When You Go To Channel 19 Things Like That Happen But Then That Is Why It Is Referred To As The Truckers Channel.but Like You Say There Are A Few That Abuse Things Legal Or Not.that Is Just Part Of Channel 19.in The Early 70s There Were People On All The Channels Most Of The Time At Least The 23 That Were Available Then.but Most Truckers Ended Up On 19 Then Came Everyone Else. Then The Fcc Gave Us 17 More Channels To Play With But Most Stay On 19 With The Truckers What I Am Saying Is You Can Go To Any Channel You Want. But Most Stay On 19 With The Truckers And When You Are There. You Should Understand The Way They Are.to Most It Is A Life You Probally Wont Understand.there Are Idiots There Are Gurus There Are Genius But Most Get Along Even With The Djs And Others Just Part Of 19 But That Leaves 39 Other Channels Were You Probaly Wont Here Any Story Tellers Or Djs. After A Month Now And 4 Front Tires And 2 Rears My Bike Is Now Somewhat Rideable. I Still Have A Small Shake Around 35 To 40 When You Relax The Grip On The Bars But Dealer Claims Yamaha Says That Is Normal Even Though It Did Not Do It Before. I Will Be Swapping Tires To Dunlops Or Avons In The Next Couple Of Weeks Because I Dont Feel Comfortable On These, And The Bike Just Does Not Feel Right.but Dealer Did Install I Basket During This Time Great Change Can Here Radio Now And Seems To Be Much Smoother. Thanks For The Reply But Using That Calculator Even At 4 Watts At Which Most Radios Are Set At. Your Passenger Will Not Be Safe. I Do Find The Calcualtor Intersting Though I Traveled Up And Down And All Around This Coutry. My Radio I Use In My Truck Is A Cobra 29 Tuned And Peaked With A 500 Watt Texas Star And 75 Watt Driver No Telling What Was Going Thru Me At Times. But Never Thought About It Before. Wonder What Damage That Will Do To You? Any Thoughts.i Have Had Some Health Issues Lately And They Wanted To Blame My Body Buildings Days But I Was Always Carefull And Cycled Everything Now I Wonder. Right Set Up 150 Watts Will Get You About 10 To 15 Miles Anytime And Alot More When The Conditions Are Right Have Talked To Other Countrys With Not Much More Than That At Night When You Can Catch Some Skip But Very Un Predictable. Actually Im Just Doing This For Fun Of It And To Be Able To Talk To Some Trucking Friends When I See Them. We Normaly Will Go To A Different Channel And Even Going In Different Direction You Can Still Talk For 5 T0 1o Minutes. A Linear Is Actually Useless Unless The Other Person Has One. I Would Think Probally Half The Trucks Running Up And Down The Road Have One.

I Just Had A Set Of Metzlers Put On Because I Didnt Have A Choice. When They First Put Them I Had Handlebar Shake From About 35 To 48 Mph Now 1 Month Later 4 Front Tires And 2 Rears The Shake Is About Gone What Is Left They Say Yamaha Calls Normal. I Am 6'4 360 Lbs So 1 Up Is Like 2 For Most But The Tires Dont Seem To Handle Very Well At All. They Do Ride Smooth But When Cornering They Just Feel Loose The Dunlops I Had Up To 3000 Miles Did A Great Job And Handled Well. I Am About To Order Another Set Of Tires To Replace These Because I Just Dont Feel Comfortable On These.i Think I Will Probally Go Back To Dunlops. The Ones I Took Off Had Very Little Wear And By Judging I Would Think They Probally Would Go To About 10k I Do Have My Front Dulop 404 With 2983 Miles On It. Someone Can Have For The Ups Charge To Ship It To Them The Rear Also But Has A Small Nail Hole In It (dead Center) Yogi

I Am Going To Try And Install This Weekend The Linear Is A Rm Italy That Has Been Worked They Have A Internal Fuse That Is Only 10 Amps The Max They Draw Are 10 Amps But By Turning Down The Out Put On The Cb To About 1.5 Watts You Have Plenty Of Output Wattage Probally In The 140 To 150 Watt Range.yes You Are Not Suppose To Use Them But Then Again Those Who Say It Is Illegal Dont Speed Or Change Pipes Or Block Off Anything On There Rsv's That Has To Do With Emissions Do They. You Would Be Surprised How Many Are Running Up And Down The Roads. I Have Trucked Half Of My Life And A Linear Is Just Part Of A Cb To Me. Not Used To Iritate Anyone Or Burn Up Some Ones Finals In There Radio Should Be Sitting Next To Them With Enough Power. Just A Way To Communicate A Little Better Only Used When Needed. Yogibear

New Style Electronic Linears Do Not Pull Amps Like The Old Style Linears In Fact Power Wire Is Only 16 Gauge Wire. As For Being Legal, Old Truck Driving Habits Just Dont Die.

did not think to ask about exhaust when you added the K&N's,so i guess i should ask if you had any exhaust upgrades because i have always used the rule of thumb that as long as you are naturally asperated you can not take in more than you can put out and would not need rejetted without exhaust. -

hey ediddy i have the whine in my 07 also but mine is the clutch basket they have one there for my bike already.if they decide yours might also be the basket see if they will use mine and order me another,that way you can get your bike back sooner. if they need to have them call me.i am still trying to resolve my tire issue.so i dont need it anytime soon. you dont happen to know what time that rep will be there do you?that is some one i would like to see.maybe he can tell these guys what is wrong with my bike, in stead of the service manager asking me what to do. yogi

Thanks For The Replies They Have Already Put 2 New Tires On The Front And Rebalanced Them,i Would Not Think It Is A Steer Head Tourqe Problem Because All Was Well Before The Tire Change.but I Will Suggest That To Them. I Bought Metzlers Because That Was All The Had And Did Not Want To Wait While They Ordered Tires Because I Was Supposed To Be Going To Biketober Fest That Friday.had I Known That They Were Not Going To Work On My Bike Until Thursday After They Got It Otuesday I Would Have Ordered Avons And Just Skipped Daytona .thanks For The Help I Will Relay These Suggestion To Them Because They Dont Seem To Know What To Do. :sick:I HAVE 07 VENTURE THAT HAS 3000 MILES ON IT, I PICKED UP A NAIL IN THE REAR DUNLOP 404 AND DECIDED TO REPLACE BOTH TIRES WITH METZLERS, NOW WHEN YOU REACH ABOUT 35 MILES A HOUR I HAVE A WOBBLE. THE WOBBLES STAYS THROUGH 45 MILES A HOUR AND IS REAL BAD ON SLOWING DOWN FROM 45.THE BIKE ALSO JUST DOES NOT FEEL RIGHT AT ANY SPEED. DOES NOT SEEM TO BE THE TIRE AS THE DEALER HAS JUST REPLACED IT AGIAN AFTER ABOUT 15 MILES. HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT TIRE PRESSURES AND FORK PRESSURES. DEALER HAS BASICALLY THREW UP HIS HANDS WANTING ME TO TELL HIM WHAT TO DO.WITH ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS I AM HAVING WITH THIS BIKE I JUST ABOUT READY TO CALL IT TRADED.I HAD NO HANDELING PROBLEMS UNTIL THE TIRE CHANGE. ANY HELP WILL SURE BE APPRECIATED.
