WOW what a challenge. Good luck I hope you succeed. There are many on this forum that would like to quit. I have been smoke free for 30 years. I wish I could say I been in a smoke free enviroment but the second hand smoke is all around me.

You second gen boys never satisfied. You can out run a Harley but thats not good enough. Bring on the Nasty boys,K&N filters, programmable electronic ignitions, even installing Vmax rearends and Still can't catch a stock first gen. You boys just shine your chrome and dream about the smile on a first gen owners face.:rotf:

Our riding time this year is almost non existent. Every time something comes up. The 84 had one 1/2 day ride solo in the mountains. We took the 89 to Freebirds maint day event and one local meet and eat. The 99 went on Vacation to Florida and back via vogel. Other then an occasional ride to the store or something that is it. I'll be lucky to get 4-5K this year.I bet Lowell gets 5K per month.

Happy Anniversary Mamamo. What happened to the good old days when dinner and a $20 gift was fine? I took her to the mall the other day and said you pick something out? She said how much can I spend? Ahhh $100.00 :whistling:. She was insulted. I even offered to look at the craftsman tools but had no takers. Dinner was $100.00 been 26 years does it get better or just more expensive?I hope you like the Ruby?

Ahh geeeeez this is a bad sign it means winter is coming. The board getting filled up with second gen is better then first gen garbage. It's gonna be a long winter. Every body knows first gens rule. I here it every meet and eat. Slow down the second gen boys are coming and we don't want to loose them somewhere in the mountains. Give me a Red Baron and Blue beast run any day. Is that Brown sugar I see in the rear view?:whistling:

Welcome to the age of Identity theft. The age of abundant information puts us all at risk. You guys might want to take a look at life lock. http://www.lifelock.com/default.aspx?promocode=now The free credit reports each year, instant notification of a request for credit in your name, and a cut down of junk mail is worth 9 bucks a month.Never thought I would see the day we needed this protection. Paul Harvey says its a good thing.

My fall foliage runs will have to wait. Maybe next year. Were installing new laminate flooring in the dining room, den, and living rooms. Ramona is painting to. Working weekends we should be done in two more weeks. Then I have a couple weekends of work left outside. Hey Yammer we could make a Christmas run. You got that scoot running?

All I am saying is I do not have enough evidence to make a judgment call and neither does any of us.Getting back to the origin of this thread. I think the benefits of a head light modulator out weight the risk.Increasing our visibility is a great thing. However we should always expect the unexpected with approaching traffic. I may get a modulator some day.

Murder is way to strong of an opinion here. We all have opinions because Gary and Leslie were one of our own.The fact is none of us witnessed the tragedy. If we had still our accounts may not totally agree. On the other hand that could have been my daughter or yours. What bothers me is the mental stress our country's youth are under.Little values, morals,or support. Many of them raise themselves.I monitor the daily incarcerations at our local jail.Way to many teenagers going to jail.I wonder if there child hood environment had been different if the out come would change.True teenagers have to many things on there minds. This hinders proper judgment while operating a motor vehicle. Our law enforcement is covered up with domestic violence issues. In my youth we didn't even lock the front door when leaving.

I seen a modulator yesterday and was impressed at the noticeable visibility it provided. However to those who are totally unfamiliar with a motorcycle I'm not sure what there first impression might be. Especially in making a split second decision. Still no excuse for what happened just my two cents.

Lowell some day (after retirement) I hope to ride maybe half as much as you. What a wonderful way to see the USA and Canada. Right now I can not imagine what plenty of time and money to travel is like. For now only in my dreams but someday soon I hope the freedom of the open road with my lady will happen.

18 year old autistic boy been missing for 5 days in the rugged terrain of Dolly Sods WV. He was found alive and well at 2:15 today by rescuers. What a frightening experience for him not able to talk or respond. He has been reunited with family and is receiving medical attention.

My advice to every man is to follow his heart and conscience. Peace of Mind is mandatory for a enjoyable riding experience. Solo riding I love my 84 for those familiar territory adventures. Riding two up again familiar territory it's the 89's turn. After we purchased the 99 with voyager kit in my opinion it is the only choice for riding two up,towing, in out of state travel. Peace of mind is increased with the added visibility, wet road handling of the voyager. Again this is my preference and every man his own. There are alternatives what ever it take just enjoy the ride.

Well it's official. The Yellow bird is gone. Traded for a wade of twentys that would choke a horse. All from a atm machine. Wait till his dad gets the cash advance bill on that credit card. Good bye old friend. We took one last run into triple digits but now you belong to another. I hope that kid is careful.

I have been on the national do not call registry since day one. I just renewed it for another 5 years and added the cell numbers. I'm tired of this so I'm going to give them Rednecks number.:rotf:

We are getting 2 or more phone calls every day including weekends from bill collectors. They get the wife out of bed every day (she works nights). I do not want to change our number nor turn down the ringer and miss a important call. When you call these collectors and explain the situation they refuse to quit calling. What is the situation NONE OF THE CALLS ARE FOR US OR ANYBODY LIVING IN THE HOUSE.Over the years relatives,ex son-in-laws,etc, have give out my phone number as a contact because they don't have one and now I pay the price NO SLEEP. I do not want to pay the phone company a monthly fee for blocker service. Does anybody know of a after market blocker I can purchase to send these calls to never never land but pass others to the phone.

Dan you need to replace posting time with riding time.Winter is coming soon enough but we got a few weeks or months left. 84 is ready.

Help !! Lost a Cylinder.
FROG MAN replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Fuel,Air,Spark = Vroooomm. First thing I would check is spark. Remove plug wire connect old plug and check for arc against motor or frame. You may have lost pickup coil input for that cylinder ( connector problem). No input means no output spark this is easy to check. Pull plug and see if it is saturated with fuel. Those V4's foul plugs easy. -
Hey Dog nobody here.Just had to vent. Locals are to blown out of there minds. They don't know what a venture is. They look at you stoned and say nice harley.Would steal anything for drug money.
