I actually used one this morning.........Cathy and I normally sit out on our front porch and have our morning coffee. I said to her......"It looks like today is going to be a CARBON COPY of yesterday." A story that goes with this.......Just before I retired at work I was over seeing the last weapon destruction I would be involved with. Well, I was training the younger guy who was my replacement and working with the two younger female civilians that were the data input clerks. As we are destroying firearms the checks and balances to insure everything is done properly means all 4 of us have to witness each and every firearm is actually destroyed and then we each sign off on it. Just as we were ready to start the one young lady says, I forgot to make copies of the list and our photocopier is broken. I'll have to run up to the 2nd floor to make copies. (We were in the basement loading dock area.) I said just go in my office and grab a couple of sheet of blank paper and some carbon paper out of my desk, we can make the copies that way, to sign off on. She ask me what carbon paper was?! I said carbon paper you know you put between the paper when your writing to make copies. I had 3 blank faces looking at me, they didn't have a clue. When I say younger, I was 58 and they were early to mid 30's. Even the photocopier, is actually an all in one, printer, scanner, fax and smart machine. You don't really ever use the fax part of it cause you just eMail the document with the smart functions. Nobody faxes anymore....

Interesting! Don't really know if I've heard Iceland's national anthem?! I'll have to check that out.... [h=1]Lofsöngur[/h]

Let's see? I do believe the international convention, in these matters, amongst friendly foreign nations, is for the host nation to play the guest nations national anthem 1st and then the host nation to play theirs. BUT.....this is about being Patriotic......might be interesting to see what would happen if the Canucks all stood up 1st, this being the 150th year of our nations confederation and sang O'Canada!? Might make some ears bleed?! Of course for a crowd of Canadians to make O'Canada sound good, they must have a least a couple of beers in them 1st, for any chance of it sounding half way decent. (I'm sure Saddlebum & I could kill it...and I do mean KILL it!) And this being about getting back to loving your nation.......perhaps rather than playing the Star Spangled Banner how about the Yank's try to show the Canucks how it's done!

Hey Puc there are all kinds of rigs out there for what your talking about. Try checking out Outback camping 4x4 vehicles or trailers on utube you'll find lots of great ideas. (The Ozzie's are nuts about this stuff!) Check this one out that is in Florida, their asking to much but it shows one of the many ideas that are out there. http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/tampa/1967/nissan/patrol-l60-S622.html

Metzeler tires not on a Venture. Just a story.....
The Tooch replied to The Tooch's topic in Watering Hole
Hey Puc I was reading this again and well when I 1st read it I thought you had mixed up what year my RSV was, that you thought it was a 2010. But now I'm thinking, ol "10" was for my Yamaha Tenere?! I guess your smarter than I was giving you credit for and that you remembered my last bike was the TENere. If that is what you meant.....no contest the CTX would out handle the Tenere, until we hit the dirt of course! -
You seen the tires on my bike.....no way I can ride all the way down there on those tires!

The windshield IS stupid and for me the 14" optional Honda tall Windsheild wasn't high enough, I bought a Cee Baily's 18". The weight is all down low on the CTX the gas tank is actually down under the seat. It feels much lighter at a stop and while rolling than a 2nd Gen but I can't say about a 1st Gen. If you have a Bluetooth helmet head set the bike will pair with it. -

For sure the CTX is NO ST kind of like the RSV was NO VMax. -
Rot row rime is running rout! I rot to rigm up.

It's awhile since I played around with an RSV system but I believe the volume control on the left side of the trunk only controls the passenger volume when a headset is plugged into the rear passenger headset jack, not the rear speakers. (I could be wrong?!) You might want to check the settings for the fad balance between the front and rear speakers, the fad may be set up for more volume to come out of the front speakers rather than the rears. You can balance it to your preference front to rear with the controller on the left handle bar. That being said, the 4 inch speakers aren't the best sound either way and I don't think anyone has ever really found a good replacement speaker for them.

I take it your asking if the CTX would run with my old RSV ? When you and I rode together I had my 2005 RSV and I had her dialled in just the way I wanted. Now my 2013 RSV I could never get it to handle right, in fact that thing scared me. It had been lowered by the original owner and then raised back up by the guy I bought it from. Something was amiss and I never could figure it out, in fact the one time I road with Parriehammer he said I rode real slow. Anyways the RSV 2nd Gen and the CTX off the line? I guess the CTX would get off 1st but I'm not sure would stay out front very long. The RSV has longer legs, I think! and pulls like a train the faster it gets. On the tight twisty's the CTX is so much lighter and just flicks back & forth, it would leave the RSV behind. All that said, if I could have my 2005 RSV back the way I had her set up......I loved that bike!
