Jack of all trades here. A country boy can survive. I do my own plumbing both water, gas, and electrical. Repair the furnace and appliances. I remember my neighbor went to through out a new gas dryer that quit running. I have had it now for 10 years works fine.I do the maint on my place best I can.I hate working on the gas well in the winter but since it's only 20 yards from the house and those regulators need some attention now and then.I blew the drip last week and got the water out.I have to go out once in a while and crack open the gas well to get the pressure up. Those well tenders turn them in when the price is down and causes the line pressure to drop.If I could get my hands on a NG carb conversion kit for the portable generator that would be cool. I wonder how the first gen would run on NG.

Geeeeeez and I ride with these guys. WHY? What ever happened to simple questions like what kind of oil do you use?:rotfl:

How's that first gen garage a coming? You got a stall for each one? I heard they was a slow 86 close buy looking for a home. I bought a 6 ft rear blade for the tractor. Take care of the snow this winter. I'm taking Easter week off. Going down to the camp and landscape a spot and road for a scoot shed.

Got a gas well in the back yard. Yep they screw it up once in a while.

I replaced the blower motor on mine about 5 years ago. I try to do all the work myself. She got a new gas valve about 10 years ago. Living in the country repair people are hard to find. Mine is an old intertherm and parts are available online only.

Yep she still running like a new one. Just needed a little :smash2:

I can think of a thing or two :rotfl:It would be H to pay if I woke her up right now.

So far so good. The pilot light is staying on. Just had to sync the carbs and adj the idle. I mean sync the thermocouple and adj the pilot.
-
Really I do! I can't think of a #@^* thing I would rather be doing then working on the furnace at 1:00 AM in the morning. It did not act like a bad thermocouple. The pilot light would stay on and light the burner one time. After the burner shut off it blew the pilot out. I noticed the pilot was low but the pilot adj would not increase gas flow. So for the second time tonight I removed the gas valve and burner assembly. I cleaned the pilot orfice and adjusted the thermocouple position. Just got it back together and fired it up. It's coffee break time while I wait and see. That old furnace is 30 years old. I hate to replace it. It runs like a first gen just needs some tlc once in a while.

Selling Sugar is the only way to avoid a showdown with Ugly in the spring. Smart move now we will never know?

Why do I have that feeling we will be using the generator alot this winter? We currently have 16,000 with no electric and I'm on generator. The winds should die down later tonight so maybe power company can get the tree's off the lines and line fuses reset.

I never had the first ride of 2009 yet. Miles logged for the year 0. I think I'm done crossing that creek. 2009 was a wet year which kept the water up and that makes for slippery crossing in warm weather. I hope to put up a shed at the camp and move a scoot or two down there in the spring. I'm cutting my own grass now instead of contracting out both places so time on weekends is less.

Drunk my last beer 30 years ago. I never cared much for the taste of beer but a good tasting beer might be tempting once in a while. I do share a glass of wine on specials occasions with my wife.Once in a while we will drink wine during private times together on the weekends. It's not a necessity and not uncommon to go 30 days or more between drinks. I have no problem with cooking wines or alcohol prepared in food although a label to this affect would be appropriate for those who might.Being on call 24/7 prohibits me from drinking and I never drink and drive, Not even with a meal while dining. That is my choice and preference as I like to have control. A little wine now and then is no doubt good for you but I keep it under control. I don't remember ever being drunk so it has always been limited.I'm also under doctors orders not to drink due to a non life threatening liver disorder that is easily stressed.

This has been a great week. It's the first time I have missed opening week of deer season for a beach trip. My brother called from home today and said no luck hunting so I didn't miss much. Were glad mini could make it and was hoping ADC could. We will be back in June to do it again and maybe bring the scoot.

I'll take a 4 inch mound of mashed potatoes with the center hollow and filled with 2 pints of gravy. Lay a stack of ham and turkey beside that with gravy on the bird. Now fill any vacancies on the plate with an assortment of veggies. (This may require more then one plate). Now I need half a dozen sweet rolls to my left with butter, and a half gallon of ice tea on my right. After a second helping it's time to sample all the desserts followed by some quality time on the couch in the horizontal position.
