming from here but we been using Frontier DSL for a long time. 25 bucks/month for internet and 40 for "all we can eat" landline service (gotta have a hard line so those tuner guys can keep an eye on my tuner). Xfinity has been after us for ever to switch to High Speed voice over phone/internet with a beginning monthly charge of $50 plus "fee's". I would do it but, not including obvious reasons for needing a hard line, we love our phone guys service - always happy to help with issues even if its something inside the house at no xtra charge and I just dont see how some person in India or Istanbul or Egypt could afford to come here and figure out what wires I crossed for 50 bucks a month
  17. Just noticed that our lop eared VR varmint, my good buddy Orlin, and his wife Sharon are hosting the 2017 VR International Rally this year in Wisconsin (a HUGE thank you to both of you!!). In a valiant effort to create an International uproar = the more the merrier () and give a quick heads up to all you folks who are considering attending - fear not the tales or rumors of the Wisconsin Wildcat hidden in their beloved riding area. That particular species of the Ferocious Felinious Adventuroxious upon which those rumors are founded can be tamed if approached with caution. **** this message approved by MOE - Chief of Lawn Maintenance for the VR 2017 International Rally ****
  18. Hearing that Rand,, about fell over when I heard the news about Carrie Fisher and her mom, Debbie Reynolds too.. "Miss Skywalker" was only 60 years old when struck with a heart attack - sad indeed. Sure puts it all into perspective of how precious life is and how important it is to "Carpe Diem" dont it?
  19. Right back at cha dear brother of mine,,, and back at that precious wife or yours too = Happy New Year to both of you:thumbsup:!! to a 2017 FILLED with:
  20. OUTSTANDING Raggy:cool10::cool10:!!!! You are an inspiration to ALL us frostbitten, lop eared Michigan VR varmints brother!! Still laying low, prepping for my New Years gift to myself of an all out attack on this cancer that's been slowing me down some and then some heal up time and then, Lord willing and the creek dont rise = IT'S HOT DOG TIME!!!! Keep those carbs cleaned out and tires inflated brother cause Springs a comin and we gotta chase each other around the bend! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!:group cheers::group cheers: and Randy, YOU and your lovely wife are an inspiration too :happy65:,,, reading all those stories of life behind the wheel of a Miata just shows there is more than one way to pure VR fun and frolic :guitarist 2:!!!
  21. Right back at you Don!! And a VERY Merry Christmas to you and ALL my lop eared VR varmint brothers, sisters and their familys here on VR!!!
  22. Got a start at a poem but wayyy to busy around here to finish it at this time!! If you feel inclined, feel free to help the ol Pucster out by adding on!! Twas the night before Christmas and all over this place, the lop eared varmints of VR have a smile on their face. Yes their bikes are all stored with carbs drained so clean, the formation of fuel shellac is NOT part of their dream. You'ld think that these varmints would be in despair, cause touring on their bikes they could no longer share. To the person outside of their lowly history, true understanding of VR is still quite a mystery. Many habits were formed when Don started it all, a family was formed in VR's sacred hall. News flash = just opening Christmas cards = WOWZY @mirider = BEAUTIFUL:dancefool::dancefool: = the kind words and thoughts are GREATLY appreciated and WOWZY - looks like "Candy" is TOTALLY enjoying her very first Christmas at her new home !! Had a phone call from our dear friends @VentureFar and wife lil bit ago!! Nice to hear from Neil. Told me all about his brake loss adventure - sounds like he's got it all under control for the coming season !! We thank the Lord it was no worse then it was!! The "family" spirit of Christmas is second to none around this joint - getting ready to read thru the greetings in other threads of "Merry Christmas" and respond accordingly (if I can beat the +14 people who will be walking in the door shortly to devistate the pineapple Ham cooking ), also see numerous P.M.'s posted here somewhere - got a jolly Christmas feeling there are probably a couple "Merry Christmas's" in there too!! Bottom line, where ever you are, if your reading this = the Tweeks, Tippy n Puc household wish you the very best Christmas season possible!! Puc and now - a Christmas present for each of you = HOT DOGS FOR EVERYONE IN 2017!!!!!:witch_brew::witch_brew: a HUGE thank you and special Christmas wish to our dear friend and brother @Flyinfool for turning the power off to his White Washer shed for this weekend - THANKS JEFF!!
  23. Picked up a set of 10" Cragar's and 6" Chrome Slots for my '69 fast back Macher back in '70 from Kmart for $85. Probably all gone by now though:missingtooth:.. Tried to find new wheels for our 05 KIA, other than OEM = things are made of unobtainium. Wonder if ya might find a set of new take off's at a dealership Dan.. Maybe check Discount tire too.. May very well end up at a salvage yard BUT - if ya do, make sure ya have em give em a spin on a tire machine before you take em home = not all those junk yard guys are cautious where the smack em to break em loose!!
  24. Yet another OUTSTANDING followup!! Sorry to read about the food poisoning ordeal - that sounds like not so much fun but WOWZY, those trails leading there were breath taking!! What an amazing adventure on a $250 Venture
  25. ,,, you got no monopoly on that market,,, ,,,,, ,,,,,,, = Bob
