I have that fuse box upgrade kit that I wont be using. The instructions that came with it were weak and the offered help was even weaker (never got it). A wasted $60. Ya need it? -

Lots of nice bikes there! Since working on momma's bike, I have seen a lot of vintage cafe's that are really nice! There is a lot of originality in many of them. They can easily become an addiction!

Keep it, massage it, stroke it, have a drink and a cigar and cheer it. It will be there waitng for you when you do get back to 2up riding. I have two 7 year olds and a 5 year old. We do find time for two up riding (WHEN IT IS RUNNING, lol) when we need that well deserved break and MiMi takes the kids for a few hours. We will ride to a podunk town, have lunch and then ride back. That is a nice bike you have! Edit: Oh, I forgot to add...you WILL need that focus/freedom time in the garage every once in a while - working on the bike. I still need it, lol.

Glad ya stood yer ground Boomer. Momma knew I had the VR and she knew it wern't goin' anywhere. She accepted it. She would not get on it though. It took a lot of coaxing and a helmet and jacket for Christmas one year. She told everyone "I don't know why he bought me this, I am not getting on it". She got on once for a 1 1/2 hour ride and then she started scheduling rides. Now she owns one. I got lucky in a lot of ways with momma, lol. Sorry you had to let this one go too but ya gotta have yer ride, even if it is aluminum!

So far, I think I only like their cables. If it has got liquid or does something with a liquid, like the syncpro, watch out! The cable luber is a pile of junk too! oh, there we go, another liquid device by motion pro. I got the repair kit for the syncpro but have not tried it yet.

Removing carbs question

I have done my share of cursing getting those cables off and on. Its an easy 30 minutes off and on for me with those cables. I have only touched the junction box once and that was a few weeks ago. I have pulled the carbs of many times. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. Did I mention that I hate them? lol I want a new bike. -
I have had good luck with Skull Candy. I have had bad luck with Bose and they are too expensive.

Since watching the Finale of HBO miniseries of The Pacific recently, this made a very good second Finale to the series. Thanks! All veterans, those who will become veterans and those that are veterans of the kind that did not make it back, I have a great deal of respect for all of you!

New VR Owner Ride Reports

I ran good with a pair of Busa's on one of the Sisters in SouthWest Texas until the twisties started to straighten out, then it was over, lol. I enjoyed that run. Got to slap that whip antenna on the cliff like things in the corners a few times.
