  1. Thanks roadkill. Venture friends sure like to spend other peoples money.:rotf:
  2. Momamo's 99 has a cracked cowling and very bad scuffs behind the barons sticker. Inside the whole right side plastic tabs are gone so nothing to hold the screws in place. I have the right side secure with plastic wire ties. I'm not going to pay $450 for a new one so what are my options? I seen a used one sell on Ebay for $75 one time but probably never again. Maybe it's time for a beer 30 cowling hooter. Anybody any good at plastic repair. Getting close to paint time.
  3. Snowing faithful now about twice a week. I think we get more winter in feb and march then any other month. I got mud knee deep out here when it's not snowing. Bike been setting for 4 months makes for riding skills getting a little rusty.Nice to know my first maneuver will be that creek.Water still cold in march.
  4. Got one of those in my new front yard. They are nice.
  5. My 84 likes 75 but the real sweet spot gets only 28mpg.:rotf:
  6. Football in the spring versus riding? Not sure where your at? What spring still snowing here.
  7. Now you didn't think I bought a Harley did you?:rotf::rotf: I'm talking about Direct tv's new HDTV receiver and a couple of standard units for the kids. Dish network was losing our locals at the end of the month so we upgraded. Now I can watch football in HD sure makes the cheerleaders look better.:rotf:
  8. Only on road trips.
  9. Better odds the MAN with one then 600 with none.
  10. 25 years with a Red Head!!! Holy Cow.:rotf: Now I know why you work out of town .:stirthepot: The best of wishes and prayers if needed. There is no getting out of this one for good behavior and bad behavior will cost you everything. At least you enjoy a long ride on a first gen to settle your mind. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Hey Margaret take care of the Muffinman.
  11. Get well soon. I can't relate with the medical ailment but I know several people that are a pain in the A**. Now about that 10 day no ride problem. Try 4 Months and still waiting.:crying:
  12. Captain Bull a Delaware Indian chief settled the little community next door of Bulltown. Bulltown is famous for the civil war battle fought there. Our road has always been named Hemp Patch. Maybe this is where they raised there crop for the peace pipe. Anyway after living here most of my life we voted to change the name to Horseshoe Falls Lane. Were finally getting a fire locator address and took the opportunity to change. The wife never liked the name but I think my neighbor still carries on it's growing tradition for his peace pipe. :rotf:
  13. Few people left in the world that has a conscience. I pay all my bills on time and even paid some I didn't owe or was in question. Good credibility and a good name is the pride of a family.Learned some hard lessons to. I wish I had all the money people owe me.
  14. I understand the liability issue with the mfgs. How soon will the insurance company's jump on the wagon and say towing not covered with motorcycles.
  15. Nothing to worry about it. I just got the call. Hey froggy it's snowing could you come pick me up at work tonight PLEASE. That woman wouldn't drive in the snow if I bought her a tank. It's nice to be needed.:whistling:
  16. You boys don't know how to handle your women. Mine will even wipe down the bike for me. I got witnesses. Hey where did you find that picture of my bike. Thats my old kz750. Must be a peace offering she's wanting something. Mumbling something about the 14th.
  17. No problems here but things could be worse. The scanner was full yesterday with trees down creating brush fires. We had one just 1/2 from here. At 4:00 am there is still 7000 people with no electricity. Many with no source of backup heat. Now the scanner is full of personal injury accidents. People just trying to stay warm at 4:00am.People are to dependent on electricity and many do not have a plan for a outage. Darn cold night to go without.
  18. Don I know what you mean. The one I kept has cost me more money.
  19. I had one just like her. I bought it new off the showroom floor for $1995 in 79. Sold it when I found mamamo in 81. I couldn't afford them both so had to let one go. A man does some strange things at times.I bought my 84 venture 24 years later.
  20. I ride on Sundays most of the time. I'm really looking forward to that landscaping project. No doubt all of our plans will be a 10 year project but hey. Do a little now and then and it will all come together. Camping, grilling out, sitting around the fire pit, and riding. Sounds like a great summer to me.
  21. OK guys I'm getting several emails with many wanting the same items. Like I said I'll start parting this thing out in March. I wish I had a nice place to work but not the case. Maybe some of the mud will dry up in march. I'll let some of you know soon about what I need from those parts. This bike has potential to be a good rider but I want to keep some of those parts for myself.
  22. I got a super deal on two hole locust post and 8ft rails. You might call it a 1/2 price sale. Momamo picked up some awesome red and charcoal mix block for the fire pit. Let the fun (ouch my back) begin. Now if it just quits snowing calling for two inches tonight.
  23. Warmer weather coming I'll get my 84 on the lift and take a look. Serious oil leak on my left side. Good running scoot to.
  24. Dan keep a spare cell available. The neighbor must have got a new toy. He has been shooting every day. I didn't know a felon could own a gun? Funny thing he manages to hide them when a hint of law enforcement is in his area. Must be listening to the scanner.
  25. This is getting depressing. I don't remember when my last ride was. Was it early November? or later October? Same here mud knee deep one day and snow the next.
