  1. Just a handshake would be good for me! Not good with hugs from dudes!
  2. Try Fastenal for the bolts http://www.fastenal.com/web/locations.ex There look to be a few locations down in your part of texas.
  3. That is a serious amount of miles! I am jealous! I have had mine since '94. I have only put just over 30k, what a shame!
  4. Seafoam and Shell gas, what a wonderful pair!
  5. Gawd, how I know the feelin'! Git her all sparkly and you got take her for a run! Kinda like the ole' lady, lol.
  6. The one trick that helped the most I got from someone about the same weight as JT and shorter. This guy put my bike on the center stand without a sweat. The little teeter from side to side to make sure it is set right on on both legs of the center stand worked like a charm. I finally realized what I was doing that made it so hard for me, I was pulling the bike more toward me and putting more if the weight and effort on one of the legs. That was where the whole problem was with with me. So, lightly teeter it to plant both center stands legs firm, pull up with the saddlebag guard and some from the handlebar. Remember to not pull it towards yourself. The low PSI would prolly help too.
  7. Some time ago i had spilled some brake fluid and it got on my radio. It was interesting to see the buttons eject out of the radio.
  8. I had a set of the VentureLine wings on mine until one broke, so I took them both off. I have only seen them once on Ebay since then (I was outbid). I would love to put them on. Anyone got one that is not broken that is willing to part with it? Curious, do these wings have the same bolt pattern as the VentureLine wings did? I shore don't wanna put more holes in the plastic. These things sure help keep the fairing and lower plastics held together well. Without them, the lower plastics are a little wobbly.
  9. They were all great but the first one had me in tears!
  10. Interesting! Wonder how many people have a fuel leak that they cant find and it is in the same location as yours.
  11. I guess I got Lucky when it comes to that. When I met CCOErika, and started dating for a while, I was one to stand of on the side and check out what was walking around. I did not care to dance all the time. She would get asked to dance, and then come back with a drink for herself and somehow a Bourbon and coke for me. Heh, I didn't care if she danced with someone else, I knew she was coming home with me a and I got a bunch of free drinks. As I could easily put away 13+ plus of those a night, amongst other shots or what ever, I was like, keep dancin' and keep 'em comin'. I guess I was lucky there. She had just turned 23 and I had just turned 33. On account, I do not buy drinks for chiq's. I ain't gettin' any so I ain't payin' any!

  13. I peep in and then chime in once in a while. I watch more than I type now. In a recent post, I read you had paid a very low price for this bike. So, I would expect some issues to arise. Mine cost me $3800 in '94. Glad they let me me make payments to them. And, this thing still asks for more. But that is ok, she does me right! We need to roll these brownies in the Stampede!
  14. Dunno 'bout a made on date but this battery and squids cables have been perfect.
  15. Let me know if that will fit on my trunk. I would dig that on my bike.
  16. I had washed out front springs and a sad set of tires. Then I had progressives and new matching Pirelli's installed. I do not know if that is what woke it up but I always had white knuckles at 80mph. That dreaded high speed oscillation/warble. The solid engine mounts darn near knocked it right out. I still got a little something but the white knuckles are now normal skin color at that speed.
  17. Are Bridgestones normal on Yamaha's? I could swear that Bridgestones were on my '80 XS Eleven Standard before it left the showroom floor. I had them removed and Dunlops put on. I only ran on Dunlops and ContiTwins back then.
  18. I recently did the same thing - squid's brackets and those exact lights. Love the whole thing.
  19. Nice Vid Taz! I had an H2 and that thing would climb up on its back wheel on its own!
  20. like the back, front text on chest can be a tad smaller
  21. Rick, Let me know when you can do my seat, if yer willing! I can deliver and pick it up myself.
  22. yea, what Cliff said!
  23. After reading those articles, I think he wants one of his own.
  24. My left one crumbled over time and leaked bad. I ended up JB Welding the hole. I think I recall ever looking at those maybe a few times in the almost 30 years if my riding a bike. So, it does not bother me. Also, I figured I would run a cross a used one someday that was in decent shape (the whole thing).
