    Glock 22

I never did have the honor of owning a Glock either.. Matter of fact,, my very favorite and best fitting (to my hands) and coming to point of aim is the Beretta 92f but I aint even got to own one of those either.. I keep trying to wear out my 1911 (just ordered another 1k rounds of 200 grain flat nose for it) and it keeps going and going and going,, like its got SuperMan shootin dna in it or something.. Ahhh ohhh Sly,, I think we just another one!! Hope you get er figured out and get back to tossin lead @tufftom4!!
  2. IMHO @Marcarl is 100% spot on.. I have used his method of unplugging stuffed up carbs for many years too and it works great - not 100% of the time but DEFINITELY worth a shot. I do like to pull the slides so the mains are exposed before I fill the bowls thru the drains though. Then I take a syringe and fill it with carb cleaner and use the syringe to fill the bowls. While filling thru the drains I watch for cleaner to flow out of the mains (where the metering rod that hangs from the slide slides into the emulsion tube) and into the throat of the carb so I know the carb bowl and circuitry is as full as possible with cleaner. After it has set for while like Carl mentioned, I like to hook the syringe back up, open the drain and move the cleaner in the bowl around by working the syringe in and out and then refill and let it set for few more hours. May sound crazy but it does work sometimes and can save a bunch of hours of carb rebuilding. Bottom line though, there is NOTHING that works better then pulling them down and cleaning/replacing jets. Just all depends on how bad they are plugged,, IMHO of course...
  3. One of our club member was in need of a TCI and coils for his 84 and I had a spare set that I sent him. It was all still attached to the original mount off my 1st first gen and still had the original wires and caps all still attached. Those original caps were clearly stamped "5k Ohm" so truthfully Cha, you are replacing to original OEM spec. You did fine brother!

    Glock 22

Cant you just pull it down and make sure all is well? What Model of Glock is it Tuffy? Got pics? Guns a FUN to tinker with!!
  7. I TOO AGREE 100% with @Vickersguy too but dad burn it ya lop eared @slowrollwv varmint Roller,,, ya know me to well.. You got me brother.. Fact is, my tack driving days are longgg gone by.. I know from experience that nothing is gonna shoot like reloading for precision would and I had my fill of that time consuming hobby. I do still enjoy the fun of testing ammo just to sort it out, find a decent inexpensive round that will allow Tip and I that will scare leaf's on the ground in the swampy water covered State Land we shoot over out to 1000 yards or so,, just for kicks.. Also entering into this contest is going to be 1000 rounds of this:https://fedarm.com/product/5-56x45-ss109m855-long-penetrator/ that I won at auction for 190 bucks. Being military overrun, heavier bullet and longer projectile,, I am thinking it may take top honors cause those should do really well in my 1:7 barrel. When I started my build a vendor for that company (Fed-Arm) was also regularly distributing tracers.. I KNEW when I see them that I shoulda bid on some but, not knowing for sure how long the build was gonna take (I dont by nothin unless I get a deal and that takes time) so I passed on them.. Now its been a couple months since the vendor has had them on auction and Fed Arm has them backordered even on their site, seen here:https://fedarm.com/product/5-56x45-223-rem-62-grain-m856-tracer-range-grade-ammunition/ It will be a BLAST doing tracers and I look forward to someday having a batch to play with but those are also heavier bullets yet at 64 grains and I gotta hunch they may be fairly accurate as well as having tail lights
  8. YOU are welcome @Condor, always a pleasure returning the favor of posting up these auctions like you do at times!! From one shooter to another = ENJOY!!! If you win one I would LOVE to see 's,,, ton's and ton's of 's!! 's = the gift that keeps on giving
  9. You are more than welcome Sly,, I figured you of all shooters would not be able to get away from that auction .. ,, I am the same way when it comes to bikes and shooters .. Short of making another trip to Gettysburg to spend HOURS pawing around in those little museum like shops out there, that Auction is an amazing reminder of our outstanding countries history and the part that shooters played in our ancestor's ability to bring freedom to the land of the free. All the BEST in aquiring that pre-war Police Positive you are looking at/for my brother!!
  10. To bad Tippy won't do the side car thing (Hogan's Hero's has always been one of our favorite T.V. shows and now she say's that everytime she even thinks of getting into a side car she gets this "Colonel Klink" feeling about her). Regardless, this thing really is SHARP! https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2007-Yamaha-STAR-VENTURE-5005963695
  11. 's,,, lot's and lot's of 's,,,, we LOVE to laugh too ya know:big-grin-emoticon:
  12. Dig this,, I emailed CMMG (the manufacturer of my conversion kit) today to see if their was any form of a warranty on the BCG and if so, did I need to register my purchase with them.. REALLY REALLY AWESOME - MADE IN THE U.S.A. COMPANY!! Response back was EVERYTHING,, including the 3 magazine are 100% fully lifetime warrantied. Thats what I am talking about!!!
  13. Go outside, get a couple buckets of Wisconsin White Wash, go downstairs, pack the White Wash on the cut line, when it melts (dont use the High Temp stuff, it wont work as well and its kind of pricey ) go to cuttin and the melted White Wash will collect the dust. Then when evaporates (like Frosty on a hot summer day), sweep up the remains.. P.S. - if you need White Wash I have a BUNCH of it gathering back on my freshly blown driveway as I type. Be glad to point the snout of Johnny's blower your way and send it home where it belongs
  14. Been wondering the same thing Snipe,, I know him and Skidder were really close, hey @Skid, got anything you can share?
  15. You rootin tootin lead tossin lop eared shootin varmint VR club memberin brothers (and sisters) of mine GOTTA check this out... They got Blunderbuss's and EVERYTHING:guitarist 2: American history unfolds right before our eyes!! Hey @Condor,, I know you will LOVE this!! https://cwocauctions.proxibid.com/Carol-Watson-s-Orange-Coast-Auctions/Antique-Modern-Firearms-Edged-Weapons-Auction/event-catalog/157413
  16. Do you REALLY expect us to go there Sky .. Well,, ok,, if I must,, after all, once upon a time, in a galaxy farrrr away, we were all youngens.
  17. Well,, I can't speak for @Condor but I kinda sorta think he was just and admiring the purdiness of that concrete work.. I only say that cause me and Jack got some similar taste in beauty (having been around him and motorcycles and such proved that) and I gotta say,, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIM!! NICE PIECE OF CONCRETE WORK RIGHT THERE = definitey PURDY!!
  18. @videoarizona (and any other lop eared shootin varmints who may be following this thread), my AR build is coming along nicely. Still waiting on a couple things to finish er off (bipod, sling and such) but one cant rush a build. Until today I had not received my "test" ammo so the only thing fired thru it has been some cheap 22lr Ammo (just HAD to test the CMMG drop in 22lr Bolt Carrier Group). As shown in the pic's, the Cantalever scope mount (with built in bubble level - spared no expense - that mount costed my 8 whole dollars off Ebay ) came in yesterday and WOWZY WOW WOW,, very impressive IMHO. The UPS guy dropped off my test Ammo this morning so now all I am waiting on to go out and bench it is for @Flyinfool to aim those nasty nozzles back to the west to help fill those resevoirs in California. We got 5 more inches of fresh Wisconsin White Wash last night so instead of playing with my shooter,, I gotta go see if Johnny wants to play in the powder.. Any body wanna take a shot on which, if any, of this ammo will prove accurate? I did win an auction auction recently on Gunbroker for 1k of new 62 grain military spec (ss109 penetrator) for 19 cents a round (CHEAP) that will also be competing in the shoot out but it will be a while before it gets here. My AR's barrel is 16 inch, Wylde chambered with 1:7 twist (figured if it was good enough for our :usa:military shooters that twist rate is good enough for my play). Life in the freezin :cold:fast lane .. Puc
  19. I am with VAz Cha,, here is what I been runnin.. CHEAP and work great!!
  20. TOTALLY MISSED THIS ONE!! Tip and I must of been lost somewhere out CTFW or something, my bad.. Sorry to hear about your friends passing Bay!! Prayers Up for his family!! If there is one thing that life on the road on a motorcycle has taught me it is that right, wrong or indifferent - no matter who is a fault in a car/motorcycle accident - the biker ALWAYS looses and this is all another case in point. RIP Bay's friend.
  21. Yep,, gotta agree with ya brother,, them years pass us by like a teeny little motored 74 inch Mk1 1st Gen Yamaha Venture passin an 80 inch 2nd Gen or a 113 inch 3rd Gen and, like watching those much slower scoots disappear in the mirrors,, those days have long disappeared in the rear view mirrors of life... Them was great days though my good friend!!
  22. From my vantage point after having done everything from brake jobs to engine rebuilds outside in the winter time what you have going there is a DREAM COME TRUE Cha!! Given, I am talking about years ago before I was married, had a family and added on my first garage so Tippy could pull the van in during the winter months, I still clearly remember those days and would relive them again in a heartbeat!! I might add to this discussion that a decent 170k BTU kerosene flame thrower REALLY works nice if ya gotta do any of that type of thing by just tossing tarp over the car and making sort of lean to out of it to catch some heat, even in sub zero temps! Even i for garage work it only takes a few minutes of run time with the garage door open enough to clear the backside of the torpedo sticking out it to bring the whole garage up to summer time tempt then ya shut it off, close the door and go to work. Work in CarHarts and by the time you noticed its gotten to cold it will be dinner time.. Now all that means NOTHING if this is all about affordability. BELIEVE ME,, I UNDERSTAND THAT TOO!! In that case, you gotta do what cha gotta do brother!! Grab one of those little propane units, maybe put a house fan or two around to move some air,,, even staple some cheap tarps or plastic to those rafters to hold the heat in if its to cold.. What ever it takes to get that scoot ready for spring because, as you and I both know,,, we got FlyinFool and his infernal machine on the ropes and SPRING IS COMING:biker:!! In the end ya gotta remember,,, if your fingers fall off cause of frost bite ya got while rebuilding your scoot - they aint gonna do ya no good for clutch pullin or throttle twistin come summer!!! Get the one ya can afford and get er done Cha, THAT is what I would do!!!
  23. Taint nuthin cuter then a Tri-Colored Beagle Pup I tell ya.. Right there with you Jeff,,,,,, wish I could say the same thing about not having had a couple deer runners though,,, man I hated that...
  24. ,, WOWZY WOW WOW WOW!!! Sky,,,, THAT is AWESOME!!! Till now, I dont think I even know nobody famous,,, PLEASE tell your Son that "Uncle Puc" said = OUTSTANDING and CONGRATULATIONS ON A JOB WELL DONE YOUNG MAN!!!! :clap2::clap2::dancefool:
  25. Nothing different septin your on that lop eared varmints back when he decides to head for the highlands at warp speed, like a gun shy rabbit dog on steroids Seriously though Sly,, never looked at it from that perspective,, and I owned and operated MANY rabbit and bird dogs thru the years.. Thru the several really good hounds I had and the few bird dogs that chased up Patridge and Pheasants for me I never did end up with one that was gun shy = seeing your point here,, I am sure horses would be along the same line.. Not to change the subject but I still am VERY careful around horses when crossing their paths while biking. Many years ago as a kid I startled one once when coming over hill top in the woods. The rider almost got tossed. Ever since that time, when out on my dirt bike working up a sweat on our State Lands = if I came across people on horses I would nail the kill button and coast past em with lots of room between us.. That is a LOT of animal to startle.
