  1. I've never driven one, but it looks like a cool wagon!
  2. And some cars (not sure which ones).
  3. -26F on my way to work this morning.
  4. If the system pumps up to pressure, the compressor is doing its job. Sounds like it may be a leak in the valves that control the air. Pull the trunk off, grab a spray bottle of soapy water and check all the air line connections and solenoids. You may as well pull the drier and change out the desiccant (or dry it out) "while you are in there". If the valves and connections do not leak externally, they may still be leaking by when they are supposed to shut off the air. I don't know if they can be rebuilt, but they should be cleanable.
  5. I replaced both Shinko Tourmaster 230's at 8k, but only the rear was used up. I could have gotten another 4k out of the front (it appeared half depth was gone) but replaced as a set. It was the end of the riding season and I got a deal for ordering a pair of E3's. I started to feel just a little twitch on tar snakes and seams for the last thousand miles. Didn't know if it was from front or back, as I replaced both.
  6. It was the 230 Tourmaster.
  7. This is an E3 on the front of a first gen (6k on the pair). I actually liked the handling of the Shinko better, but not the life (less than 8k on rear and it was gone).
  8. Don't forget a kickstand pad in case you have to (or want to) park on less than stable surfaces.
  9. Packers are in kneel down formation. That settles that one!
  10. It does work. Just the way you described. If you download the manual it shows everything pretty clearly. Hardest for me was getting clearance under the trunk to pull the canister. Not really hard, I just didn't want to do it.
  11. If you take the bike out, keep in mind the roads are full of salt and sand. No fun, really.
  12. Our Monday morning forecast is for 5-8 inches from Sunday night through Monday night. Heavy and wet. The white stuff seems a little early this year. I still need to get a fresh set of carbides on the sled before I can take it out. We can't open the trails until we get them all signed and cleared, anyway (most fields still have crops).
  13. Fool is from Wisconsin, so his favorite brand has got to be "FREE".
  14. Some locals here have been posting photos to the news stations of a moose wandering around the area. Might be time to winterize the scoot if he is anywhere near the roads I travel.
  15. My first street legal scoot was the Suzuki T250 scrambler with high tuned pipes and a six-speed. It topped out over 90mph. It was always a hard decision what kind of tires to get. Usually ended up with the wrong ones, because I couldn't afford the right ones.
  16. So this lighted reflector must be the aftermarket version, correct? It seems like they all should have had the extra turn and tail lights. The extra brake lights are not that bright, though. I will have to fix that this winter.
  17. Try the drain screw to see if the float is filling the bowl. Needle and seat may be stuck.
  18. I took a look at the weather report for tomorrow and decided I needed a day to go get lost in the woods. It's worth a vacation day to just go in no particular direction and ride some roads I haven't ridden before. Not to mention the fall colors hitting their stride. If anyone is looking for me I will be somewhere in the Wisconsin northwoods (2-lanes only). Maybe Saturday will be the boat's turn?
  19. That would look good in BLACK.
  20. Wherever you go... there you are!
  21. I am a firm believer in getting noticed by other drivers. Get as many lights as you can (and still look good, of course).
  22. That can NOT be real. It belongs in a Bond movie!
  23. In Wisconsin the ATV's and such are not registered by the DMV. They are registered by the DNR. Like a boat or snowmobile. Same goes for the title of all off-road vehicles.
  24. Try this link from Sierra electronics. I got the replacement antenna for universal Japanese tourers and it is almost identical to OEM. Only $45. Works good on a first gen. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=AO-GL12-ANT
