Rock solid Raggy,, 100% rock solid. Been out running around and putting some fixing on the whole mess. Sent the email over to my FFL late last night, waited to hear back from about why they would tell the seller (who is also an FFL) he needed to obtain my personal info. Heard nothing by 10am so I made a quick journey over to the shop (about 6 miles away,, GREAT folks too,, 20 bucks to do the background = hand guns included). Walked in the door, asked for Jim (owner), got informed that Jim and fam were on vacation = TAHHHHH DAHHH.. Talked to one of the employees (who admitted to nothing when asked if he was the one who started the "you have to send a copy of your DL to the seller routine) about what was going on,, his response was that maybe in Louisianna they have that requirement. I gently corrected him and reminded him that the seller said they (my local ship to FFL) had requested it of him, not the other way around. Under my asking to correct the whole issue (did not want to have to wait till next week for the owner to get in), I asked if he would call the selling FFL and straighten it out, reminding him a couple of times that the flow of transfer goes like this: The gun is transfered FFL to FFL, the receiving FFL is the one respondsible for what happens to the gun once it gets in his hands (this would be my local FFL in this case). Then, after receiving the gun, the receiving FFL does the background check (which Jim, the owner has done in my case several times) and, if it clears, the gun is transfered into the buyers name (me).. Once he got that clear, he made the call,, no answer,, left a message.. When I got home there was a message in email from the seller saying we were all set and he would be shipping my 7.62 NATO AR out tomorrow. The seller sounds like an AWESOME guy, here is link to his Face Book page,, WAYYYYY COOL STUFF HE HAS GOING ON AND OL PUCSTER TOLD HIM SO!! https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=KA%20Tactical&epa=SEARCH_BOX

Google is our friend: An air rifle scope is special because it can withstand the unique vibration and double recoil of an air rifle. NEVER PUT A FIREARM SCOPE ON AN AIR RIFLE. Now, the reason people enjoy having scopes on their air rifles is because it will help you achieve the pinpoint accuracy that air rifles are known for. So, let’s take a look at the two different kinds of scopes starting with fixed air rifle scopes. https://www.airgundepot.com/air-rifle-scopes-overview.html

We're a good bunch of varmints,, a little jittery and rough around edges at times BUT,, we got big hearts,,, at least I do,,, just ask me, I can vouch for me I gotta admit though,,, sometimes when hanging out in the club house here,, I do feel like I am living in an episode of the Red Green show ... Quando omni flunkus, moritati. (Translation: When all else fails, play dead) -
Cheap way to have fun with a 7.62x51?? https://www.ammoboard.com/rifle-ammo/7-62x51mm-nato/dag-7-62x51mm-srt-10grain-plastic-training-ammo-1000-rounds/

That is exactly the reason why I did not just send the Pic's of my DL to the seller late last night. I am REALLY excited about getting the new shooter but not excited enough to send that kind of info out over the internet. With all the scamming and other issues I have seen and experienced by having even a little of my personal info out there,,, I am more than a little skidderish about doing so... Can't be to careful these days it seems,, IMHO of course..

I fooled (no pun intended,,, take that back,,, ALL pun's intended ) around with pellet guns and real ones and mixing hardware for em up for years and gotta say,, what you and Leopold are saying here is SPOT ON!! I always thought it was ironic that a little 500 fps break open pellet gun could send the cross hairs of a scope that was mounted on my 22-250 to the bottom of the retical.. Never made sense but I can verify, it can and does happen..... POOF Another point on the "kick" of a BB gun. When I was young Puc and proud that I could handle the punch of my Dad's 12 gauge, the thought occurred to my overly curious brain as to whether or not my sissy lil Crosman 760 had any form of punch to it.. Curiousity got the best of me so after pumpin er up with 10 pumps, I stuck the shooter against my upper lip and pulled the trigger (good thing it wasnt a Spring Air,, probably woulda knocked out my front teeth). Walking around elementry school with great big swollen fat lip for a couple weeks wasn't that bad,,, all my buddies thought I had gotten into a fit with a guy 2 years older than I,,,, wonder where they got that idea
-
THAT was exactly my first thought. Although he (my FFL) has never required it before, it is entirely possible that this is the case and I have a question asking that (almost verbatim) out to him right now (his shop dont open for another hour so it will be at least that long before I hear back). I just did not want to send "front and back" photos of my DL out into cyber world late last night without knowing my butt was covered too.. You are more likely than not SPOT ON 40!

HEARING THAT BROTHER!!!! Them Daredevils were Pike killing machines!! Now for Bass, even though I did try those Jitter Bugs and Huliee Poppers numerous times, I was always wayyyy more successful with a good old Dark Purple rubber crawler and the ones with the little yellow spot on the forward part of the their bodies always seemed to work xtra special !! -
OUTSTANDING!!! Hold on,, I HAVE to go downstairs and take some 's!! Here we go,, for kicks, back in the early 70's I used to ride it 21 miles back and forth to work

Those 2nd Gen riders over in the RSV tech section are going to think I am loony cause I accident posted this over in their section on the first try I have purchased numerous guns online, had them shipped to my local FFL dealership and all went well. My most recent purchase is an AR-10 (my 556 AR15 was already getting homesick for his big brother 7.62 NATO ) out of Louisiana. The seller in this case has requested that I send copies of front and back of my Drivers License to him, the seller. Normally, the FFL dealership I have the guns shipped to here locally takes a copy of my DL for his files but this is a first for a request for me to send it to the seller. Anyone experience this before?

Just pure opinion on my end,, that's all.. Sort of like I view the whole "your papers please" thought/agenda to be right out of the Socialist/Globalist play book too BUT, consider that as just another one of my opinions too ..

Kind of ironic, the push is on for mandated head protection for those who can think for themselves but millions of the varmints behind such nonsense are also in favor of stickin a surgical tool into the unprotected head of an infant:doh:.. Prayers Up for this great, last bastion of true freedom country of ours. As one by one, the States in this Union make the fight against the Socialist and Globalist attacks against our way of life, one can only hope and pray that God himself (even though there are those among us that would even like to remove "In God We Trust" from our way of life too) steps in and brings a needed revival of America and her majestic beauty.

Speaking of concealed carry, a couple of years ago Tip, Tweeks and I were CTFW across this great land of ours and decided to stop at a Walmart out in Nevada to resupply (thats 2 up biker talk for, Tip wanted to shop for sovieners for the Grandkids in California ). I think this was in Sparks NV if memory serves correctly. So we are walking thru the store,, I said LOOK Tip, there is another one!! She says SURE ENOUGH, HOW COOL IS THAT!! Passed by a couple more and then a young guy and his wife with a little one between em walked by and they too, like the few others we had noticed, both had a handgun hanging on their sides:guitarist 2:. We got into a conversation with the two of them about open carry. They were telling us about a horrible shooting that had takin place out there somewhere and how that incident had sparked (no pun intended) a revival of honoring the 2nd Amendments right to open carry as, apparently, the shooter who took the lives of innocent people on that dreadful day had no competition from the civilians who were not armed and the police were unable to protect them - as I recall, the young man said something along the line of: It was like shooting fish in a barrel for that terrorist. Even though our home state of Michigan is still a free land and clearly allows open carry, I have never experienced that extent of the practice here at home. I know that LOTS of people here carry concealed but I gotta say, the "feel" while shopping in that environment was amazing. Just knowing that the bad guys would have to be blind to not realize that the citizens were no longer dependent on someone with a badge to keep them safe brought about a calmness not seen for a long time IMHO.

Here is an interesting explanation of why, in all cases, the hp curve crosses the torque curve at 5252. Given, this guy being a math guru and not an engine builder/tuner clearly see's no reason why that fact would make a difference to anyone but none the less (unless you change the 1 to 1 ratio's on a dyno chart), 5252 is an absolute.
