Nice...thanks for sharing that with us. We in the frozen wasteland of the prairies wont see the open road for at least another month and a half...more likely more.

MEGA GROUP HUG! Ok we can wait until July! Tis a great site and has been since the beginning.
-
I am not sure if this is the right place...but here goes. When we were at the ralley in 07 at Fort Collins a couple of us needed new tires. The only place that would do them was the Suzuki dealer there. They were great and quick. Now Squidly organized this and he might have the right answer if I am wrong....which happens the odd time!

Sorry to hear this. Craig helped me alot with my bike in Kitchner during the international there. I had pinched wiring in my driving lights and he assisted me fix the thing. I hope this is not a bad one and he gets well soon.
-
I pull a rolla home camper and have pulled a piggy backer. Marilyn pulls the piggy backer with her 1100 vstar...no issues whats so ever. Rocket just got himself a aluma and reported to me that it is great. I would think that all the trailers made for bikes are ok. It comes to pocket book and what you like.

I think that is only the second time I have heard of a major engine failure of these great bikes. Of course you must have done something wrong! Maybe the dealer might try that line with you...but really it should be covered. And it looks like you had an impromptu venture meet and eat....good things for friends on the road.

so if you buy a US bike and live in Canada you will have to get the work done in the US. The warranty is still good down there but you might have a little bit of a problem finding a dealer to work on it in the US. If you go to the Yamaha Canada sight and pull up the RSV....the warranty is listed right there as a major selling point. (US site as well).

Glad that things went well for you Steve. We look forward to seeing you again someday.

Kevin I have checked my stuff and I dont have the rear reflector for the trunk. What I have is two side ones for the 86 and up saddlebags.
-
Kevin I think I have that reflector somewhere. It will cost you nothing but making a donation for the cost of shipping to the out of pocket fund for this group. Let me find it and I will PM you. Gotta get some sleep first.
-
Nice camper Monty! No more sleeping on the ground eh.
-
have the wide rolla-home. Some have seen it at the international in Indiana and we had it at Pork in the Pines. This thing is heavy probably close to 360 when totally loaded. It pulls like a dream though and sets up fairly quick. It has the features of the leisure lite for set up...floor off the ground. And the basement and wide bed like the trailmaster or bunkhouse. We like it.

Is J&M The Cheapest for CB Setup
sarges46 replied to Aussie Annie's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
Happy new key board and you guys are bad! She would never do that to sweet little ole me! If she decided to...they would never find my body! Annie....the ad on cb from J+M uses a 6 pin cable. You can get what ever you want from them. I got that set up for Marilyns bike and two cables that start as 6 pin and then turn into the 5 at the headset. Those are gone now and we have edsets for the girls. A stock venture cb.... either 1st gen or 2nd gen uses the 5 pin at the plug in. The newer headsets from J+M use a 6 or more pin at the helmet end but you can get the cord you need (example 5 pin to 6 pin) by just scrolling down and clicking which cable you need. Sierra site has it all as a bundle now for the ad on cb which bumps or appears to bump the price up. But really it doesnt as you needed all the mounts and antenea anyway. The ad on cb us a good system as you can plug in your I-pod or similar device and listen to tunes as you ride as well. Personally...if it were me buying another....I would always get the dual set. To me it would be easier to sell later as it has the passenger intercom portion which is more attractive for those on the tour deluxe type model bike. But..you know what they say about opinions.....like butts...everyone has one.....some are just stinkier than others! -

SierraElectronics is the cheapest with that setup you will be able to talk with the rest of us keyboard busted hence the funny writing! -
Here might be another option Gary. Ship it to the spot I pick up stuff just across the line. I pick it up for you and get it to Wpg sometime this winter! Or ship it to the border services just across the line from Emerson and you skip down and bring it back. You will pay gst and pst either way.but not the extra shipping cost. Here is the link for the one south of Emerson. Its in Pembina http://www.pembinaparcel.com/ I am making a trip down to our pick-up early next week. Wed or so. Or, just let Mike do it and you've made another friend and have a good excuse to go visit!

Thanks guys. Thanks for the tip Celt, I usually send my stuff to the border services just across the line. I got burnt bad one time sending it UPS....brokerage fees were more than the item cost! Russell...PM sent.

Is there any left in the US??? Nothing here in Canada...it sells right out of the shipping crate it seems! If I could get my hands on one for a Christmas gift for the kids it would be great. The ebay ones are way way out of what the stores are selling them. 149 is the usual cost at best buy etc. We are currently stalking EB games here in town but they never seem to get that shipment in when they say they will get it!

Nice looking rig and a decent price. Congrats to you. -
I know you said you didnt like the Nissan...but if I had the money and needed to get a truck this is the one I would get. I have taken a few out for a spin...Fords are nice....Nissan was the best. Its hard to even find a used one around here...they just dont come up for sale very often so that must say something.

Thats cool! Thanks for the tip!

You're welcome Ken! What is even more amazing was that I guessed the right thing!
