  1. [h=1]Pt 4, 2018 MarCarls VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] The morning of May 26th 2018,,, about 11 a.m. Canuckian time!!! The REAL fun begins!!!!
  2. [h=1]Pt 3, 2018 MarCarl's VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] Due to some unforeseen problems, the usual person(s) (our club members and dear friends of mine, "MarCarl" and his wife) who normally host this awesome event were unable to do so this year. Another dear friend and brother of mine, Dogman and his precious wife Bernie decided to pick up the slack and host the event!!! After arriving at the Dogman family residence, it took some pretty deep discussion and a lot of time (didnt hit the sack until after 2 a.m. - it was SOOOO wonderful seeing my friend again and meeting his precious Wife - THANK YOU again Mr. and Mrs. Dogman for such great hospitality and for EVERYTHING!!) but I finally got an answer to the timeless question of whether or not Dogmans Dogs will tinkle on a tent wall!!! YES,,,,, but ONLY if Dogman tells em too!! In the course of finding this out, I did uncover something else though that is even more puzzling,, I found out out that Dogman actually talks to his dogs and they speak back to him.. Sort of Dr. Doolittle thing going on there!!!!! Club secret!!
  3. [h=1]Pt 2, 2018 MarCarl's VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] Price and availability of fuel in Canada near Grimsby Ontario,, I think,,,,, actually I cant remember the name of the town I am in here,, I know it's where the Red Valley Parkway connects on to the QEW (what does QEW stand for? - my guess is Queen Elizabeth Way - lets see if one of my Canadian friends can solve this one!!).
  4. Price and availability of fuel at the U.S./Canadian Border in Port Huron, Michigan..
  5. This is heartbreaking news to say the least!! Tip and I send our deepest condolences to Pastor Kevin's family along with our prayers. May the Lord that Kevin so valiantly served bring peace and comfort to each your hearts at this very difficult time. God speed Rev and THANK YOU for your service to the Lord you loved!! Puc n Tip
  6. I totally agree with you here Kretzer BUT,,, I do actually enjoy the testing part of engine oils:cool10:
  7. That bleeder up by the ignition is so you can do this from the top:
  8. Oh Canada,,,,, Oh Canada,,, NOW I know why they sing,, Oh Canada!!! What wonderful times we had and priceless memories we made,, eh ! THANK YOU to each and every one of you for sharing your lives, homes, time, food, smiles and laughter with Tweeksis and I - it was an honor to meet/make such precious memories with new friends and to once again, make more great memories with dear friends of old!!! I am falling asleep at my keyboard here and have a memorial ride for a brother/friend of mine that I gotta attend today so I am not sure when I will get back to this BUT,,, ye lop eared Canuckian varmints be warned,, I now have video proof of why you sing - Oh Canada - and very soon, others will also know why!!!!
  9. @Carbon_One ,,, you ever produce an adapter for the 1st Gens Lar?
  10. But cha don't need no Enhanced License (these work great for the Canadian/US border) or Passport to cross into OHIO to attend the big rally at Don's!!! Be glad to see you and your new bike there Chief!!!!!!
  11. Thankfully you are in the financial situation where you are good to go with keeping things straight with HFS while this whole thing works itself out.. IMHO,, it is absoluely appalling that a company could have so much disregard and disrespect for a person who came to them as a customer that they could care less for that persons credit standing.. Especially when our societys very life blood is completely built on borrowing and lending.. Tell ya one thing American,,, if thing ever does go full circle and end up in court, those low lifes are fortunate that ol Pucster aint sitting at the bench with the gavel in hand... The solution would be somewhat stiffer than them setting things straight $$ wise and paying a little fine,,,, felony convictions would be handed out like free Hot Dogs at a Puc's MGnEm.... Creeps
  12. Got Char looking WOWZY WOW WOW WOW there Yamster!!! Thank you for the ride report and pics,, enjoyed the ride along!! You mentioned roadwork,,, thinking of possibly headed to Dogmans in Gimsby for that Rally (to bad Chars going in for a health check,, would LOVED to have met the two of you there). If we are able to go, we will come over on 403 to the Lincoln Alexander and hook a right,, over to the Red Hill Valley PKway and hook a left, up to QEW and hook a right and over to Gimsby.. Any thoughts on road conditions along that trail?
  13. Well THAT is just plain wrong!!!! Sorry you gotta deal with all that American but dont let it stop ya from enjoying your new scoot. Summers wayyy to short for that IMHO.. Stinkin scammers are everywhere,,,,,,, THANK YOU for the heads up here!!!!
  14. Thanks Bum, would LOVE to see you too brother!!! Tips still sawing logs,, I felt her forehead a bit ago and her temp seems to be down,,, should know in a couple hours how it looks for a ride over.. You gonna make MD at Don's? If we cant make it to :178:man's,,, maybe in Ohio?
  15. Tip and I were out in Needles California,, temps pushin 110ish.. I had just swapped in some new oil and left that little plastic cover that goes over the oil fill sitting on the curb.. We went about 50 miles and catching some pretty good desert winds blowing that hot oven like air across the scoot when Tip says "my right foot is getting cooked!!".. Looked down and sure enough,,, guard is gone... Went back and got it,,, definitely that important IMHO..
  16. Dont know about you but I also run with the ports on my side covers sealed
  17. and Plug Caps - (c - vid)!! I do the dark room testing too.. Night time is a good time to be looking for electrical leakage, especially anything to do with the high voltage, secondary side of the ignition coils!!
  18. whether or not that big slug of water by Dogbreaths house is the Hudson Bay...... You REALLY gotta pay better attention when I am talking Carl,,, I been watching you for a long time and you tend to drift some nowadays..
  19. One of the nice things that I always appreciated about my 1st Gens was the option of running full covers including the little plastic side covers like the one down by the oil fill - all of those covers are doubly effective, IMHO, if your touring 2 up and you get into cross winds or traffic jams.. I used to hang a hunk of leather I cut from some welding sleeves across the front of the seat on my shovel to keep from cooking my thigh when desert touring and know there are now people manufacturing such things (I think "Captain Itch"? is a common one these days) for exactly that purpose but you simply cannot shroud up an air cooled completely as they really have to breath for cooling purpose.. Snype,,, are you running side covers on your scoot?
  20. I have used Walmart Super Tech and Dollar Store non energy conserving dino oils for many many years in my Ventures.. I run 20/50 exclusively in the summer temps when touring and swap out my oils by color and/or notchiness in shifting instead of odometer mileage and have found that 3 or 4k miles per oil change is really pushing the edge = oils cheap.. Out of 6 1st gens all ending with well over 225k miles on em, I only lost 1 to bearing failure,, (crank bearings) but it was one of my real early ones that I beat on pretty hard (had a set of home made headers on it - would sit on main street at the Sturgis Rally and put a noise revved up whoopin on those HD's ,, also pulled many many 200 foot plus 2nd gear burnouts with the poor thing,, wick er up and smoke em down) and it still ran out to 265k miles and actually got me home to Michigan from a west coast run with its crank bearings rattling even louder than one of those new clacker Polaris Indian 111's as shown in video below.. Thats all I know about oil...... Puc P.S. - you should do another thread like this about tires,, I know alot about them too:happy34:
  21. and people wonder why I dont really care for going anywhere without Tip on the back,,,, being the Nav,,, she woulda known that..
  22. eeeeeeeuuuuueeeeeepeeeeeeuuuueeeeeee,, even your word picture here has a strange odor to it Snype!!!! I was just texting with Vaz who is on his way out from Zona and is in Misery (Missouri) in the humidy... Said he needed to grab a shower.. Told em I would let em in on a little trade secret = skip the showers, let the bug spray cake up on you and BINGO - not only will the bugs leave you completely alone but so will the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dancefool:
