  1. Sitting there talking in that Honda dealership about Vaz's motorcycle journey from his home state of Arizona was in full swing when this pretty little blue 2018 Goldwing came by strutting her bling completely side tracking our ongoing reunion!!!The wheels of the 2018 MD were DEFINITELY beginning to spin!!!
  2. HI VAZ!!!!!!! The hunt for VideoArizona may be over and the irony of the location of our initial meeting place may slowly fade off in VR MD history but the fun and memories two really good friends will make while out goofing off on their motorcycles has just begun!!!
  3. As Tweeks and I closed in on the Indiana state line while executing our hunt for VideoArizona, I got this impending feeling that we should stop and check for any new text/phone messages from Vaz. We pulled off at exit 29 only to be greeted by a text message from Vaz that stated that just 10 minutes before, Vaz had pulled off at exit 28!!!!! This type of irony is not that uncommon in our bike club and is part of the reason that we call each other "brother" as well as "friend",, at least thats the way I see it.
  4. Tweeks has this uncanny ability to instantly make friends with people everywhere she goes so I was not surprised to find her talking with this young lady when we stopped for fuel in Holland Michigan while hunting for Vaz. This person gladly honored Tweeksis with another friendly signature on one of her many stickers she and her predecessors have earned but when asked if she had any idea of where we might find VideoArizona she unfortunately didn't have clue.
  5. This years annual VR main event of getting together and spinning wrenches on our steeds took on a slightly different twist for our bike "Tweeksis", my wife "Tip" and I. A friend of ours from Arizona decided to come up and camp with us for a spell and then join us on our trek to the holy grail of all of our clubs rallys held in Ohio. Knowing that most of our club members dont have the built in gps capabilities that I was blest with from birth, I was concerned with my friend Vaz's (short for "VideoArizona") ability to locate us, so Tweeks and I decided to head out on an adventure that we now refer to as "The Hunt For VideoArizona"...
  6. and the link to the video evidence that shows something different than my little clip is where?
  7. It's a simple rule,, until another video gets posted,,,,, mine stands alone as benchmark..
  8. I wouldn't even bet against my old stock 1340 Evo HD if comparing performance against one of the 3rd Gens.. As shown in the vid below,,, they just dont dance... I know,,, I supposedly didn't have the bike in 'Sport Mode" for this run but,, in all fairness,, sport mode doesnt change any performance parameters,, it only affects throttle percentage to feed (been talking to a Yam tech ) which is no different than adding a 1/4 turn throttle to a cable drive. *****Invites are open to record and post a rebuttal video ,, until that happens,, the vid below is benchmark IMHO...
  9. By the way Snype,, GOOD JOB ON SETTING UP THE POLL!!!!!!!
  10. I think we should go back to public hangings for these scammers who prey on our society.. I don't personally even give em the time of day and let em mess up my life with their filth, I just keep an eye on my checking balances and report all ahh ohhs, let the banks handle the frauders.. I will say this though,, something I learned the hard way about using my debit cards when traveling cross country.. I noticed my debit card stopped working one time while out CTFW and thought I had been scammed.. Later I find out that cha gotta call in ahead of time and get clearance for out of town transactions or the bank will shut off the card.. I was kinda upset the first time this happened but later,, after thinking about it,, I was actually thankful to see them taking action to protect themselves and my money and have since, been very very diligent in prereporting my travel plans.. Just sort a personal effort on my part to maybe help in catching one of those lowlifes!!!
  11. You wanna know what those Canuckians up north of ya would say about that brother?,,,,,,,, I knew ya would, eh... They would say,,,,,, the moral of that story right there is that you can't teach an old dog new tricks and if ya even try he will growl at you,, eh!!!
  12. ,,,, Hydrangea eay,,,, was just telling Tippy we needed to find something to plant around our grill outback:happy34:
  13. Vaz should be here tomorrow (PLEASE ride safe out there my brother!!), he is only about 6 hours from us right now.. The weather forming up for our travels to MD looks questionable at this time and I think it would be wrong for anyone in the area that wanted to say howdy to videoarizona to miss the chance because of the weather .. Currently our weather here in West Michigan looks pretty good thru Wednesday and I just got off the phone with David and suggested to him that I set up a Puc's Meet-Greet and Eat-Meat giving him star billing for Wednesday of this week.. That sounded like fun to Vaz too,,, soooo: Number 3 2018 Puc's MGnEM! Wednesday, May 30th 2018 12:30 P.M. Meet at EZ Mart Gas Station 18866 Cadillac Highway Copemish Mi, 49625 All welcome,, free Hot Dogs, chips, pops,, Elvis Concert (The King WILL be joining us!!) and now you even get to meet VIDEOARIZONA IN PERSON!!!!!! **** If your interested, PLEASE let me know here - I wayyyyy over ordered for the last outing and I am not sure that that lop eared Arizonian varmint can handle eating 200 pounds of left over Hot Dogs while he is here!!!
  14. ,,,,,, we're having Amish Pony Rides at MD this year???? ,,, are the Pony Ride tickets included in whatever we put in the lunch donation can? And are their owners bringing a variety of Ponies (1st, 2nd and 3rd Gens?) with a variety of suspension set ups (assuming Ponies come set up permenantly with one dampening/rebound setting?) so everyone will be able to enjoy them even after eating dinner?? This should REALLY be interesting!!!!!! Gitty up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Lots and lots of GREAT CTFW in Colorado but one of my favorite, sometimes missed by others and almost NEVER camped on by others spots there is in Colorada is what I call the Grand Mesa overlook.. Its a mountain top that overlooks Grand Junction and the desert region below.. It's about 12 miles of improved gravel to get out to but DEFINITELY well worth the journey IMHO... Night sky's like none other and not to bad of temps because of the warm air coming off the desert floor below... Get to Grand Mesa and ask about the pathway to the overlook!! GREAT RIDE UP AND DOWN TOO!!
  16. Hey Sly,,, last time I washed our car was in the pouring rain - worked great!! Just take some of that car wash soap, dump it over the car while setting in the rain,,, smear it around a little with the hand,,, then I took my garage broom and scrubbed the grime off!!!! FREE RINSE and get this,, most high end car washes around here advertise using "Soft like rain water" as a rinse so I got a free high end car wash out my invention!
  17. This is exactly the reason that I drop my tools, lock the doors and grab EVERY bit CTFW in the sunshine and warmth that I can, when I can, how I can,,,,,,,,,, never ever ever ever trust weather forcasts and all that nonsense - JUST GET OUT AND RIDE!! Of course,,, living with that infernal turbo charged White Washer aimed at my house 24/7 maybe has made me a little overly sensitive to weather patterns and forecasters in general ... Prayers Up for all you lop eared varmints having to deal with that mess down yonder!! Stay safe!!
  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to read this Ben!!!!! Glad no one was hurt brother!!!! Mannnnnn,, you had that sweetheart lookin sooo good!!! P.S. - a good high end sticker will cover a LOT of oppsies!!
  19. After pulling into Hesperia Michigan on the ride, I decided to take a rip on another path to get in front of the group to see if I could get a full video of everyone who attended on their bikes = IT WORKED!!!!
  20. Riding next to another one of Glennies friends in during the ride!! Not all of Glens buddies were youngens,, some of us biker geezers also loved hanging out with Glenny!!!
  21. In this video, we head out for the actual Glen Rocky ride.. Glen would be so proud to know how much he was loved and missed!!
  22. I rode hard and made it back to Michigan from Canada just in time to make our 7th annual Glenn Rocky Memorial ride!! Glenny was a friend of mine of which he had MANY!!! GREAT TURN OUT!!!!
  23. [h=1]Pt 7, 2018 MarCarls VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] People often ask me why I carry No compass, No GPS, No Maps and, many times my reply will be that I have found that having to stop and talk to the local citizens for directions often pays big dividends. Here is perfect example of what I am referring to in action!!!I had my own private escort once I left the group back in Pellham (think this was the name of the town). Sticky and his side kick in the side hack offered to show me the way to go home and their directions were spot on!!THANK YOU STICKY!!
  24. [h=1]Pt 6, 2018 MarCarls VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] It is said that all good things have to come to an end and my time of seeing friends of old, making new ones and exploring the beautiful country of Canada became no exception to the rule. Saying goodbye is always hard for me and the closeness one develops thru sharing times like these with people of this caliber makes doing so even harder. People like Dogman and his wife Bernie who will open their homes and hearts to a drifter from Michigan contribute greatly to this difficulty but so do the many many brothers/sisters/friends who also shared in making this such a special time of life. My hat goes off to each of you for making this, my very first Marcarls VentureIn an unforgettably special time!! THANK YOU, you bunch of lop eared Canuckian varmints!!
  25. [h=1]Pt 5, 2018 MarCarls VentureIn, VentureRider.org MC Canadian Motorcycle Rally[/h] This is a short video example of a Canuckian after lunch ride thru their homelands gorgeous country side. We rode on top of the "escarpment" that this area is known for. During this ride some slippery stuff that looked a little like Spider Manure to me appeared on the roadway and, after we stopped at the end of the ride I found out that my thoughts on what the substance may have been were not that far off. More about this in Part 6 of this series. GREAT TIMES WITH GREAT FRIENDS SEEING THE GREAT COUNTRY OF CANADA FROM THE SEAT OF A GREAT MOTORCYCLE, it dont get no better than this = GET OUT AND RIDE!!!
