You know what happens if you are going 70mph on a down hill freeway off ramp and you go 3 oil changes without swapping the the rear pads? You hit the rear brake and the piston pops loose because there is nothing in front of it and brake fluid sprays all over the tire. Did I mention that the rear break isn’t working and trying to kill at the same time? And I scored the rotor so badly I needed a new one. Now I swap the rear pads every oil change. Lesson learned. Turns out VentureFar's assessment of the 3rd Gen SVTC was SPOT ON!!

Freebird I think you are on to something with leg length. The longer from the foot to the knee the higher the thigh will be from the pipe when feet are in the floorboards. “I am sorry folks but the 3rd gen is for the BIg Boys only ...” VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Bongobobny will you please elucidate on the bypass please. I want to be one of the many of us that carries that gas hose but I want to know him w it hooks up. Thanks VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Make sure to try it on. I used a large in scorpion exo900 and a medium in the Rpha 90. Don’t get a matte color unless you always have clean hands. Safe rides. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey @cowpuc look what my new best friends at UltimateMotorcycling.com bestowed on me. I distinctly heard someone say “you are friends with Puc? Then here is a $450 helmet to share an evaluation for” So here is my story. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2019/04/05/hjc-rpha-90-test-long-distance-modular-motorcycle-helmet/ Spoiler alert. I like this helmet very much and will enjoy it for the next 5 years. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Puc thanks for giving me a shout out. Actually I have paid for my own MSR 1 liter bottles and have been carrying two of them (2 liters) for for 14 years. I upgraded about 5 years ago to the most current model you can see in the photo. They are available online and at REI. They never leak and I lay them flat in my right bag. They do clank together so I put a rage between them. The problem is not spilling when you fill them. There is no way for the air to escape so the bubbling comes out the top and over the sides. I always bring baby wipes with me to the gas station. That gets 95% of the gas smell off. I figure 2 liters will get me about 25 miles down the road at 45 mph. If I miscalculated by more than 25 miles I deserve to walk! VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sure is great to be connected ! The voyager was my second choice after the 2nd gen Venture. Never rode one. But didn’t ride the 2nd gen either before I drove 420 miles to pick it up. My first ride on my Venture was straight 420 miles home getting acclimated to it. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ultimate Motorcycling is checking into getting me one. When they get it I’ll do a 250 mile day combing freeway, twisties and country road type riding. Looking forward to it. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ha too many green beans and quinoa. Sorry folks misread. But it was fun to relive the Death Valley ride on the Eluder. I will put in a request. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Puc. You rang ? I rode the Eluder and the voyager, each one day rides over 500 miles. They are the same bike from the rider’s point of view and looking at both my reviews I talked more about how the Eluder felt as a rider. Here is my report https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/02/07/2018-yamaha-star-eluder-test-death-valley-bust/ Thanks for asking VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Suggesting a blow dryer and not a blow torch to melt the chap stick. Thanks for the tip. When my brand new joe rocket 4.1 and my brand new tourmaster advanced jackets get sticky zippers in a few years I’ll be sure to pull out the chap stick. Most of the time the simple fixes are the best ! Old guys rule! VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found my write up on the joe rocket 4.1 Outer rain and wind protection. Inner open flow mesh. A zip in warmth layer. Here you go. https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2018/06/29/joe-rocket-alter-ego-4-1-jacket-review-good-for-70000-miles-like-original/ VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yes The Joe Rocket 4 jacket. I did a review. I will look for it and post. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Here is the link to my review of the above. I will definitely reach for this jacket anytime it is going to be cool to cold. Comments welcome from @cowpuc [emoji16] https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2019/01/18/tour-master-advanced-jacket-review-rain-ready/ VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey Puck. I’ll call you soonest to catch up. My new BFF just handed me a white HJC RPHA MODULAR helmet to test. It is one full pound lighter than my scorpion 900 modular. Write up will come. I was told he published my jacket write up so I will post it for all later today. Miss you my brother. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also the advanced jacket just has a physically light thermal liner so it is actually a lighter jacket than my joe rocket 3 and 4 which have a thermal liner, mesh jacket and outer shell. I can’t speak to the weight of your jacket. No experience. But this is a very warm jacket. I only had on a long sleeve t shirt and got on the freeway at 50 degrees and full rain. I was actually comfortable and dry with just that t shirt. This jacket truly is what it claims to be. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spec says 32.7. I have 31 inseam and I wasn’t flat footed but comfortable. But I only had my feet down to start out and then stop back in the garage. The editor said it wasn’t super peppy but it was for me being accustomed to 900 pound 2nd gen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My benefactors at Ultimate Motorcycling asked me to test the 3 season Tourmaster Advanced jacket, which I did and in the rain and cold for a good reality test. FYI it is a great winter spring and fall jacket which I will enjoy wearing. They wanted an action shot and so I got a chance to ride the Honda 750 DCT automatic. I was only on it for 4 passes up and down the street but I was really impressed. Including riding the rear brake to make tight u turns on an unfamiliar bike in the rain. Ultimate Motorcycling is going to try to get the the automatic gold wing for me to test ride. I love my new neighbor VentureFar...
