    :rotf: Actually mine was pushing Yammers to make him feel good about staying ahead 24 mpg.

    Those down draft carbs were sucking so much air the vacumn was lifting the float bowels blowing gas right out the over flow vents.

    The power and speed was incredible. Common since said get the Hell off and sell it. So I did. I'm glad that bike was not available when I was a kid. My ole Triump I had at 16 topped out at 112 mph.I thought that was fast.

    My vmax had a kerker on it. Now that was loud.:rotf:Sound travels at 1200 fps. The only way I got some peace and quiet was to outrun the noise. Now I remember why I sold that bike.

    Got the new ram in 4G in a 2004 pentium 4 machine. I'm waiting for Windows 8 before I upgrade or replace it.

    Jardines is hard to find. 84 needs a little tuneup I know a certain 85 that runs pretty good!

    I ordered two new batteries for the first gens today.With gasoline prices rising looks like more riding for me. Now to figure out my fuel economy problem on the 84. I normally get 36 mpg but when I ride with Yammer Dan I only get 24 mpg. Must be a fuel leak somewhere?

    I am credit card only. No cash for me. I would love to see a cash less society. I bet that would shut down all the cash only drug deals around here. Not to mention all the phoney bills being printed just to buy drugs.Credit cards is the only way I can monitor 100 % where my money goes. If you don't like using your bank debit card just use a credit card and pay the balance in full once a month.It would cost me $10 in gas just to go to the bank to get cash once a week.Thats more money then I have ever lost on credit card transactions in 10 years.

    Going to get the 84 out of the barn moved down to the camp with the 89. Dam :think: whats that out there on the lift? looks like a slow 99 I need to get in that shed more often.

    I could use some of that wood down at the camp. I got a 4x7 trailer and a tow hitch on the First Gen.

    My 85 was very fast with K&N filters and a Kerker Exhaust. Not real comfortable riding position and the cornering was poor compared to my 84.Dam fast though.

    Everybody should try one but nobody should own one.Had mine about a year and sold it.That much acceleration can't stay out of it, Rear tire good for about 1500 miles.I had to try it but glad I sold it. Now if I had that engine in my 84.

    Best diet I know is a hard days ride on a fast first gen. I think I'm loosing my nerve though. Those Harleys keep a pretty good oil slick in the curves around here.
