Got brake lights fixed. Checked brake pedal switch and removed and reseated both bulbs in tail light. Everything OK now???? Not sure exactly what fixed it.

OK guys yesterday at some point I lost both rear brake lights on my 04 silverado. I drove the last 300 miles with my daughter tailing me tight with her Subaru just to make it here.I believe I have a wiring problem. The brake fuse is fine,tail light bulbs are fine, and the third brake light that sets high above the rear glass works OK. This tells me the brake light switch is OK.The ground to both rear tail lights is probably OK as the rear turn signals,park lights etc are OK. I'm thinking maybe the master feed line comes into some connection plugs under the frame behind rear bumper. I'll check it out today when it warms up here. I got my volt meter with me just no wiring diagram.Those rear electrical plugs may be corroded.Nothing like plenty to do on vacation.

I'm lucky my bills are insignificant compared to what some people deal with. I to remember when insurance took care of most everything. The new trend is high insurance premiums and high deductibles.One of the largest monthly bills I have is for health care premiums for insurance I have never used. My future retirement plans are quickly becoming only dreams, thanks to set backs with my 401k, and the thought of future health care. Here is to the future of affordable health care and thanks for keeping this thread non political.

From time to time it is necessary to negotiate payments with bill collectors. I am talking about those unexpected medical bills that can pile up from just a few visits to the clinic.I have learned to negotiate quickly with these people since they have the power to file judgments,garnish wages, and even send out private investigators to find you and your assets. Our major medical insurance is just that. Major medical with a $2500 deductible per person. So those normal routine services and minor medical procedures are billable.I called today and negotiated a payment plan for 3 accounts from last month.The good news is these negotiated payments are interest free.The bad news is I'm paying for inflated services. After all a clinic is a business and those who don't pay and have nothing of value their loss is past on to me. At least thats the way I see it.Nothing like unexpected bills to crash the budget.

OH YEA I can think of a few things that puts me out like a light. Just can't get the wife to cooperate anymore. So come on over coffee is always on at 3:00 am.:rotfl:

Arthur I could use some help carrying all those fish from the pier. Oh yea we got a pool table and free High speed Internet. We can stuff mini muffin downstairs in the den so it should be peaceful.

Arthur My guess is noon on Thursday but I'll let MamaMo chime in on that. Were staying on Atlantic drive in Rodanthe right next to the Rodanthe fishing pier. Look for a new 3 story green house called Pier Pressure.

I was out moving dirt today with the FEL. I filled up several mud holes in the driveway. It was a nice day.

She started after High School and quit. Two marriages and two kids later she is finally finishing up this Spring.

I been out car shopping with the oldest daughter.Car dealers thought we were crazy. We want to buy this much car $$$$ for this much money $$. It must have ground clearance and be AWD. They all went HUH WHY? CREEK crossing gets them every time.We finally found a usable SUBARU. How many cars does it take to get through college? This is number 6.

Daughter, Granddaughter, and now the Grandson. They will all be going to the doctor or ER tomorrow if there is somebody well enough to drive them.I'm dead on my feet drained of energy but can't sleep. 3 days of fever is no fun.

The catching of the Rose thief live in the act put a stop to mischief at the camp. Along with patrols daily for months. But catch a man down on his luck with the swine flu and not able to patrol and guess what happens. MamaMo's display of Fall Pumpkins on the front porch is gone. We now have a pumpkin bandit on the loose.I'll be back on patrol soon but if I don't catch them the Swine Flu will.

Our granddaughter just came home with a fever. There dropping like fly around here. Flu shots still not available.
