  1. I installed the Road Star four piston caliper on the front of my 99 along with larger master cylinder from a Road Star. I then took the left front two piston caliper and installed it on the rear, I also installed one of Rick butler's proportioning valve in the rear brake line. The rear combinations put the rear braking right where I feel it should have been from factory. Ron

  2. I’ve settled down now but I travelled extensively for work for many years and embraced the mantra of one of “my Scoutmasters…”We didn’t travel 2k miles to eat what we could eat, or do what we can do at home”

  6. Thank you very much for the kind words! All I did was supply a few parts, YOU did all of the work yourself, and frankly I am VERY impressed with how good a job you did! Not to mention those calipers look GREAT on the front of your bike! Safe Journey's my friend! Earl

  7. It was time to do something different. OK I finally have some time for something different. In the last few weeks UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS went crazy, they’ve been throwing parts on my porch for some reason. 10” apes, Kuryakyn ISO grips, bosses, weights, and foot pegs, a little rework of the dash, Ciro cup holders, and today my missing seats showed up after touring Texas for a couple weeks. It feels like a whole new bike at a fraction of the cost.

  8. I have never been too concerned with tiny oil leaks as long as they are not wet dripping leaks. What we refer to as oil sweating or class 1 leak isn,t worth chasing, neither is a class 2 or wet but not dripping. I might think about fixing it, depending on were it is and how much work it will take to fix. A class 3 or dripping oil leak well that's a winter project. Unless it's so severe it is affecting my oil level which In most case's is unlikely.
