I'm lucky so far so good. Our company is running a skeleton crew. Our work load is stable but the biggest problem is health care insurance. We can't keep paying a 30 % rate increase every year. It looks like in a few months we may be canceled and each employee be on there own to find affordable health care. Vehicles out of Detroit are rapidly decreasing in quality. I have drove a Ford pickup on the job for 20+ years. The last new 05 model I got has give me so much problems I gave it away last week and picked up a 2008 chevy express van with AWD. My installer got the 05 pickup and guess what he done. Tore the 4wd out of it last week. 95% of our running is Interstate can trucks not handle that? I just got Ramona's Colorado out of the shop today. Is it fixed time will tell.

Ramona just planted some new roses last weekend. So far so good.The rose bandit drives by the camp everyday but no longer stops.:big-grin-emoticon:

Anybody traveling this weekend. Were out of here in the morning. Ramona and I both need a break and next week I'm on vacation.We both been working OT with little time for our selves.I'll be working some around the camp next week but hey I'm looking forward to it.Time to get the scoots out to if the weather cooperates. We should be at the Red Lobster Friday evening at 6:30 if anyone wants to meet for supper. 8:00 am at the Cracker Barrel for breakfast Saturday morning. My meeting in pennington gap area is 11:00 am to mid afternoon then were heading home. If you can just call Ramona's cell 304-613-1615 if you want to meet. We will probably be in Bristol,Va early Friday afternoon for some shopping etc before supper.

Maybe is time to start making more dependents....I am this year. I don't like the squalling of the grandkids so no way I'm adding any dependents. But I do enjoy the practice sessions.:big-grin-emoticon:

Panama City beach was an affordable place to stay. We stayed in a gulf front condo there two years ago.It was cool cruising up and down the strip and we loved shell island.The hotel even had basement parking for the scoot.A motorcycle event there would be great.

I don't like defeat so I'm not giving up. This economy dealt a serious blow to my retirement and house plans but were going forward.Were not going into debt but this dream will stay alive. In two weeks were meeting with a designer to draw up our blueprints and finalize our plans.I'm going to put up a log home shell and have a roofing party.Once it is under roof then it is a slow do it yourself completion job which may take several years. It's hard to wait but patience will bring success. I could go to the bank and borrow the money and start now but thats not the plan. I'm 50 and a 20-25 year mortgage at my age just doesn't feel right.Who wants to give the bank all that interest anyway.Were going to pay down debt and save our money.With a few good investments along the way in 4-5 years I can pay cash for a shell and get it under roof. Ramona is looking forward to buying and storing items for the new house.Good clearance deals can be found on windows,doors,etc if we just keep our eyes open and look around.We have enough wood working tools to build some of the furniture such as a log bed frames,night stands and who knows what else she may want.We want a rustic looking cabin and nothing fancy so home made furniture will fit right in. Until it's time to tear the old house down were busy with outside projects. I planted 6 fruit trees this month and going to cut and trim some trees over easter break.Wish us luck this dream will stay alive.

I have a roll of 7ft tall deer netting so I might as well use it. We bought some deer repellent sent for plants. I'm going to spray some of it on weekly. The laundry sheet idea sounds good to I might try all three and see what happens.If none of that works it's deer steak for them.

Anybody else got fruit trees? No exactly an Orchard but I planted six semi dwarf fruit trees this weekend. Three variety of apples,one each plum,peach,and cherry. We may plant more but a start for now at the camp. MamaMo planted more Roses and a Blueberry bush.Taking vacation time over Easter break to do more work at the camp.Now if those pesky deer leave the trees alone.

If anybody wants to meet for supper on Good Friday Ramona and I will be in Bristol,Va for the night. That is on the Virginia side of Bristol TN.Were planning for supper at the Red Lobster and Breakfast Saturday morning at the Cracker Barrel. Both are beside I-81 exit 7 on Old Airport Rd. If you could make it for supper or breakfast great.Not sure if we will be on the bike or her pickup.

Electric Company is asking for a 43% raise over the next 3 years. I'm glad I have plenty of wood and free NG.Debt is a way of life for most but many can't manage it.A neighbor went to a car dealership to buy a new truck.He wanted to pay cash for the advertised price. He was told that price is for financing customers only No cash deal.

Due to the recent economic downturn and increased utility rates. In order to balance the budget I am forced to make some changes. I have decided to park my truck and ride the scoot more.:cool10: Sometimes sacrifices have to be made. See ya at the DQ. Seriously folks I wish all the best for those who may be out of work. Where do you buy the replacement oil filter? Yea the Yamaha dealer has them but only other place I found was tractor supply. I never ask at the auto parts stores.
