  1. After 26 years working for the same company, it's time to move on. Things have been dicey for the last few years, but at this point they can no longer offer reliable year 'round work. I was hoping to retire here, but the bottom line is I gotta work. SO I"ve accepted a positiion with another outfit; they're matching my benefits plus a little bump in pay scale.. Sad to go but it's necessary. I'm starting to get a little excited about it though as my duties will be a little different, in a good way. Wish me luck.

  2. I am selling my Venture Royal. It needs a starter clutch and I don't have the time (and skills) to do it. Other than the starter clutch issue, bike was running good. Both tires fairly new and battery replaced a year ago. I am in the Annapolis, Maryland area. $400

  3. Yesterday the weather alternated between rain and snow all day. I decided to do soma odds and ends on the bikes. Hadn't checked the air pressure on Eileen's trike tires and found the rears to be over inflated by 10 lbs and the front was 5 lbs low. Then decided to check the air in the rear suspension. I apparently I gave away my last Prorgressjive air pump when I sold the last bike so had to go find one. Found a Harley dealership open about an hour away so drove over to get it. When I was checking out, the lady asked if I needed anything else and knowing that they don't normally stock Vance and Hines mufflers, I said yea, I need a pair of Vance and Hines mufflers for a 22 Road Glide Limited. She said great, I have a brand new set still in the. box that I ordered for a customer who changed his mind and will make you a good deal on them. I had planned to eventually buy a set of Vance and Hines Monster Rounds. These were Vance and Hines Torquer 450's and after doing a bit of research on them and her knocking $300.00 off the price, I decided to buy them. Got home and first checked her rear suspesion and found that it was set on. zero. pressure. Got it adjusted properly. and about that time, Amazon delivered the KuryAkyn highway. pegs I had ordered for her so I. went. ahead and iinstalled them. So now I'm done with her trike for now at least. I've added a riders backrest, passenger backrest, KuryAkyn cup holder, phone mount with charger, Windshield pouch, and the highway pegs. She is good to go. So then I installed the new mufflers on my Road Glide. in my opinion, they look and sound great. At least sitting in the garage. I actually like them better than the Monster Rounds. I think the 4 1/2" gives it a considerably deeper sound the the 4" Monster Rounds. It is a bit louder than stock but not obnoxious. I'll know more after the weather gets better and I can get it on the road. All in all, a fairly productive day.

  4. Eileen and I managed to get a little ride in today. Only about 50 miles I think. All backroads as she is still learning. She’s going ok but still needs a lot more time in the seat and learning how to find neutral.

  5. Hi All It has been awhile since my last update so I thought I would give you all an update on how the Single Carb is working The summer and Riding Season is nearing the end for this year in my Area, cool evenings with Foggy mornings and summer temps during the day, and unfortunately I am still a working stiff so Riding time is limited. Went out yesterday and toured the countryside with the misses and my 3 riding Buddies to check out the fall colors. The Bike ran better than ever so I did a Mileage check, we ran 212 Km before I filled the tank, the Guage was fluttering on the last bar and the warning light flashing when I pulled into the Gas Station, I filled up and it only toke 15 Litres of fuel of the max capacity of 20L, doing the calculation that works out to approx 39MPG, not bad for 2 up riding, a combination of Highway , secondary Highways hills etc. the VW Pict 34 is working great, I am still running it with the Electric Choke active, I know I am running on Choke occasionally as when we get to a stop sign the Bike is on a higher Idle and I need to give it a crack or 2 of the Throttle to get it back to an Idle. Although I liked the concept of the electric Choke I will be going back to a Manual cable Choke to help improve the Fuel Mileage, between this and re-jetting it will be a different Bike next year. Due to all the rain we got this summer, I have not taken the time to correct the scrapping floorboards and decided to leave this for the winter so I did not take away from the few good riding days we had , same holds true for the Leaking front fork seals. The Kenda Kruz K673 tires have performed awesome through all riding conditions including a 6 Km Gravel stretch of Roadwork we went through yesterday, anyone looking for an inexpensive Tire these tires are for you a set of Front 71H and Rear 77H at Revco.ca here in Canada delivered to my house for $260 Cdn plus taxes. With Regards to the Air suspension settings I have found the ideal settings for me as most here suggested no air up front with the progressive springs and for the rear Medium when Driving Alone and High with the Wife on the back. again this may change once I get more lean angle and no leaking front forks. needless to say I am more than pleased on how the Bike running and I am enjoying the comfort everytime we hit the road. Have a good night all Herman
