  1. Well, Most of you know that theres the 2 types of diabetes. Type I is your insulin dependent, meaning that they need to give themselves shots or are on a pump. Type II is your most common type in which you take a combination of oral medications, diet and exercise. Type II can be controlled mostly by your diet and the exercise .Most common cause is being over weight and your body can't produce enough insulin to keep up with the sugars in the blood stream. Eating a lot of starches /carbs. is the biggest problem since they produce sugar after they are eaten. (but they are Sooooooooooo.... good.)There is no easy answer to this disease because it affect so many other body systems. As far as a cure well since only one organ produces insulin in the body which is your pancreas and there are not many organ donors.Thats why human insulin is made. you need to do your blood sugar test and your hgbA1C every 4 months to see how your meds, diet or exercise is keeping the disease in check. I understand how hard it is to follow all these things since I was diagnosed as a type II diabetic in 1988.

  5. Roadkill, I'll be the first to say go and invest in the Gerbing gloves. I own a pair and never have regreted it .I've had them for over 3 yrs. I owned them and used them while I had my 1st gen. They keep your hands toasty. They make gloves and an insert that works with any glove. Donaldsons and Neihaus carries them. I also bought a jacket liner and I put in my jacket and wear a t shirt under that liner and I'm very warm. Last week it was 24 with wind chiil of 12 I was very comfy.

  7. My local Triumph dealer went to the dealer show in Atlanta, Ga. last weekend and rode it. Said its nice. MSRP is 16,999 U.S. Thats with everything. Cruiser magazine did a first ride review. What I thought was interesting was an 2008 Harley first ride and it showed it with the 2 headlights, like the old Rocket III. I do get to ride the all the demos my dealer gets,so its nice to compare.
