  1. I finally got in over the last couple of weeks and they put a new lens in the right and left eye. All I can say is wow its like seeing a new world out there again. If you have been putting it off dont. Its quick in and out. Both times I was in and out the door in less than two hours and the surgery didnt even take 10 minutes. Crazy the stuff they can do now. Sharon and me got on the bike and put on 150 some miles Saturday. And no more of that funny feeling in my head that I have been getting the past couple of years when going around the curves and there are plenty of those around here. And am back to getting to my list of things that I had put on the back burner until I had this done. Next on my list is me and my Granddaughter are heading out fishing next week now that I can see to tie on a hook or a lure and we should have us a great time. And then I am going to pack up the cycle and pull up to the end of the drive and flip a coin for left or right and take a ride for a few days with no place special in mind. Orlin

  2. The only progessive springs I have are in use. You may want remove and inspect the anti-dive valves. They can get bunged up with crap due to old moisture ladden brake fluid. Also check out Zedno in kitchener. There is the chance that they have some damaged forks that may contain progressives.

  3. Have you checked with dealer or web site for Progressive(if they are still available)? I have an 87 with springs in it but still haven't decided what I'm doing with it. Had bumping accident back in 08 ,bought back with intention of putting back on road when I retired.. Was NOT written off ! Put up for sale a few years ago to get back what I bought it back for($600) might be convinced to change mind as can't really afford to rebuild now I think! As stated in Ontario get together by @XV1100SE would be a great way to get to know some of us! Or maybe some Saturday would be better!

  4. Today I spent a little time on the Venture tinking with some plastic repair issues. The ride side panel that holds the CB and air controls was a little busted up at the mounting holes. So I tried some simple rubber tapered washers to help hold the panel in place. You can watch the short video here:

  6. I mow with a 4 wheeled Gravely 816 with a 50" deck. It was manufactured in 1973 ! In the time I've owned it, other than oil and filter changes I've rebuilt the engine once and replaced the PTO & belt once. I'd say that's pretty good for a 50 year old mower. Gravely made a few 4 wheelers that will run a 60" deck. All attachments are shaft driven by a true transmission internal PTO. I fully expect this mower to outlive me. You could find a nice one with a 60" deck and 48" snow blower for about $3,000 The only Plastic on these tractors is a few bushings, the headlight lens and seat cover.

  7. And yesterday, I sold my beloved old truck, a 2002 F150 Supercab Lariat FX4 with the 5.4L engine. I bought it in 2009 with 69k miles on it and it had 170k. That truck took me to Wisconsin, Homestead FL several times, Wyoming, and Montana as well as many trips not as far. And I sold my 2005 Dodge Magnum RT (Hemi V8) on Wednesday that I bought new. I was overwhelmed with inquiries from the ads on Facebook Marketplace. The truck received over 2100 clicks and 70 or more inquiries. The Magnum got 20 or more inquiries but it sold the morning after placing the ad late on Tuesday night. I never thought I would sell the Magnum but after spending so much on the new Titan, I couldn't justify keeping it. The Titan is powerful enough and comfortable enough that I won't miss the power and comfort of the Hemi Magnum so much. My wife has her car and we didn't need 3 vehicles.
