ANNNND your point is???

All the best with that Steve. It sounds simple but I know myself I couldnt help but worry a little if it were me. A little time off is always good anyway!

Sierra Electronics have many types. Edsets Wingstuff has some great prices for "older" 5 pin headsets and cables.

My Marilyn was alot like that as well. She rode twice with me on journeys. Once was to the first "International" in Potatoe Creek in 05. After that trip I knew that she would not be with me again. She too needed to be in control and is basically an Alpha female. We got her a bike and she is happy as a clam. She had to ride once more with me on a longish trip but that was because she couldnt ride because of knee surgery. Those that know her know she can ride, fixes stuff herself, carb tunes my bike for me ( yes, fellas its true!). When she got her bike I made her learn how to work on her bike so she wouldnt have to depend on me if I wasnt around. There are a few other things she is very good at as well....but we wont get into that.

Aww thats sad. Nice long lives for those two...good memories I am sure.

I will break out the snow shovel again...perhaps look for a ski-doo and sell the bike! Summer is not coming to the prairies this year. Winter storm warning in effect for our area. Man..this sucks. Now my pity party is over. My thoughts are still with our friends and their families who have to deal with that nasty nasty weather south.

and remember well the day I duck walked the dragon! I scared the bejesus outta myself in one split second. I took my eyes off the road to catch a peek in my mirror at what was behind me....in that moment, and it was very brief...I found myself over the line in a blind curve! I cranked her over and got to proper side and it took a bit to settle myself down after that! The place is fun but one sure cant afford to loose thier concentration even for a moment. Thankfully there was nothing coming.

We are glad that she is going to be alright! That sucks for sure but as long as she is walking and talking the other things will be taken care of. Heal well and fast!

Deb I would at least get the memphis shade and oil filter relocation kit. Marilyns bike has both and the relocation kit probably is the best thing I got for her. Oil and filter changes are a snap and the kit takes the same filter as our RSV (at least the walmart one).

You will quickly learn to love it. Marilyn has gone exactly the route you are now going. She started with a 1000 Virago and moved up to the 1100 vstar. She liked her virago but loves her vstar! And she is not much taller than smurf but handles that thing very well. Congrats...they are a sharp bike.

Follow the link if it works. 25 bucks made for the seat and black. http://wingstuff.com/pgroup_detail/6_add_on/22902_oversize_beaded_seat_cover_fits_goldwings_large/?from_search=beaded%20%20seat

Thanks John, I will try there. And thanks for the tips all. Dan, I truly dont give a rats butt what is going on in the joint....the only thing I worry about now is Marilyn and she knows how to handle herself and stay out of trouble. Its a rats nest now glad to be gone. Driving a school bus is much more serene!

I was given a little cash from my ex co-workers for my retirement...the caviet was I must buy bike stuff! Tough crowd but I see more chrome and such in my bikes future. I was wondering if anyone has the harley rear lighting system laying around. I know Buckeye has some listed. Right now I am not interested in full price items unless I have to ( cheaper means more stuff right). So far I have bought a new tire and a new pair of mesh type pants I have been after but too cheap to buy myself. Got em from Motorcycle Gear through the link so we should get some credit. Thanks all.

This is probably the worst a parent ever wants to contend with. They will always feel guilty.....no matter what. Poor kid....to be so sad. Our thoughts go with you and your family Annie. All the best.
