  1. Here is a short clip filmed iPhone to iPhone but you can see the stability. VentureFar... l video doesn’t seem to work in my iPhone. If it doesn’t then “sorry” as I can’t do any better just with my iPhones. Oh well you will just have to trust me :-) EB0593B8-6C36-4115-91ED-EAB0563F9718.MOV
  2. Ok I have the answers @videoarizona the video quality is excellent. The is very minimal vibration that I can see on my iPhone. The mount didn’t budge a bit after I locked into it with a pair of channel locks. Looks like it will record about 7 hours before recording over on 32 gigs. I realized I mounted it too high and didn’t actually need the 2 “ riser so I took it out. The camera now just clears the windshield and is out of my direct field of view. I would love to post some of the video but I haven’t figured out how to transfer it out of the application. If I was near a laptop I could pull it off the camera directly. I have two iPhones and I will try to take a video of the video and post. VentureFar...
  3. I went with HH pads on the front of my Gen 2 and I feel it stops shorter. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ok this will be easier to answer than you want. I don’t know. I haven’t ridden with it placed there yet. I don’t know the video quality while riding’l yet. I don’t know if the wind will push it too hard yet. It has “anti shake” built in but I don’t know how well it will work. And. Don’t know which video quality to select yet but this for evidence not necessarily for entertainment. I bought it to be a dash cam. Sorry for the answers but I will have better answers when I get back at the end of next week Hang in there with me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The purpose is continuous record not ride video. Although it takes 3 minute files and writes over them when full. I can wifi a clip to my phone if I want to keep it. Unit is still new to me. All discovery. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ha your shortest question first. Vxwholesale.com 25 watt cannons.i can see to stop on a pitch black highway at 75mph. You can play tennis at night in front of these things. I love them. I have the right family fixed to point just right of my centerline and the left I leave a little loose so I can adjust it depending on the conditions. I have two 10w down low on the fender mounts to light up right in front of the bike when I have on coming traffic and need to turn the flame throwers off. I feel blind. VentureFar... 7. I found the odvrm mini cam on Amazon and bought a mirror stalk mount also. This camera comes with a waterproof case that I cut a hole in for the power cord. I mounted it off the top of my ram mount. It has a continuous loop mode. Instructions were weak but with help I got it all figured out. At least we will have a video of the moose that steps in front of me (sure hope not) I will report on it when I get back. Going to do Chief Joseph Highway and beartooth highway this coming Monday. 8. That’s true. But the women’s 3.0 is still available online. With the 3 jackets- inner fleece, mesh jacket and outer rainproof. But the airflow design is totally different than the man’ version. My wife is still wearing her original women’s alter ego that we bought in 2005. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I stopped hard core single track type rising on my Honda xr250 when I was 62. I stopped because kick starting a flooded xr250 in 85 degree heat at 6000 feet altitude kicked my butt one too many times. If I would have had an electric start I would still be “single tracking” at 66. The muscles you use in the dirt require building up I don’t know if you know this but dirt bike riding in anything technical you should be standing the whole time. VentureFar... 10. The “rain liner” is rhe high viz outer jacket. That is what makes it so great. You stay dry and the outer jacket is waterproof so it stays dry too. I am 5 10” 190 and the large is perfect. Has room for warm under gear or comfortable with just a wick away t shirt under. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. My front shocks are stock. I have hit plenty of pot holes Hasn’t hit yet that I know of. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The nice folks at ultimatemotorcycling.com blessed me with a new jacket and I love it. FYI for me it is a 4 season jacket. I have ridden my version 3 at 28 degrees and I was warm and dry. Here is my ride report - I welcome your comments https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/06/29/joe-rocket-alter-ego-4-1-jacket-review-good-for-70000-miles-like-original/ VentureFar... 13. I think you are paranoid on this. I have had these lights located here for at least 15,000 miles. I have hit my share of pot holes and never touched. I did First mount them on flat iron stand offs. Think blade of a butter knife. It moved them for forward about 2.5 inches. I didn’t like the way they looked and mounted them direct. You could use a flat “blade” down 2 inches. That would take them away also. See my pix. I out a tape measure in the background. 15000 miles never hit the deflectors. VentureFar... 14. I haven’t seen your mounting brackets that make your lights up so high to hit the deflectors. But what about using an angle bracket ( shelf bracket) to move the lights outward away from the fender ?? VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Short answer is directly. If you zoom in you can see the mounting brackets that came with the LEDs They are bolted directly to the fender mount with a longer bolt. I used a piece of bicycle inner tube as a washer to not have metal to metal. Use a hex head bolt and not an Allen head. That way you can reach in with an open end to adjust them. I have them pointing fairly close to front of the bike. I mounted them there because in Sturgis as night on the two lane roads you have to dim all the other lights- low headlight and turn off the spots mounted up high as a fellow biker goes by in the opposite direction. At that time I am totally riding in darkness so lighting up the road directly in front of My bike gives me some visibility of Road. Down low you can’t get much usable light out too far. That is why I have the spots up high. I could light up a tennis court. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Nope not at all. Just stating the obvious. It is fascinating to see all the different things the infotainment will do and can be mesmerizing. I know, I was messing with it a lot on both my Death Valley 570 mile ride and my Iron Butt attempt ride. Do as I say, not as I do/did...... VentureFar...
  17. I implore you to NOT MESS WITH THE INFOTAINMENT CENTER WHILE RIDING! It is very distracting and is not necessarily intuitive and you will crash. If you want to change a function and didn't figure out how to do it before you ride, pull over and figure it out. That is not the reason to buy the bike anyway. You will have plenty of time sitting in your garage to work out all the functions. Please..... VentureFar...safely
  18. Yup. There it is - old guy memory. CRS...
  19. Something i fogot to mention. The eluder has a mini windscreen where the air was hitting me square in the eyeballs. The TC has an adjustable taller screen that is great! changing modes is a putting push with your left hand. It is labeled clearly. VentureFar...
  20. Yes the Eluder and the TC have identical ride characteristics. I rode and reported on a 500 mile Saturday Eluder ride and a 700 mile ride the next weekend on the TC There are more bells and whistles on the TC but you will get to know the characteristics. Engine. Braking turning etc. word to the wise: the rev limiter is set so that you need to quick shift 1st 2nd and 3rd. You’ll see :-) VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Hi all My best friends ever besides my Brother @cowpuc at ultimatemotorcycling.com handed me a set of Pirelli MT66 tires. How cool is that! This is my ride report that they published. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/06/18/pirelli-mt-66-route-tire-review-an-oldie-but-goodie/ Let me know what you think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I put mine here. Seems to work just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Would be $90 for the two if off the bike and $140 on. I am still convinced to pay the $140. A tip over can cost me that in lights and mirror replacement.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Puc this is just about the funniest thing I have ever heard: BUT make sure you take the keys out of the car if you use this method so that precious bride of yours doesnt head in to town for grocerys and find herself being followed closely by your bike without you on it ... i am am going to pay the $140, you are very convincing. VentureFar...
  25. My bestest friend in the whole world excepting @cowpuc just gave me a set of Pirelli Route 66 to try on and write a ride report about. Except my local tire shop will charge me $140 to mount them. I don’t have any problem with the mechanics of taking off and putting on but how to secure the bike so it doesn’t tip over? I have a rolling floor jack. How to jack it up but NOT “jack it up “? Thanks for the guidance VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
