  1. Kewl pics! "It was funny how many Harley riders stopped to check the Venture out." Of course the Harley riders checked out your bike. They thought it was a Harley and wondered why theirs did not look as good!
  2. Yea, my thoughts exactly! Oh wait, I am hosting one!
  3. There was a thread with a link to one just last week. It is around somewhere. It was geared more towards headsets but darn near no real difference. Found it - http://www.msf-usa.org/index_new.cfm?spl=2&action=display&pagename=State%20Laws
  4. Me too!
  5. Nice! That really looks good. As long as you can remember what toggle does what, you will be in good shape on the road.
  6. Hide something on this site. The one that finds it wins.
  7. Well, I got the new sidestand and shoulder bolt with nut on today. Her is what I found. The shoulder bolt was only slightly worn. The new one almost had the same play but not as much. The sidestand had worn some froom swinging back anf forth so much. Just over half the play I had in it has gone but there is still some play left. So, my conclusion is that the hole that the shoulder bolt slides through will wear quite a bit and the sidestand will too. But, It appears that most of the play will come from the worn hole with the shoulder bolt. I personally will not be able to go any further to remove all of the play but it has lost a measurable amount so I will live with what I got now.
  8. Now I know what Flanders bars are, kewl. I like the color of that bike, Nice!
  9. Yup, mixing brake fluid and the plastic is not a good thing. Brake fluid WILL melt the plastic and lift the paint. And if any falls in the radio, from the clutch master cylinder, start dodging buttons. The springs under those buttons will shoot em right out of there. Try the plastic welding glue from Permatex for ABS. It has a pink label. It is sandable too.
  10. That is a perty slick setup. Now how 'bout a pic with it all installed.
  11. Well I'll be darn. There is a use for that hole after all. Now I am gonna wonder if there was a plug or something perty for that hole that come up missing on mine. Hope I can fit a switch in there, it would shore look better.
  12. I meant the PM thing.
  13. Did it change, looks exactly the same to me unless i am missing something or using the wrong one. Is there another one?
  14. What is the story with that hole. I heard it was for a manual choke but i already got one on the left handlebar. I want to put a switch there for my driving lights. Is this gonna happen? Do they make them skinny enough to fit that hole and and enough room for the 3 blades underneath? An inquiring mind wants to know and also plug that annoying hole! PS. I forgot to tell you where the hole is. It is the one next to the ignition switch.
  15. Good time to put a nice polish on those forks. You can get all the way around em!
