I hear if the water pump is seeping from the seep hole, that it may be coming due for a rebuild. Also, I understand that they came with a plastic impeller and the replacement is metal. Could you have a plastic impeller that mwy be wearing, i dunno. I am seeping a little from the seep hole but have not gone in for a rebuild to even see what impeller type I have. I am sure there are posts on this topic - even for the overheating issues and what people have gone through. I have seen this spoken of often here and at another site. -

Sounds like mine. That is even after all new hoses and thermostat. if it goes over 100 degrees and I am running 70 to 80 for about an hour+, throw some BBQ sauce over me cause i am done. My calves get so hot they hurt. The heat comes right through the seat and starts to work on my own parts perty bad. Ran from Nacogdoches to McKinney and it was about 107 degrees out. About 20 minutes left to the house, the gauge was pegged. I really do not want to ride when it is over 100 degrees, takes all the fun out of it for me. -

The brackets do not show up on their replacement list so I will have to email them. Are the brackets and balls identical to the VentureLine?

Thanks Condor, I will have to look into that!

If you do change out, i could use some of those parts, lol. i think. -
I thought I had the brackets and the broken piece until i started looking and couldn't find them last night. Makes me wonder If I hadn't had them those two pieces for the last 10 years. i lost a lot of stuff that was in the back of my truck when it was stolen 10 years ago - 4 hours before I proposed to Erika. My mind makes me wonder it is is gittin' old. I guess I am at a loss unless Miles has the brackets too! Thanks for the offers!

Look like I misplaced the broken one and the brackets that go with it. looks like a really light smoke. Miles, added the pics for you too see. Squid, doubt you will part with the brackets because of your project.

This might be fun. My eldest boy = ThunderNutZ My eldest girl = MonkeyNutZ My youngest girl = NumbNutZ The top two kids, those are their XBOX Gamer tags. In fact, they answer to them better than their real names. When I pick them up from day care, I say "Jaffa, Cree!" and they come runnin'. I don't have to say anything else, lol.

It's amazing how many dealers have no idea what these bikes are, even at a Yamaha dealer. To me, if you work at a dealer, you had better have some knowledge of darn near every bike, even more for the brand that they sell. If you don't know and even if you act like you know but really don't, I can see that losing sales for them - parts or bikes. If a dealer is like this, they wont see me again. How can ya trust em.

I have had to use my dremel to cut slits in the screws that stripped. Then I use a flat head screw driver and. maybe tap it with a small hammer if needed. I have a few on the diaphragm covers like this.
