I'm taking 89 down to the camp this weekend to clean it up. Going to cut some grass then take a ride somewhere. Might have to load it on trailer to get it there rain coming.

Being where you want to be! Doing what you like to do! With the one you love by your side! Where there is a will a way will be made. East Tenn sure is a nice place. Making good money is important but so is having spare time. Make sure you get the right balance of both and life will be good.

Long drive we done a detour up part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had lunch near Mt Mitchell then took the detour north to I81. Great meet in Asheville and a nice campground.

I just got home from Maryland. Were leaving tomorrow morning. No time to get the bike ready plus it's raining. I'm fighting yellow jackets. They built a nest on the front porch. Got to clean them up before I leave. Might just torch the whole place and move to the camp.

Have you ever camped on the BRP? I'm talking about the primitive No Water or Electricity Camps etc. Sounds like a different experience for the kids. Are the higher elevation temperatures cool at nights even in August? What about cell phone coverage along the Parkway?Mamamo is making a menu and packing the Coleman tent and stove.She might even take a dutch oven.:cool10:

We should be at the campground by 4:30 Friday evening. Anything planned for Friday evening? Looking forward to kicking back for a while. We enjoyed it last year.

I started the 89 today. New battery installed and picking up license on Monday. Just might make Asheville Friday.Wonder what weather forecast says?

Cabin 19 should be available at Vogel. I had it reserved for Thursday,Friday,and Saturday nights.Circumstances have changed and were doing a family outing that week. Have fun whoever gets it.

I bought a new battery for the 89 today. How do you charge yours when new? I'm going to pour in the acid and let it set for a few hours then charge at 2 amps for a day. My charger should kick back when it's full charged. I was hoping to ride this weekend but the licensee expired on the scoot July 1 and the DMV was closed today.I got to wait till Monday now and I'm going out of town next week.

We could put it on the lift and change out that collector. Maybe a little tweaking while it's up on the lift. I think good therapy maybe? A little Wrench time,Ice creame from the DQ, Girls at the DQ? -
Guess I got to slow down coming back from vogel. First gen two up and towing 300lb runs pretty good.

I tried to start the 84 this evening. Electrical system totally dead even with a battery charger on it. Guess I need to check my connections. Seems Like I remember another scoot over about snowshoe just starting up the scenic highway that died like that one time.

Actually Mamamo is going to clean it. I just got to do the maint on it.Load up the 89 and haul it to the camp next weekend.

It is the trunk on the RSV that gets in the way. I use a 5X8 CarryOn trailer for all my needs. I have the swing down large mesh gate and use rails on the side to extend the gate back far enough to allow the Venture to ride on it. This has been an excellant trailer and I bought it slightly used for $500. I bought a 5x8 CarryOn trailer today.Now to lay down a wood floor on top of the mesh. I have several treated 1x6 decking boards laying around for this.If I need to modify the front for additional 6 inches of clearance thats fine. I could not see paying more money for the 10 ft model.
