I too, would have a 1st gen if I could afford the 1400 dollars a year insurance. I love those bikes. Another thing Charlie, the knees were getting to me and I couldn't get comfortable on long rides anymore. I test rode a 2nd gen before getting my 1 st gen and loved the feel. Couldnt afford it at the time...but always knew I would have one eventually.

Sorry to hear that Charlie. You need to encourage your neighbor to get himself a new dog so you can spoil it!

So does my 07 and my 05 prior to that.

Fairing Dampers and Risers
sarges46 replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yeppers. They rest on the fairing and on the handlebars right beside the where the bars are mounted. Mine are just jammed in there as well. Seems to work good and you have to look to see that they are not quit right. -
Yeah to the docs and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Charlene!

Excellent news. Keep him in line Char

I cant see why that wouldnt work. You would likely need to the longest "stick" they have. We have our drink holders for the passenger mounted on the the grab bar by the seat.

I have had two sets now. One on the midnight...no problems with that one. My current bike I had a heck of a time cause the throttle was binding all the time when the wheel was turned. Had to reroute the cable to in between the front fork. Looks a little goofy if you are looking for it and know better. But it works fine until I decide to spring for longer cables. -
Who will / will not allow their kids to have a motorcycle?
sarges46 replied to Sunrayman's topic in Watering Hole
Yes, both can get bikes if they want to. I will a nervous wreck all the time but hopefully Marilyn and I have taught them to ride safely. I know I constantly talk to my son when we are riding and I explain differant scenarios and what to expect each time. -
I found this for you to check out. http://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-Motorcycle-Mt-StreetPilot-261026202720-P224.aspx Sounds like the right thing to me. Edit.....oops looks like wizard beat me and at a better price too. If you search his site listed there is a part with only the cable for 28 bucks. But to me the extra cradle and all is well worth the 6 bucks more.

Thats what you said to me!

Not a bad price for Canada. http://www.gpscity.ca/gilsson-18-pin-bare-wire-power-cable.html I received this one and my new Nuvi 755t plus a RAM in about 2 days!! Great service for this firm.

Our kids love to hear those big horns! Even at 13 and 16! Gary that guy probably hung back cause he was afraid you would smell his shorts if he was ahead of you! We sure are glad of the result.

Good luck! All the best in your recovery!

All the best Karl!

Wishing you guys the best. A friend here recently retired from biking as his wife couldnt/wouldnt do it anymore. They bought themselves a Miata and are having a ball! They tour all over the place with that thing. He misses biking but they have found a new thing that they both enjoy together...thats whats important isnt it?

Ram for everything! They might be a little more but well worth it all the way! They usually have a solution for anything you can throw at them.

I've seen the kit in action at the PIP a couple of years ago. It worked fine but like mentioned you have to watch getting the rear wheel in a rut. That price is very good for a Canadian price tag. If it is the same bike as on ebay then its still not bad...after conversion to US dollars and paying for the trip to get it, Registry of Import costs (200 or so) and then both taxes...you get my drift.

cruise control problem on 05 RSTD
sarges46 replied to truckin48's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
My bud who bought my midnight had this happen. He went to the dealer in Rapid City SD and it turned out to be the little spring in the switch was turned sideways. Warranty work fixed it no problem. The guys where great there as well says my bud. -
