Wandered around again! 340 miles through a big curvy roadbed national park. We rode highway270 for most of the day. Splashes of rain but mostly we went around the storms. Currently camped in McAlester OK. Valley Inn motel and campground. Me thinks the twisties are done for awhile though! Oh ya... campground = trains! Arghh:bighug:

We feel bad that you didn't get to ride the Blue Ridge, but you likely wouldn't have enjoyed it much with the rain. We did get about 20 miles on the Natchez Trace yesterday. Now that would be a ride to do all the way down.

Someone from the rally asked us to make a little log of our journey as we take the really long way home. Today with Marilyn's superb navigation skills we rode 380 miles. We went south then west then north then west! What! Ah, she was dodging rain and storms! After all that we are in Brinkly Arizona. Booked in to the motel 6. It started raining as we were booking in! Beautiful roads today a little slab but not bad! Going eat right away. Best news (except for Grandma Marilyn) new grand baby arrived 20 days early. Couldn't wait for us to get home the little rascal! 8 lbs 4 oz not bad for early riser! Poor Marilyn wants to go home now! We hope everyone is well and safe on their journey home.

I took the left front signal light off. Taped the wires seperately and put it back together. 100 miles later it's still working. It's not a perfect fix but for now it will do. Thanks for all the tips I tried them all I think! Monty we are in southern Illinois enjoying some scenic roads heading your direction. See you both tomorrow.

Got things working for a bit. Went out again. But narrowed it down to wires on passing light bar. Going to dig in this evening.

Again we stopped and set up went to eat and came back in the dark! I promise to check those bulbs in the morning! Long day today after abusing my body last night! By the time I got done my shower Marilyn had the camper down and hooked up!

Yes it's about 8 hours that includes lunch break.

There is 4 of us in Brandon and we leave Friday morning. Bigbob has been known to come to our place the night before and head out with us. I am not sure if he is doing that this year.

Lmao while saying huh! I will check those by eye in the morning! Actually managed to hook up with Tom and Terry. Fed watered and camp set up! Having an adult beverage now! OK maybe more than one.

Nope we had a smidgen at the start of the day. We beat everything else by 15 minutes or so. So we didn't get caught at all really.

Didn't try that. We are having a bite to eat and I will have a look. We are going to roll with no signal lights for now. Going to try and get 300 miles closer! Got 400 yesterday. Heading for rain though. This stuff makes me nuts! And I sure appreciate the help. Can't really call as we only have 40 minutes of call time with our plan. Text we can do. Once we leave here I will lose internet on the tablet until the next hot spot.

Would disconnecting the trailer do the same thing. Because I did that and the bike still doesn't work. Is there a relay or something for signal lights?

OK, first thanks all! Changed 15 amp signal fuse as it was gone. Dash,brake lights are back. Good so far, but no signal lights. There is load going somewhere as the lights dim off and on in time like a blinker. Ground? Where? Would a trailer isolater going bad do this?

Lol that's what we did the last twenty miles! This started when I shut down to fuel up.

Shoot! You see the weather out here! We were under severe watch. Winds are close to 80 mph! We got lucky and made it just south of the tornado warning area! On I 29 and can see the south Dakota border. Hotel is called Dakota Magic. Repairs are going to have to wait until the AM. Thanks for the tips. Weird things huh. Headlights,taillights and lights to camper work (just not brake signal either)
