I am looking at buying a camper from someone in Janesville. Jerry (Boo) is going to be working with me to look at it and maybe more. Is it true that you dont need or have title for small trailers in Wisconsin? How do you register it without title? Could someone fill in the blanks for me please. There will be no relay needed.....lol...I plan on a roadtrip if this works out.

Good news Dan! Now take minute and make a low bid and buy the lot! Wont have to worry about methheads anymore!

Wow....glad to hear you are banged but not gone! What a shame....take care.

When I got my bike from midnightspook the holderopener thingy was removed. I like it that way..but you do have to use caution as it is possible to push the armrests into the rear speaker housing cracking them. I havent done that.....yet.

Terrible news Boo...but just the same, thanks for letting us know. Dave and I communicated a couple of times when I was going through shipping my bike and getting the trailer. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family.

In a perfect rich persons world...I would have my 89 and my 05 midnight with a camper. I cannot afford both and cannot do the long trips with the 89 anymore. So off to the dark side I went as well. Love the new ride and touring is almost perfect.....the stock seat sucks though! Enjoy yourself Steve....and you will miss the old girl....but you will get over it!

Geez...for a second there I thought ya stole Mike's bike Steve! That is a nice ride....enjoy.

Congrats Ron Let the chroming begin! -
Cassette deck in this day and age! Was a great idea in the early 80's not so much now. Bear at slow speeds.....fixable. Love mine. I have both right now a 1st gen and a 2nd gen. Differant beasts for sure but they do have the same heart.
-
Well, I like my chrome....but that looks pretty good too. Dont think I would do that but it is nice to see the "personal" side of what you've done to your bike.

The bike will seems like a bear at first. Slow speed handling can be worriesome to some riders. Many add levelling links which raises the rear marginally and substantially improves handling. Tip I've learned her to get the bike off the side stand...turn your front wheel to the right while sitting on it and it comes up surprisingly easy! Thats gotta be the best tip so far on that subject! Some previous years have a whine that is a clutch noise that makes some crazy if you got a real whiner. Fixed with a differant clutch through warranty. They are sure nice to ride on the highway with plenty of room for both of you. Get the check book out though...cause the chroming is about to begin!!

I think you are going to have to line it up Wayne and see what parts are resting where. You dont want the engine supporting any weight. I wonder if the hocky puck trick works for these bikes? Also strap it down so it wont fall off while you are wrestling with the pipe etc that has to come off to get at the filter!

Speedy healing for her. Listen and do her excersises! Marilyn will attest to doing those even if they are uncomfortable.
-
Sure glad to hear that you are relatively ok Dennis! That sounds like it was some impact. To "walk" away is something. I am thinking that you are gonna feel it tomorrow though...as the bruises set in.
-
Actually that answer seems typical from a big business. Blame it on "variables" this and that. Me thinks it boils down to pricing set when the dollars was at 50% or close to that. My repairs on my bike cost around 2000 bucks and I know for sure I could have got the parts much much cheaper if ordered from the US. In fact I asked my dealer to order me a clearview tinted shield with a vent because the cost was less than a new shield from Yammy here. He didnt of course because the insurance will only pay for OEM with exception of the foot pegs.

Rod I got two sets cheap (until I paid brokerage fees) from wingthings. I do like em. Yes they can be noisy if not adjusted correctly. If you go headset with no mic then without mods you will not be able to talk on the cb. The set that is on Marilyns has a real creeky mike boom....if she moves the boom then it yells at me loudly, but if it stays still it is fine. You will not get Bose sound quality from them....but for me its good. And I do like having the cb on and usable. BTW I saw you the other day....Sunday maybe?

I guess the only way to look at it James is this.....while it is a pain to wait so long, at least its good to know that they are not settling for second grade stuff. You have the patience of Jobe...good on ya.

Got the okdokey from Marilyn. Looking forward to having a set as my feet bake in the heat! Sorry fellas!
