  1. You do realize who you are talking to right! I tried to get the map printed on here but I am totally useless with that. If someone knows how please do. Google maps from Newnan to Brandon Manitoba. We made a slight deviation to avoid Atlanta as you can see and to avoid some other huge city north of there.
  2. This is the basic route they are taking baring any side trips...but they shouldnt stray too far off. Starting at Newnan Ga. I 20 to Birmingham 65 to Nashville 24 till it meets 57 57 to Mt. Vernon 64 to St. Louis south around St.Louis 61 to Iowa City 380 to Waterloo 27/218 to CharlesCity 27/18 to I 35 35 to Minneapolis 494 to 94 94 to Fargo ND 29 to Grand Forks 2 to Rugby ND 3 to Border Dang thats a long way!
  3. Yes, we should be able to do something. Dang its busy around here but we can pull something off.
  4. Well they are having their last sleep in Canada for a few days. They will be there before long Lewis. The lights.....she won't like em....so I will take em off her hands and put them on my bike so they won't go to waste. Just dont show them to her then she wont have to offend you! I will take care of the delicate part of removal while she sleeps. Very nice....she is going to be thrilled. Monty and Angel they are stopping by....get ready....she doesnt drink beer btw. Lol.
  5. Oh man what a shock and shame! We camped together at internationals twice. Met at various meets. Basically gave our daughter a lap top he won at the Arkansas International. This morning I will have to inform Marilyn and Courtney of this sad time. It will put a damper on their trip south that starts tomorrow (flies out Monday). Wow....I was so looking forward to seeing him again. A true gentleman, that impish glint in the eye...and some stories to tell. Life well lived Don....thanks for sharing part of it with us.
  6. Ain't that the truth! Congrats you two.
  7. saddened, upset, po'd sitting with mouth agape....what else can one say. Most upsetting for everyone most of all your family and yourself I am sure. I have two grills right now, one on the bike and a spare hanging on the wall. Our daughter Courtney still remembers with glee the time you took her for a ride in the hack when we camped at Vogel. She thought the world of you....actually don't get your head too big....she does think the world of all the venturerider.org people we've met! But that was special for her. What does one say....damn.
  8. quOTE=Swifty;766840]I don't believe it! See Todd? Jamie must still be having those wet dreams about owning a 1st Gen since we went and whumped his Goldwinged butt some years ago. And as for Marilyn...well that girl simply needs to keep stepping up the power so she can ride like Cowboy and I showed her. She's left Sarges in the dust a long time ago. Good on her.
  9. Our thoughts are with the Good Pastor! Heal well and quickly!
  10. I hear ya Dave!
  11. Aww Dan! This is bad for sure. We are so sorry for your loss. It's just not fair is it? Take care you have many friends sharing your pain.
  12. me five! Done and good for another year.
  13. Over flow vent. Mine does it too after a long hot run. Make sure you haven't overfilled your oil as this is where it goes if overfilled.
  14. Highway 2 can be nuts as well especially west or Bismarck towards Williston etc. We stayed in Minot Saturday night and had no problem booking a hotel that day from Bismarck airport. Book ahead would be the best advice and that can be done so easy now a days.
  15. I've had two pair do this (a little worse actually) and my buddy Gord also had a couple pair doing it. We changed brands as we just couldnt afford to change tires every spring. The local dealer said it was up to me but he wouldn't ride with the tire like that. Thats was enough for me.
  16. Thoughts are with you and yours Bill!
  17. All the best for a full recovery. Sounds nasty....thank goodness for good gear!
  18. You really should contact Big Bob on this site. He owned one. Loved it then hated it. Do contact him. He got rid of it and went traditional trike and is one happy camper now.
  19. I hear ya Dan!! That sure is purdy aint it!!
  20. We have a Rolla-Home and like it a lot. At the time of buying this is what we needed or wanted because the add a room came with flooring. We needed an add a room for the kids. Now the bunkhouse and Aspen add a rooms come with floors. Having owned a bunkhouse before the rolla home I would return to either bunkhouse or aspen. They are great. For us there is too much set up involved with the leisure lite or that one that you have shown. Mind you the rolla home is nice too but it does take longer to set up than either of the other two.
  21. Congrats Frank! Finally eh.....thanks for your service and enjoy the well deserved get away from it all. Remember though, once you start to collect old age they claw back some of that hard earned pension! Best to keep the boss workin!!
  22. Happy Birthday Don. We all hope that it was a good one!
  23. Very nice Larry. Congrats!
  24. Mine would be the Teen Burger and root beer at A+W. I have always loved that unique taste their burgers have.
  25. Another thought came to me last night. Make sure to get a good CB system on her bike and then you can communicate with each other. It sure helps. The one sold at sierra electronics that mounts on the handle bars is a good one.
